Very funny finding an EDC type video with someone willing to say “yeah I don’t like this” or “I got this but I never use it” because every other video is trying to sell stuff haha. Much appreciated
I'm glad you made this video. I think it's important to recognize that the 'pro' pouch doesn't ADD any extra storage compared the 'non-pro' pouch. The only difference here is accessibility: some people like having tools in a specific, proper place (with the trade off being less space efficient). I love my pro pouch, but I also recognize it has limits. For example, I use only about half of the inner pockets because I need to account for the knife and other tool pockets. That half a pocket is more than enough for me to stuff a spare lens cloth and a small first aid kit. I don't usually open this pocket, so it can be stuffed and formed to fit the shape of the tools outside.
I appreciate the fact that you show the repacking of all the stuff you got in the Pro inside the standard version. I was about to buy the pro version because i thought it would have more space and be easier to access the items... 👍
Such a refreshing take on these items. Thank you. I was on the fence about the regular zip pouch and I am now certain that i am making the right choice for me in avoiding the pro. Thank you!!
I absolutely agree and wish I had seen your video before buying one. Now I basically use those outside pockets to hold car fob, pen, small knife and credit card (I have the card version of this pouch) and I have just a couple extra cards on the inside and some cash that I very rarely need to use, but need to have with me. It was really frustrating how unusable those inside pockets become once you load up the outside. If you focus on outside pockets only, you can make it fairly usable and the benefit is I don't need to unzip anything to get to those tools and CC.
I ordered this but only plan on putting small and thin stuff on the outside slots. Like the super thin victorinox alox classic sd, a small skinny pen about 6 or 7mm thick, and the Aerocrafted titanium utility knife. I’m also going to put 4 cards and a few bills inside. I might report back on how i like it 🫡
I really wanted to like these pouches (and others) from Alpaka, they are well made in terms of material, but not in terms of design. As soon as you use one compartment/slot, it makes the other compartments /slots useless. I own 3 of their pouches and i cant say i like them.
I guess I understand your perspective but I feel the whole point of external access is exactly that, accessibility. You need it, there it is. Like an external water bottle pocket in.a bag which some people NEED. I sometimes need it to be external sometimes not and I don't mind to put it inside the bag BUT if I need to, there it is. I guess is the same with this Pro pouch, you can use it as the regular zip pouch but in case you need something to be more accesible you've got the choice. I have the Zip Cardholder, which is exactly the same as the Pro but one of the back slots is sized to fit a credit card which comes in handy in my case for the subway card and such, I never have to reach inside for it and I carry just a pen in the other slot and that's it. the access to the zippered compartments is not that compromised at all. All comes down to user experience I guess.
I think it depends on your edc carry… the bench made griptillian and larger pen fits great on the outside pocket of my pro…. Will definitely not fit inside the smaller non-pro
i wonder, if the tools you want to include (knife, flashlight, etc) had a carry clip, could you clip the tools to the pockets but not slip the tools itself inside? if so, does that help any keeping the zipped pockets more usable?
Yes the way the fabric of the pouch bulk out and distorted the smooth shape of the pouch. Also I guess you could still use the zip pouch pro the exact same way you used the zip pouch, and leave the outer slots unused or insert band-aids in them or something, all is not lost.

Thanks! I think it's important to be real ✊
Yeah, most people only talk about what (products) work for them and try to get you to sell stuff.
Yup, keep it real. Thanks.
It's good to explain what works and what doesn't for some particular real world situations
You saved me from an impulse buy. Thank you.
Glad I could help!

I didn't find that the case personally, it was just way more of a struggle to get things in and out of the Pro with the outside pockets full 😕

Great review. You have stopped me wasting money.

I almost blind buy it, but thanks to your review.
Отличный обзор не от рекламы, а от личного пользования
Thank you for your video, a real review 👍
Glad I watched. Thanks. Great review.
Thanks for not shilling! 👍🏻
Great video

Totally agree!

No problem 👍

loll the salt and pepper packets.
Random I know! 😂
Fully agree
You are absolutely right? I got the same as what you got and they’re don’t worth the money and I wouldn’t buy another 😮
because you need to put flat everyday things in it))) this is for minimalists)
I love the zip pouch and been using it daily, thankfully I have no use for the pro. The crumple looks ugly when the outer slots are used.
The crumple? You mean the outline of the tools.
Yes the way the fabric of the pouch bulk out and distorted the smooth shape of the pouch. Also I guess you could still use the zip pouch pro the exact same way you used the zip pouch, and leave the outer slots unused or insert band-aids in them or something, all is not lost.
Yeah, I try to use the flattest tools I have. The orange zip pouch is more stiff than the other materials, it's vx25 I believe.
Very Cool- Now you can loose all your $hit at one tine. Good thinking
Pa pa pa pa pa pa pa pouchie till I die
You're funny 😂
@Eightball69 do u wanna be my boyfriend or no
😂😂😂
Hi.. Can you keep the cards on the side zip or they cannot fit?
Hi. You can, but again the design of the zip isn't very good, it's the same thing you have to insert cards at an angle
@@RollrightKnights Can you recommend some other pouch for keeping 8 cards and a few cash? Thanks for the genuine reply.
@@Criticalthinker5 have a look at the Topo designs pouches. They are pretty simple but work well 👌
You can put bank cards and paper bills folded in half under the end zipper. You can put coins under the side zipper
Have you heard about the Able carry Joey pouch? It is great.@@Criticalthinker5
You compare a black metal thing to an Xpac trendy “wallet” pouch. Comparing apples to penises. Common bro.
Calm down bro.
