I find the saddest thing about these abandoned homes is the family photos just left there & forgotten 😢 I don't understand why none of the children wouldn't want to keep those memories 😑
Kids can only take so much don't what stuff I got four kids and rip up photos as they never know Ed. Anyone but made a book and my older kids that know will get old photos of my grannyxwe need to get rid of things now I put things into charity shops xnanapolly Scotland ⭐🙏🌻
Most children have copies of all the photos. Back in the day we would make doubles and triples of pictures to share with grandparents, cousins, parents etc

Nah. They are free of their bodies, no more pain, no more suffering. They are probably at peace with loves ones and not giving a second thought about a bunch of stuff they no longer need anyway, let alone worrying about who is or isn't looking through it.

It's always so sad to see this homes left to decay. If the family doesn't want these items why don't they let a charity come take the furniture. These items could help so many people.
Also- American probate is a nightmare- but I am pretty sure UK is even worse. Then, there's the taxes- much harder to navigate and deal with both legal issues in UK than here in US- which aren't ez- but even more costly & time consuming there! I also find the personal effects heartbreaking- but so thankful that Adam & crew are as respectful and decent as they are!❤
This is a 'wow' house for sure! Cannot believe the children or family didn't go in and take out all those wonderful items. I have an actress friend find that is probably in one of more of the Star Tracks magazines. Those stamps; my goodness!! Thank you, Adam, for taking us along!! Oh, the spot on the sofa is from where the lady's body released fluid. That happens.
@tamzcountrylife They obviously never knew how old stamps can be worth an awful lot of money. When one of my uncles passed away in 2005 one of his daughters asked me if I wanted his stamp collection. I had seen his collection many times and it was impressive, part of me wanted to say to her "Your dad's stamp collection is worth a lot of money". Instead I just said to her " Thank you Janet i will come round tomorrow evening to collect them".
This bungalow is now up for sale on Rightmove. It’s been emptied and tidied up, the leaking roof had been boarded up etc. Obviously it was in probate after the owner died, rather than abandoned. Will be a lovely home for someone I’m sure. It has loads of potential.

For all we know, the children could all live abroad or something & (assuming they passed in early 2020) it would have been a very difficult time to sort things out.
Yes having a family does not mean you will be of any importance my grandma said to me your children will be there for you when you need them lucky those when it's true
As I'm getting on in age, I find this so sad. That none of the children took the time to go through and take the sentimental items. Or like others have said, given it to charity.
Maybe someone did pick up what they could and had to fly back home. You’d need a truck and multiple trips to get all of that then need a place for it all. But you’re right- charity would be good.
Maybe there were no remaining family members, if she was found dead in the house, no one was looking after her, except maybe neighbors, the house may be stuck in probate, maybe there was no will.

What a beautiful bungalow, reminds me very much of my Aunts bungalow,she is 91 & lives there on her own too. 4 years is a short time Adam for that much decay to set in. It looked like a very well kept home. That lady had great taste. So so sad. I hope this bungalow doesn't get trashed. I can't imagine this lady would ever have thought she would die alone & her home would be left abandoned like this. It use to be a family home, should be again. Thanks Adam. ❤❤❤😢

Thanks Adam for showing this beautiful house, my condolences to the family for the lady who passed away in her house. I feel sad that she's gone, I don't know why the family cleaned up the house and organized the family pictures. It's a shame, I lost my mom and I cleaned up her house but the house was in good condition.
Maybe she hasn’t got any family left. It certainly doesn’t look like any family member has been in and cleaned or organised anything! More that someone has got in and ransacked the place looking for easy money - showed some jewellery boxes empty.

What a find Adam, very emotional seeing all the he family memories and personal possessions. Can just see the couple enjoying the house. Very into sailing and animals. Saw a few Scottish things, thistle, Billy Connolly dvd!! Maybe one was Scottish. It takes me back to things my gran had in her house. Very 70s and 80s but the few modern touches. 9:49 - I believe the kitty is called a “tuxedo cat” (the black & white), but I’m not sure if there’s another proper name for them. Calico kitties are the black/brown/orange/tan mix and the colors are blended in a pattern almost. I love cats so I had to share 😊

18:50 You don't need to travel the world to build up a big stamp collection Adam. I've been collecting stamps since I was 13 (50+years).
That's true but he may not know anyone who does that and just assumed they traveled. Both are possible.

Yet again a great video, sad but still educational and very informative, I now not only have my grandchildren watching with me but my neices nephews and my Sons and daughters have all subscribed! 9:49 - I believe the kitty is called a “tuxedo cat” (the black & white), but I’m not sure if there’s another proper name for them. Calico kitties are the black/brown/orange/tan mix and the colors are blended in a pattern almost. I love cats so I had to share 😊
