Hello, Aaron! Great review! Also, I hope you get your hands on the Peak Design Outdoor Backpack 25L soon. I would love to hear your opinions on this bag. Cheers!
You know, I wish they would make a lightweight, compact gym bag without a laptop compartment and without an admin panel. I know that many busy professionals like to carry everything in one bag in the morning, but I never take my laptop to the gym and keep a separate bag for work.
Nah, on the key leash, I cut them out in most cases unless its a perfect execution/location. They are just in the way mostly. Well designed bags always have a good easily accessed pocket where your key set can hang out, no need to to tie them down. I like the Kong! a bit too military for me but still very cool.
I never use the key leash on any kind of bag (backpack or sling). On the ones where it's not removable, I actually cut it off, cause it's only in the way. Being 6'5" and our locks always being below the door handle, I can never reach comfortably with the keys attached to a leash; and I don't wanna faff around taking them off/putting them on the leash day in day out. I already use an Orbitkey key organiser that requires some amount of fumbling to get to the desired key, no need to do it with the leash too.
The dividers kind of look like a solution in search of a problem, even after looking at some proposed loadouts on their website. 25cm height for the larger compartment is pretty limiting for shoes, and is too short for my water bottle (Nalgene Silo). And why strap a lifting belt to the outside when you could have otherwise just put it inside the bag (to make sure everyone around you knows you go to the gym perhaps?). 100% with you that they should have been a separate purchase!
thx for the vid. this backpack is quite heavy. New Osprey Daylite 38 l backback 35 l < 1kg review. when? please Planning a 7 locations SE Asia in 24 days roundtrip with BKK Airways Hand Baggage restrictions...
For gym use purposes, with the lack of a separate shoe compartment, I can see how the dividers would come in handy. Better make sure you throw in those luggage deodorizer balls or treat it with a sprinkle of baking soda every once in a while. Aaron needs to leave gym gear at the office for "gym bag," reviews! 🙃
ha I don't own any gym gear, I just go with headphones and water and whatever I'm wearing, but maybe we should invest in some gym gear for the reviews 💪
U. G. L. Y. and it looks cheap. My GORUCK gym bag is soooooo much better, and its duffel shape is a better form factor to carry what I need as a powerlifter.
🔥 Check out my bag on Kickstarter! 👉🏼 go.nomadsnation.com/fyro-t22
I love the look, it looks like a cute Cube 😍
very cube-y lol
That bag is a perfect travel bag also. I know what to get now.
good call!
Hey Aaron! Excellente review as always, do you think this backpack would be good for rucking? Thanks
thanks so much! as someone who's never rucked I can't say for sure, but it could be a good affordable solution vs GORUCK

there's probably a big market for this

A bit military yes, but cool bags
I’d love to purchase that magnetic internal organiser separately
🧐
You can't be almost never wrong by saying "It's Nylon or Polyester" 😂

we'll add that Osprey bag to our wish list 💪
I like the pockets hidden in the back, but I wouldn't replace my 5.11 Rush 12 with this bag.

For the record, I know that King Kong makes duffels. And they’re ugly AF, too.
to each their own, I think it will speak to the gym/tactical community
