It's insane that Big Show is a seven time world champion in his career and nobody could tell you about any one of them unless they actually looked for it or are a genuine Big Show fan.
I actually remember his ECW run pretty well. I know people HATE it, but all things considered he was having some pretty good hardcore matches in that reign
@@koxame Ditto. And I only remember the Brock one because of the Heyman heel turn. I always thought it odd that even in kayfabe, someone would trade down from Brock to Show.
I remember the one that starts with him taking it off Sheamus and dropping it to Del Rio for two reasons, if nothing else: 1. Up until this point, this was about the best anyone had been able to get out of either carcass. Sheamus would have better matches in the future and Show had better in WCW, but prior to this feud boy were they both rotten in the fed! (Except for the Bossman feud) 2. Face Del Rio, wtf??
I was at the Rebellion with Edge vs Lesnar and Heyman. From what I remember, we went in knowing the title wouldn't change hands BUT by the end, the near falls got a large percentage of us.
I loved Punk and Batista. There was this underlying snarkiness between the two in their matches that was really fun. You could tell they would’ve had a great program with the handcuffs off.
I forgot the CM Punk vs. Batista match, but I also forgot about Edge vs. Triple H at the same show. Now, the Triple-Threat match at Vengeance 2005, I clearly remember. And that's because of it being on the History of the WWE Championship DVD set. Unfortunately, I remember the Survivor Series 2008 championship match.
I’ll always remember Dolph vs Ambrose for the emotional yelling promo Ziggler cut on go home Smackdown where Dolph finished by saying “I’m gonna beat your ass!” Only for Dean to respond with a calm “no, you’re not.”
I’ll only ever remember it for the excitement that followed Ambrose winning the triple threat between former shield brothers, only for disappointment to follow when ziggler was announced as his first ppv opponent. It really got his title reign off to a terrible start and it never did recover from that
@@optimus2008 as much as I love him I always feel Ambrose was getting carried through conventional wrestling matches. No surprise it was Aj styles there
Rey was injured in Chile a day before the show I got tickets for, I couldn't watch him perform, I had to wait another 10 years for Rey to come to Chile again with the WWE
Honorable mentions. Del vs Swagger -WM 29 Rock vs Booker T and Shane McMahon -Unforgiven 2001 Austin vs Angle vs RVD- No Mercy 01 Taker vs HHH- KOTR 02 JBL vs Booker T- Survivor Series 04
I DISTINCTLY remember the Cena vs Jericho vs Christian match. Vengeance 05 is a stacked fucking card. And it felt like it was finally Christians time. He and Cena had been going back and forth all the way back at the Rumble and Cena moving to Raw was iconic. People remember that. I'm calling bullshit. I remember the finish too. Cena had him up for the fu and swung Christians legs into Jericho knocking him out of the ring. Hits the move. 1 2 3. Good match. It's also the final match on the history of the wwe championship DVD. Which I watched so many times it stopped working. I remember this and I'm sure others do too.
7:26 the Only reason i remember this match was the Hilarious backstage segment afterwards with Christian Jericho Tomko and Bishoff all yelling at one another, namely Jericho calling Tomko "Jackass" and "Goat Boy" and asking "Who's he going to get the sound Guy, the hot dig Vendor, THE OLD LADY CLEANING THE TOILETS?!" With Christian and Tomko laughing at the joke.
I never forgot that CM Punk fought Batista because I go back to those matches and remember Punk's WH title reign fondly. I was just starting to watch wrestling and Punk was my guy. And the dynamic between Batista and Punk always interested me a lot. I know the matches were short but I really like the work Punk and Batista did together.
Comically I remember perfectly Christian vs Cena vs Jericho, cause it was among the time i started watching wrestling, and at the time in Italy that segment was broadcasted costantly in one week - Raw short version - Raw long version - Heat - Experience. The italian color commentator at Experience even anticipated what was going to happen "cause you all know by know after all the replicas". I remember that too ahah
I remember Styles Vs Rusev at Extreme Rules just Because that Extreme Rules was the first PPV where none of 10 year old me's favourite wrestlers actually won
No no no, I very distinctly remember Styles vs Rusev for the WWE title, bc it's the ONLY time Rusev was ever given a shot at the title. I was a big Rusev fan, and was hoping that this was a sign of things to come for him to be used better than he had been. This was not to be, but the fact that Rusev had a WWE title shot at all in his career is a well known fact for any Rusev fan. Bret vs Patriot... I don't blame you for putting this one on the list, but this one is somewhat memorable as well. Only bc the Patriot had such a lackluster nothing character, it was an amazement that he even got a title shot in the first place. The Patriot character simply couldn't work without the anti-American Bret Hart sentiment that the story was pushing. So while the Patriot may have been just another run of the mill one-off character, to have his name uttered anywhere near the WWE title, let alone have a shot at it, does deserve a note of recognition.
I remember the Vengeance 2005 triple threat match, because I was at the show haha. Same with No Way Out 2008, I was at that show. I also remembered the Rebellion 2002 match cause I used to check out a VHS copy of the show at the Library back in the day. I remembered the Armageddon 1999 match too cause well I watched like every single PPV from like 1998 to 2007.
Apparently I'll say this here too bc I saw the same photo used for the thumbnail on this video on Facebook as well and I seriously can't be the only person that remembers that match...
@Cultaholic. -- At 10:42, You almost forgot that the main event of Survivor Series 2008 was Returning John Cena fight against Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship.
When you got to Ambrose v Ziggler I thought 'Good choice, I don't remember this match at all!', then I realised it was Summerslam 2016. I was at Summerslam 2016!😂 I remember Balor/Rollins, Brock/Randy, even Enzo/Cass v Jericho/Owens. But that one? Nope!
The patriot was a hella of a hand just was 3 year too late in the wwf. I’ll always stay on the fact that, that stone cold interview showed that dean ambrose/jon moxley truly wasn’t ready for the big time.
I remember being so disappointed with Seth Rollins vs Kane for the WWE title during Kanes dual personality gimmick. I thought the match considering the build was such a letdown
I remember most of these but Punk vs Batista did escape my memory. Punk's 1st title reign was so underwhelming. They didn't even bother having him drop the belt proper and just striped it from him because Randy Orton kicked him in the head.
It's insane that Big Show is a seven time world champion in his career and nobody could tell you about any one of them unless they actually looked for it or are a genuine Big Show fan.
One can only remember when he beat brock for the title and the daniel bryan cash in on show 😂

I remember his first WWF Championship win.
Speak for yourselves! I was at Vengeance 2005 and ABSOLUTELY remember Cena vs Jericho vs Christian
I was at the Rebellion with Edge vs Lesnar and Heyman. From what I remember, we went in knowing the title wouldn't change hands BUT by the end, the near falls got a large percentage of us.
This list made me say, "hey I remember this match" 6 times
Ffr I remember most these
I swear. That month in 1999 when Big Show was WWF champ feels like a dream. Like it never happened. It's weird 😮
I loved Punk and Batista. There was this underlying snarkiness between the two in their matches that was really fun. You could tell they would’ve had a great program with the handcuffs off.

Unfortunately, I remember the Survivor Series 2008 championship match.
CM Punk vs. Batista match was also the last match of the Ruthless Aggression and TV-14 eras respectively
I’ll always remember Dolph vs Ambrose for the emotional yelling promo Ziggler cut on go home Smackdown where Dolph finished by saying “I’m gonna beat your ass!” Only for Dean to respond with a calm “no, you’re not.”

How dare you suggest I don't remember Show vs. Bossman? Bossman dragging Big Show's father's casket is a core childhood memory for me 😅
Yeah but no one remembers them facing for the WWE championship on PPV is why it's included
Rey was injured in Chile a day before the show I got tickets for, I couldn't watch him perform, I had to wait another 10 years for Rey to come to Chile again with the WWE

Austin vs Angle vs RVD- No Mercy 01

JBL vs Booker T- Survivor Series 04
Lesnar/Holly at 04 Rumble is another.
I mean i remember Cena v Christian v Jericho mainly cause people wanted Cena v Christian lol plus it was heavily overshadowed by Batista and Triple H
Honorable mention to John Cena vs. Kurt Angle vs. Shawn Micheals from Taboo Tuesday.
I DISTINCTLY remember the Cena vs Jericho vs Christian match. Vengeance 05 is a stacked fucking card. And it felt like it was finally Christians time. I remember Edge vs Heyman and Lesnar, mainly because I had Rebellion 2002 on DVD
I won’t lie this could be a series!
More than 10 forgotten wwe title matches..so you're spot on 😂🎉
What a great choice for the thumbnail.
That Vengeance match DEFINITELY isn’t forgotten in my mind , I had a DVD of it growing up .. I’ll never forget it .
Pepperidge Farm remembers...
I was just checking the comments to see if anyone had put this.
I actually DO remember that Rebellion match
7:26 the Only reason i remember this match was the Hilarious backstage segment afterwards with Christian Jericho Tomko and Bishoff all yelling at one another, namely Jericho calling Tomko "Jackass" and "Goat Boy" and asking "Who's he going to get the sound Guy, the hot dig Vendor, THE OLD LADY CLEANING THE TOILETS?!" I remembered that they had a program but generally couldn’t remember the actual match or which ppv it was like a suppressed childhood memory 😅
Remember when the thumbnail was Batista vs CM Punk? Good times
It still is (or again I don’t know)
What was it before the switch?
I remember Vengeance 2005. First WWE DVD I bought. And to my knowledge the only mono branded PPV to have both world championships on the line on it
Comically I remember perfectly Christian vs Cena vs Jericho, cause it was among the time i started watching wrestling, and at the time in Italy that segment was broadcasted costantly in one week

I enjoyed the AJ vs Rusev match way more than any of AJ’s defenses against Shinsuke and Samoa Joe during that reign.
I remember the Vengeance 2005 triple threat match, because I was at the show haha. Same with No Way Out 2008, I was at that show.

Kozlov vs HHH was my first ever main event watching WWE... Surprised I struck around lol but the Edge win was a little shocking.
That vengeance show with the triple threat actually sounds like a great show and I plan on watching it.
2005 in general for wwe was great
No one has forgotten triple threat match at Vengeance 05
Apparently I'll say this here too bc I saw the same photo used for the thumbnail on this video on Facebook as well and I seriously can't be the only person that remembers that match...
And look what happened after the AJ/Rusev match at Extreme Rules
@Cultaholic. -- At 10:42, You almost forgot that the main event of Survivor Series 2008 was Returning John Cena fight against Chris Jericho for the World Heavyweight Championship.
CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy vs Edge happened.
Oh my god I can't believe Rusev Day was 6 years ago already
When you got to Ambrose v Ziggler I thought 'Good choice, I don't remember this match at all!', then I realised it was Summerslam 2016. I was at Summerslam 2016!😂 I remember Balor/Rollins, Brock/Randy, even Enzo/Cass v Jericho/Owens. But that one? Nope!
I remember thinking that Ziggler and Ambrose was gonna be the MOTN and I was SEVERLY dissapointed.
"Nobody remembers"?....i remember
Big show literally told Floyd Mayweather "knock me out" oh and he did 😂
The Patriot, where Kurt Angles theme debuted
Ok I've seen Survivor Series 2008 so many times and I still don't even remember that WWE title match
The patriot was a hella of a hand just was 3 year too late in the wwf.

I remember the big show vs big bossman fued but totally forgot it was for the title
3:54 lolol did you expect Punk vs Batista to Main Event?😂🤦🏻
how dare you think we forgot kozlov vs triple h
How can you forget to include Miz vs Jerry Lawler for WWE title most slept on world title defence match
i remembered few of this but most people i think forgotten it

I remember most of these but Punk vs Batista did escape my memory. Punk's 1st title reign was so underwhelming. They didn't even bother having him drop the belt proper and just striped it from him because Randy Orton kicked him in the head.
Those who are fans of STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN give me a hell YEAH!!!
Miss Rumble 2000 is still the greatest female segment in wrestling period.
The title is contradictory because by making a video about it you've showed they are remembered.
I remember AJ Styles vs Rusev, Ambrose v Ziggler and HHH v Kozlov
The curse of having 2 “top” titles affects most of these
Pittsburgh made the list at 9!!!
I genuinely don’t remember AJ Styles vs Rusev and that bothers me for some reason
JOIN US
I have no idea how the Big Show was a successful wrestler
I thought rebellion was a tna ppv ? I didn't know wwf held a ppv with that name too
Please, I remember all of these.
I remember all of them because i got them on DVD
I was at Survivor Series 2008....there is a reason it was voted Worst PPV of the Year
I remember most of these matches 😂
Big Show vs Bossman gotta be 1
Most of these matches are well remembered for being bad or boring, lol
Goldberg vs Drew McIntyre at Royal Rumble 2021
I don't remember most of AJ's second title reign tbh
I really like Noah Darvich hope to see him given the chance
How do you leave off Brock Lesnar vs. Hardcore Holly?!?! & the first one shouldn’t count bc it ended up being a triple threat match!
Not nice to call me “nobody” 😅
Taker vs farooq?
I meqn foloers of the attitude era podcast have an unfair advantage with some of these
Rusev never deserved a World Title Match,
so his inclusion on the list is well deserved.
How do you forget about Rey vs Edge at No Way Out 2008? That’s literally like saying nobody remembers Bret Hart vs Taker at Summerslam 97
Is Brock squashing Cody on the USA Smackdown premiere?
