I used your link and bought it. I was hesitant to spend the money since I already have several backpacks, but I’m so glad I did. It’s perfect in every way for me. Your reviews helped me to make the right choice. Thank you!
I've been bingewatching your channel for the past few hours. Thanks for the fantastic content Aaron! You're going to make me spend way too much money on too many backpacks though!
Hey Lo! Def reviewing the Aer Fit Pack 3, hopefully live in a few weeks. Make sure to subscribe if you haven't already so you know when the review is live 💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
I have the Aer Duffle Pack 2 and I love the design of the 3 except the reduced volume and the water bottle pockets. I like that the water bottle pocket on the second version can hold a bottle outwards from the back and not compress the contents as much as it appears the third version does. If I had the third version I would probably end up putting my bottle inside the bag to maintain the aesthetic and because I would be worried about it slipping out. Love the video, keep it up!
Great analysis Mitchell, and thanks for the love! I def like both versions of the Duffel, but agree with your points about the reduced volume and the aesthetic.
@@Nomads.Nation Sorry to ask but does the duffel bag 3 keeps the water bottle elastic band to prevent the bottle from falling? I'm struggling between buying the 2 or 3 which I don't really need 2 water bottle holders and prefer the little organization pocket. Though I like the upgraded interior materials.
hmmm nice looking bag and well padded but the volume would worry me... I have the sterkman duffel backpack thing... not as premium as this bag but does have a good level of tech organisation and 30+litres (claims 40l but can't see it) so for me a better balance... and cheaper at £70-90 depending on the deals you can get. also comes with raincover, shoe bag, laundry bag and compression packing cube. as I say not the same quality but... space organisation and extras
@@Nomads.Nation I don't see them as premium but they are a good budget option if its an occasional use... we use it for the kids holiday clothes.., plus our 2 peak duffels for ourselves.. when we go away in the car. ... but the sterkmann duffel is a hybrid... there is also a sterkmann bag that looks very similar to the pakt duffel an the peak design tech pouch as well 🤔... all are cheaper
@@gripperharris Got it, it's a cool-looking brand, and obviously much more budget-friendly. And yeah that tech pouch looks shockingly similar to PD pouch 🤔
Hi Aaron! is there any other alternative for like a bigger backpack gym/office use probably around 25-28L other than the wayfarer? Thanks! awesome review as always!
Cheers! Unfortunately I can’t think of any that size that are very office-friendly. If you don’t need a separate shoe compartment though your options will open significantly
Something I'd like to see is durability tests. I know it can obviously be expensive to rip a bag up or take knives to it, etc. But it would be nice to see how some bags fare against things like knives (since that is a common theft tactic) and or catching on things like fences, etc. Maybe how easy they are to clean once muddy or something as well.
Great recommendation! We did throw the Nomatic Suitcase down a flight of concrete stairs, but maybe it's time to sharpen the knife and reallyyyy test the durability of the backpacks 😏. Thanks for the comment!
Do you think this would be a good fit for college? I love working out which is why I want the shoe compartment but I would also need room for my laptop, iPad, and I could possible use the duffle part for any text books.
Thanks for the reviews! I'm looking for something for my partner, who walks to work (about 20 minutes including hills/stairs) with her sizeable handbag, and a separate lunch bag as well. There must be something stylish that can easily contain a women's handbag so that when she gets to work she can just extract it. Also, for carrying her laptop to and from work at the start and end of the week. The best so far looks like this one, the Duffel Pack 3, in grey.
Hey Anthony thanks for your question - I would say I’m not an expert in stylish womens carry BUT I think this bag check all your boxes. Plus it’s super comfy :)
I am technically looking for a backpack for college/work/workout. I am in med school and will be away from home a lot. This is almost perfect, but I really wanted it to be a duffle in the aspect that I could use shoulder straps. Do you know of a backpack that fits this. Or is this the closest I will get?
This is as close as it will get, unless you get a duffel/backpack fusion, like the Monarc Settra or Boundary Supply Duffel, but they are big. Alternatively you could check out a 3-in-1 like the Black Ember Forge
Great comparison and great video. I haven't tested the new AER Duffel yet. But looking at all of the changes that you mentioned, I have to say that I do prefer the second version. Keep up the great work ;-)
@@Nomads.Nation BTW. I have not forgotten your email. I will reply as soon as I can. Life is a bit crazy at the moment. Thank you very much for your patience.
Thank you for the review! I want to get this backpack (through your link, of course) but I’m concerned about the non-waterproof laptop compartment zippers. Do you think my laptop would get wet if I walked two minutes through a parking lot in moderate-heavy rain?
Thanks for the love Adrienne! Tbh, zippers in general are usually pretty good about keeping water out, but two minutes in a parking lot in moderate-heavy rain might be pushing it... Maybe look into the Modern Dayfarer Backpack? It's also a gym pack with a shoe compartment but the laptop compartment IS waterproof. Either way let me know if you have any questions! -> moderndayfarer.com/products/dayfarer?rfsn=5176511.fc8010e

@Nomads Nation, I purchased the grey AER duffle 2 which I received last week. The duffle color is more like a smoke grey which is cool. AER is selling the duffle 2 for $136 as of last week. Thanks again for your honest review.
