@TampaJay well I'm glad you got down to Englewood when you did and saw my mural, because as of 2 weeks ago the new building owners painted over the whole thing. Solid navy blue. It wasn't even there a year. So it was perfect timing.
Was a batting and golf range. Tropical storm in 2001 pretty much wiped it out from flooding. With all of the development popping up, that has to be some prime real estate.
Wow! I used to (not real proud of this) sit in that boat grave and roll and smoke joints as a kid there. Sometimes to just think...or cry..or rest after a LONG walk at night... MANY TIMES.... Funny thing - As an adult now, I have a huge affinity for cemeteries and also work as a commercial fisherman in the Gulf here. I have never heard of you and never seen one of your videos and didn't even know Englewood was going to be part of this video when you are in front of Troll Music and say you are heading to Englewood to check out a boat grave and I just paused the video immediately and called out to my son out who I told about it and later showed him as well. What are the odds. I always thought it was the coolest - enough to mention it to a handful of people.
Pretty cool stuff from near my stomping grounds, Sarasota. Englewood is starting to pop. So many of my friends that I went to highschool with have stayed in town and are helping to build the town up. Hit Dearborn street. Its looking pretty good. Thanks TJ. In venice Troll music is owned by one of my friends. Hit Bogeys next door for some great food and have some reeses peanut butter pie..ya won't regret it. These are all my areas i grew up in
Jay, I love Englewood too. In the Lemon Bay Cemetery that you visited you will also find buried Emile Gauguin ( and his wife ). He was the son of the famous French artist Paul Gauguin. His Father was best known for his paintings in Tahiti. I always found it interesting that his father traveled extensively and lived throughout the South Pacific, yet his son found his happiness in quaint, sleepy Englewood.
Enjoy your content Jay 👍 I love Halloween, the haunts, the horror genre, blockbuster movies, theme parks and love the Rays ! Keep up the great work 🎃 You deserve the 100,000 subscribers milestone for sure….so close….
Jay, the Tervis building you visited is the actual manufacturing plant for their products. Along US 41, south of Osprey is the main Tervis Tumbler showroom and store.
Pretty cool seeing these roadside gems. I never knew some of those places were there, despite traveling around and through that area for so many years. Thanks for taking us along! (I love tervis tumblers because of the cool colors and designs. I prefer my longtime travel tumbler to anything new. Got mine when I lived in Naples over 20 years ago!) Idea for some fun for you and Cris, maybe hit Fleamasters Fleamarket in Fort Myers sometime. Huge place, lots of really cool stuff. I used to go at least twice a month! Happy Easter!
Jay, the church beside the Lemon Bay Cemetery is called the Green Street Church. It was erected on Green Street in 1928. Green Street comes out onto Dearborn Street on the west end. The church was moved to its present location in 2019.
Jay, the “ river “ you were viewing in Venice is a man made section of the intracoastal waterway. It is the reason downtown Venice became an Island 🏝️ in the early 60s.
Hello my friend! 👋 I would fill my Tervis cup with coffee ☕️, of course. 😋😋😋 I love this Series you do, of abandoned places. ❤ Stay safe, and God bless 🙏 Happy Easter, by the way!
Hello Jay! My name is Abe and I live and work in the Miami area. Like you I love hitting the back roads and scenic highways of our beautiful state and I really enjoy your channel. So I'm going to recommend the area along the Caloosahatchee River between Fort Myers and Labelle...the quicker more efficient highway is 80 which goes west -east south of the river but of course the cooler more interesting route is 78 along the north bank of the Caloosahatchee. You'll pass the old country town of Alma where there's a bridge over the river connecting 78 to 80....then further east you'll run into another bridge at a place called Fort Denaud,if I'm not mistaken that Fort no longer there was from Seminole War times and just before crossing the bridge there's a sole chimney standing where most certainly was a wooden house that burned leaving only the brick chimney standing. Not sure if it's true but I heard somewhere that house was from Civil War times. Anyhow just wanted to suggest you check that area out if you haven't before. Labelle is a cute town on the river worth checking out too, it has an old downtown and nice courthouse. Happy travels!
This was a wonderful watch on this rainy Easter Sunday here in SoCal. Those batting cages look like they might just need a bit of attention to function again. Loved peaceful burial site and that boat grave too👍🏼
Happy Easter! Since the hurricane hit Fort Myers, it's still kind of a mess, and traffic is crazy, so we frequent Englewood Beach a lot. Next time, check out that pop culture store. I still haven't.
always love abandoned stuff , i vlog it as much as possible around the area i live in the UK , would you ever be faced with Rattle snakes We have nothing like that here .
The tree near the train station is called a “strangler fig” eventually the palm will die and there will only be the fig tree. I live in venice…love the video
Hey Tampa Jay. I’m a 63 year old Tampa native but I’ve never heard of Tervis tumblers! I do believe that was a strangler fig wrapped around the palm tree by the train tracks @ 12:06 UPDATE: My apologies, it seems that a banyan tree is a type of strangler fig! Learn something new everyday. Keep Rockin’ Tampa Jay!
20 years ago or so, my employer did some subcontract work in Tervis Tumblers' facility. It's hard to forget the big Tumbler entryway they have. Are they shut down?
Lived in Long Beach CA for 30 years - when you were in Inglewood did you also check out Simon Rodia's Watts Towers? Just curious - another favorite spot.
Cool always love these videos by the way, I hope you wash your hands and face pretty good. You just walked right through poison oak on that batting cage door & Happy Easter 🐰🐣
As an Englewood resident for 35 years now, I wanted to say "Welcome to Englewood!" Also, the sign you said looked like it was KFC, is actually another UA-camr named Danny Duncan. That's his "Cream Pie" store. 😂 Next, you checked out Indian Mounds Park. I love that little park. I did have some fool troll try to tell me how wrong I was for saying that it's a burial site. He had to go out of his way to make me look stupid, when I've been there hundreds of times, walked on the mound, and read the sign.
I always think you're going to pick a sign up like you did here and a Pygmy or Diamond Back Rattler is gonna bite the hand of one of the greatest Orlampa residents of all time. Tampa Jay or as we call ya in the hood T-J. Honestly becareful. Once I was mowing a field with tall grass and there was an old tire in the path of my mower so I got off my Rider and threw the tire where I had already mowed and an 8 foot Diamond Back slithered out of it and towards my mower. I jumped on it and my blades came on and the snake slithered into the mowershoot. and I just heard a raaaaagh and he was dead. and the carcass flew out the shoot that I assume he though was a safe dark whole to get away from me. I of course buried the head with fangs a foot deep because of course they can still inject venom after death until their venom sacs decay. Just be careful Jay. Muslim Chris in Orlando
The shark building was my mural. I also did the 90ft long ENGLEWOOD down the road from it. I also did the Welcome to Clearwater mural
I thought that may have been you!! Love your stuff buddy. Thank you Matt!
Love seeing my work in your videos. I tagged on IG as well. I watch every single video for years and years now. You're a busy guy

There is more to Florida than the theme parks and urban areas of Florida. Natural Florida is also wonderful.

Cedar Key Cemetery is a must for your list.

We took a large amount of damage from Ian here in Englewood/Rotonda. I love living here.

That is Danny Duncan in Englewood, a big UA-camr. He’s a goof. Loved seeing you in my town!!
That’s awesome! Had no idea. Love his sign
@@TampaJayI believe Danny Duncan is also partnered with that Ketnipz advertisement.
He's got almost 8 million subs and all his content is demonetized so he sells merchand energy shots for $ he owes Manador energy drinks
He's pretty much the unofficial mayor of Englewood

Tell City Indiana cemetery has a Mickey Mouse tombstone with eyes that light up at night.
Hey you’re in Sarasota drive by there everyday going to be gone soon though

I drive past this all the time and I always wondered what it was.
Brother we need a Danny Dunkin / Tampa Jay collab👊🙌💥DD/TJ
I’m in
I kept waiting for the tweaker seeing shadow people to jump out and knife you. You have crazy big brass ones walking around in places like that.
hey jay !
Hey
Danny F'ing Dunken. He is a youtuber also!
Bruh that's Danny Duncan. You should've put him in the video if he was there.
The mexican place just closed recently.
What has happened to the economy in America, do people have to be buried in Pringles cans?
Jay low key acting like he doesnt know who Danny Duncan is. 😂 who fell for it?
That wasn’t acting. I’m sure he’s a good UA-camr but I have never heard of him. There’s so many of us. Ha ha I’ll have to check him out.
@TampaJay ....I still dont believe you 😂😅 always love your videos, Jay. Keep it up!
Inglewood always upto no Good.
