We camped near Bishops Castle every summer with our kids when they were young and it was terrifying letting them walk up there! Kinda fun to see Jim Bishop ranting and raving against the government when we were there. Very loud and vocal :) Glad you showcased one of the very unique free Colorado outings.
Same thing I went to back in the 50's in Ruidoso, New Mexico called the mystery spot. Balls rolled upholl, chairs stayed on the wall. Walked down but really uphill. Stuff like that. It was cool.
I stopped and saw “The Thing” on a cross country road trip 30 years ago. They’ve really upgraded that place since then! It looks significantly nicer than my memory of it.
This was one of my favorite video of yours! We have a road in Indiana called Gravity Hill. If you put your car in neutral, it'll actually climb uphill. One of those optical illusion + gravity things. Really cool, though.
I'm so happy you rolled through Colorado! I love my home state and love seeing it from someone else's perspective. I couldn't get to the top because I'm deathly afraid of heights. Awesome to see!
Great video. Next time you come through new mexico try stop at tinkertown right outside albuquerque and then you can drive up to the crest and hike to kwanis cabin for awesome views. Definitely worth it. Safe travels.
I've driven by the catsup tower a million times Ryan I can't believe you were in Collinsville I guess you can be anywhere at any time! Stop at Fitz's Root Beer on your next trip through St Louis and visit downtown, maybe try to camp lol. And keep your eye out for Ski The Lemon-Orange Soda. It should be available from St Louis to Chattanooga
Hey Ryan that "water tower" you pointed out behind the toxic waste mound in Weldon Spring was actually NOT a water tower but, in fact a Doppler Radar. The dome on top protects the satellite dish inside that scans the weather. I live here and its not often when I see UA-camrs actually visiting the toxic radioactive mound. The National Weather Service office for St. Louis is right down the road from that site. Great video.
I work in stl but live in illinois. I had no idea this thing existed. I’ll have to go check it out sometime. I know there’s some radioactive land in north stl county still. Wild.
If you're ever close you should stop by Lone Pine, ca. Beautiful camping in desert in the Alabama hills at base of Mt whitney and visit the film museum. You won't be disappointed. Beautiful sunset and the museum is all props and stuff they used in movies gilded there like star trek, tremors, western and all
Many years ago my husband and I were on a road trip when we started seeing signs for "the thing" many manufacturers miles later we finally pulled up to it, quite weird and to this day I have my grandchildren wanting to go in our motorhome to go see " the thing" lol.....classic, ty Ryan 😂
Great views and times Ryan! Really wondering if you could do a… maybe tutorial, on how your setup has evolved or changed through the years. Also maybe going into more detail of how you have everything set up. Like the hotspot and such. Really looking into this life, but dont want to go completely off grid. Internet and games would be cool. Was always turned off by how hard it seemingly is to set up some good internet/wifi on the road.
I hope you add weird roadside attractions to your videos on a regular basis. BTW, if you ever get to Nebraska, go to Carhenge. It is a replica of Stonehenge made of old cars.
My recommendations are The City Museum in St. Louis, MO, Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend, IA, and Porter Sculpture Park near Montrose, SD (creepy!). Safe travels!
This was awesome almost a documentary transitions very cinematic and comical plus you kept the movie lady even though you did some nerve-wracking things like the inexplicable thing and it's creepy creature statues as well as climbing that rickety Castle yeah I was on the edge of my seat well done
First off on your way back Ohio has a bunch of fun stuff. Ok I live in Ohio. 2nd if going through southern Wisconsin, Need to stop at " Corn Palace". It's free
I’ve never been to Bishops Castle, but..my husband took his girlfriend he’d been messing around with. I finally found his behind out, to bad he didn’t slip and fall. Lol.
IN OHIO WE HAVE "CORNHENGE". EVERYONE THINKS THE WORLDS LARGEST BASKET IS THE COOLEST THING EVER, BUT I'M A LITTLE WEIRD SO I LIKE THE "TROLL HOLE" MUESEUM OR THE WORLDS LARGEST DRUM STICKS.
Looks like a lot of fun stopping at those places along the way. I love the new river bridge in West Virginia. Been there numerous times on my way to Pennsylvania.
That transition at 5:00 was THE cleanest transition ever. 100/10 all day every day
i'm so glad someone else noticed and commented i'm saying bro that was CLEAN
Same I was like wowww haha
14:08 had me ROLLING though
Had to rewind 10 seconds to make sure from how silky smooth it was

Omg I can’t believe The Thing is still suckering people in! All those road signs caught us back in 1979.
Each video I watch gets better and better. Thank you for all the beautiful shots.

Passed by the mystery hole on a really snowy day coming from Charleston to Mount Nebo, WV. Had no idea what it was, wish I stopped!
@@DJxAzMaH not worth it. Been deemed too hazardous now.
@@dominictorimino5064 I've never visited even and now latest news it's been deemed too hazardous for humans without proper PPE.
That edit at the 5:02 mark was cool af!!!

Agree! Great museum and Alabama Hills are amazing. Would to see him drive out that way, so much to see.
Never seen Ryan terrified. It was both terrifying and hilarious to watch! Nice going, Ryan!

Fantastic video, Ryan! Keep ‘em coming🥰
Your last few videos have been very cool and different. I like your new style of content.
I wasn't even the one up there and I was nervous looking at the scaffolding. You are a trooper.
That whole stretch of road in Lucas, KS seemed abandoned. Like horror movie creepy vibes. 😮
The Thing has been there a while...we saw it in 1984.
No one gonna talk about the sick transitions
My recommendations are The City Museum in St. Louis, MO, Grotto of the Redemption in West Bend, IA, and Porter Sculpture Park near Montrose, SD (creepy!). Safe travels!
You really worked out on this video. Good job.
You should make a stop at Cahokia Heights In Illinois

That castle was in 1320 videos
This was awesome almost a documentary transitions very cinematic and comical plus you kept the movie lady even though you did some nerve-wracking things like the inexplicable thing and it's creepy creature statues as well as climbing that rickety Castle yeah I was on the edge of my seat well done

I’ve never been to Bishops Castle, but..my husband took his girlfriend he’d been messing around with. I finally found his behind out, to bad he didn’t slip and fall. Lol.
that falling camera transition was the best one yet!
Theres a stonehedge on the WA/OR border too.
Ketchup on a hot dog? Oh Ryan, and to think we had such big plans for you. All ruined now.
Stopping at a place in West Virginia named “anything hole” sounds absolutely terrifying
Sick video Ryan! I’m liking the new artistic touches you have been adding to your videos! 👍
Your transitions are getting better! Definitely feels like you and your Chanel are evolving!! Also 😂 your voice was super shaky up there.
IN OHIO WE HAVE "CORNHENGE". EVERYONE THINKS THE WORLDS LARGEST BASKET IS THE COOLEST THING EVER, BUT I'M A LITTLE WEIRD SO I LIKE THE "TROLL HOLE" MUESEUM OR THE WORLDS LARGEST DRUM STICKS.
The video editing is top notch!
Coming home from school and seeing Ryan uploading always makes my Day❤
Who cares
Bruh, soo glad you did a tour of the thing and glad I never gave into my urge to visit it in my travels
Great video. Love your humor.
We have near me in Chester WV the world’s largest Tea Pot. Shame you have past it buy maybe next time your through these parts.
Looks like a lot of fun stopping at those places along the way. I love the new river bridge in West Virginia. Been there numerous times on my way to Pennsylvania.
