It only takes 6 qts and use a little oil that drains out to lubricate the O ring. Do not use brake cleaner on the plastic!

Wonder if it's the same for a 2019 Ram 1500 5.7 L? Why start up after only 5 liters?

Hey Therese I think for your year and model it's under the truck. Also your right I don't know why I said 5 when it takes up to 7. You should probably start out with 6 then start it up and let it run for a few minutes then check it,then add till it's full. Thanks for you comments.

Question, will changing to that full synthetic help with that annoying hemi tick? I've been told I need to just upgrade to full synthetic and to add ZMax and it would fix my problems because I've taken it to a number of mechanic shops and they all say mechanically nothing is wrong with the truck. Has 98,000 miles on it and just got it like 4 months ago. Also I was thinking of going with royal purple but I've been suggested Mobil 1 and Amazon basics

Don’t use WD 40 to lubricate the large O-ring, the petroleum distillates in WD-40 will break it down.
