Hey this one looks cool. I like how that top access looks, I’ve come to see clamshell isn’t always the best for all uses. Some colors and fabrics work better with some shapes, and this one works.

Great review! After watching this, I wonder if this is probably best used as a dedicated gym bag, rather than an EDC with gym flourishes (even if it’s pitched that way). The main compartment opening isn’t ideal for a lot of little items, but seems perfectly fine if you’re just stuffing in a change of clothes, some resistance bands, whatever; and the places where they’ve compromised don’t seem like as big a deal if you’re just using this for the gym, with the exception of the lack of shoe pocket ventilation. (Yeah, it’s got a laptop sleeve, but it seems like all bags over 12L these days have to have a laptop solution if they want to be taken seriously, and hey, maybe there are some hardcore Ivan Drago types who need to record real-time data mid-workout or something.)
But I kinda dig it for this reason - while there’s convenience in being able to have one bag that can take you to work and then straight to the gym, I can also see the appeal in having a more work-focused EDC, but then you come home, set that down, and pick up this bag to head to the gym, keeping all that gross gym stuff out of your EDC and dedicating this bag completely to that. And this is an easier proposition at a lower price point. Won’t be the thing for everyone, but if you live right next to your gym, or do your hardcore working out on the weekends, having one bag that only ever carries sweaty gym stuff seems appealing. (Though I’m the kind of nerd who likes to have a bunch of bags dedicated to more specific purposes rather than one or two that can do it all.)

love kingkong apparel for the lifting belt feature, but dunno why they left the ventilation holes out😢

I don't know why, but this bag just strikes me as...cheap. I feel like for what you're getting, the price is outrageous. It makes me think of like a $60 Amazon bag. There are way higher quality and more premium bags for close to the same price, IMO. Great job on the review! Good to see the bag up close.

It’s definitely not the most premium bag, but I would say better than your average Amazon bag. Thanks for watching!

I am new to this channel but just went down a full rabbit hole of your playlist. I love the way you present and the info you provide. I do have a very random question that I would like your personal opinion on since you have had hands on experience with so many bags.
I am looking for the "perfect" bag which may not exist - now to Frankenstein this a little, I would appreciate it if I could provide a list of features I am looking for and you tell me which 1-3 bags you would recommend.
    1. My favorite carry bag is a Timbuk2 Tres Especial - this is my travel bag for travel in general, I mainly use it due to a "hidden compartment", water resistant, 35L that expands to 45L. Not a big fan of the look, but it is the one I go for since when traveling back home, it is sometimes used as a check-in bag when I buy too many things. It is also used for my "grocery bag" when I go shopping on the motorcycle.
    2. Boundary Supply Arctic sling - this is my favor feature/looking bag. It is absolutely beautiful to me, 15L expnds to ~18L and magnets automatically hold it closed when it is not full. The issue, it is 18L max so if riding around with it and I find something I want to buy, odds are, I have to get plastic bag for that item. If this bag was a 35-45 L, I would buy it now.
With this, what I am looking for is a bag that is expandable from ~25/30L - ~45/50L, looks as good as the Boundary Supply, strong enough to be used as a check-in, and preferably water resistant for traveling or when I have to pop by a grocery store on the bike.
Unfortuantely, BSs bag are all too small, barely making the cut to the 45L and I don't want a 45L in full size at all times. I have considered the Aris pack with the stasis sling, which would be the 35+9, but I don't know how I feel about having to carry two bags just in case, and then having to connect one to the other for the extra storage.
Long winded, I apologise, but I am wondering what you would recommend for this case. Thanks in advance!

I recommend making your own bag lol
Otherwise the closest thing I can think of is the Knack Pack Expandable Medium.

@@Nomads.Nation thank you for the quick response! If making my own bag was that easy, I would have about 500 of them :-D Honestly, that doesn't seem like a bad option. Going down your channel rabbit hole I did find the Peak design travel 45L which looks interesting, I may compare the two and see where it goes. Thanks again for the response!

I don’t know that I’m worried about weatherproofing. I think it’s better to have one waterproof bag, cover, and bags that can breathe then trying to waterproof all of my bags or even weather resistant all of my bags and pay more.

Great points and I totally agree! These waterproof bags can get real humid inside lol

I spent a lot of time on your UA-cam channel and watched your videos. Your video quality is very good but your videos have many problems due to which your videos are not ranking on UA-cam and reaching thousands of people because your video's SEO score is zero. Your videos are search engine optimization. If you want I can show you your problems
