Thank you so much for this video, it saved us lots of money. You are awesome
Thank you Much! that is super helpful!. as a suggestion if you can add the link where to get it it will be better.
WOW, that was really quick & cheap. Im having trouble unscrewing the screw. Tried 2 sizes of Phillips, both slipping.. Shining the flashlight, i can't tell if its a square or hexagon shape. It's a Fridgedaire Electrolux FG HB2869TF3. I'm thinking the Return Spring may have come loose. It just flops. Doesn't catch anymore. I cleaned any sticky off the exterior but, my photos indicate there might be some sticky soda up inside there. Can barely see a Spring in the photo. I couldnt get my head or eyeballs in there, to look, so i used the camera w/Light. Any suggestions?
📢 But don't be smoking 🚬 in that bathroom 🚽 when it's full of those acid fumes ... 💥 !!! 😉
I followed your instructions. They worked like charm. Thank you for sharing the knowledge.
*You dont need the acid - I used a combination of bleach, bit of dish soap and vinegar, worked exactly the same and didnt need the saran wrap or plastic baggie*
Hey LLOOYYDD, what you’re saying is correct if you want to clean your toilet but for major slow flushes that won’t work. I tried all that. The acid cleans out everything and makes the inside of your toilet like new again. The toilet will flush normal again. Thanks for your comment
ACID NOW $10 BUT WORKS GOOD
Works

Theres no reason to take it apart to replace the lever it just pops into place
This just happened to me today. Thank you for your video.
I just replaced the middle piece. The part with teeth. It cost around $ 10. New pulsator is around $ 150. Knock offs are around $ 80. It was a pain to remove and even bigger pain to put the new one in. There are clips on UA-cam on how to do this.
The metal part with teeth at the bottom? If so, could you give me the name of it and video please? The teeth on mine are completely smooth
Where did you buy the replacement dispenser?
My wife told me last night there was a problem with the washer, I checked it out and then saw your video and ordered a new agitator. It will be in Saturday, and it's a 5 minute fix.. Thank God.

Very important things missing or changed. 1. Have mildew house ready. When you pull that, you will see mold, black mold. No kidding. Now is time to clean that area. 2. Changing the actuator paddle, metal top. There is now 4 tabs on the back you have to bend out before swapping. Bend back in after swapping. 3. Inserting the paddle, a small spring is included and necessary, don't lose it. The spring allow the actuator to return to off position after pressing and will fall off if not careful. It goes on the big side. Took me three tries to get it correct. If incorrect water ice keeps running, self explanatory. Good look.
I think the Spring might be my problem. Do you think they can work their way loose? My paddle no longer catches. If just flops & Water, or ice, depending on the setting, continuously dispenses Water/ice. I'm hoping it's an easy fix
@@stettenfarms no spring or wrong side, it does not return correctly. It is small
Was the plastic wrap just to keep the fumes contained?
i don't think he respond , is like 7 years old video & he stopped making videos for 2 years now, i think his channel is gone & forgotten
Yes
Yes, but if you have a window keep open regardless.
Thank you man, it worked great!!! I like the seran wrap covering the toilet. thank you again.
tightening the middle screw is easy but not really effective as it will loosen very quickly if the agitator gears are worn already
It works. This is the best solution you'll ever find. Thanks brother.
2024 still relevant!
My screw broke inside how do I take that piece off
Thank you!!!!
Awesome 😊

THANK YOU SO MUCH! My husband followed your directions and it worked completely. We saved a LOT of money because we had a call in to the plumber and we were able to cancel it.
It's woulDn't, not wunt, and shoulDn't, not shunt. MuriAtic, not muriOtic acid.
Grow up.
Get a life. We are getting information, not judging his grammar.
@@Nefertitidancer Who says we're not judging his grammar? I can get the information and still judge his grammar.
@@redfields5070 Often people who have excellent grammar have their own set of bad qualities. Go ahead, be petty if you want. It defines who you are, unfortunately like the grammar of this person. Sometimes it laziness or their IQ is not as high as someone as wonderful as you. I should not even both responding. You will not care.
@@Nefertitidancer I certainly don't have excellent grammar. At least I didn't call him any names. Because I care I told him something he probably doesn't know. Maybe nobody ever told him. I used to say pilla for pillow, light bub for light bulb and winda for window. I didn't know I was saying those any differently than everyone else until I was corrected by someone. That's the way my family said them, so I didn't know any better. I think that is the case here. What did you do to try to help him?

My agitator bolt Snapped off.
Did you end up replacing it?
@@gannicar3363 no, the machine is 7 years old. Couldnt find anyone else that had this problem. I tried to take the nut off that holds the snapped bolt but I didn’t have a powerful enough impact. I called LG and there wasn’t anyone in my area (of 100,000+ population) that works on these, and possibly the part may not be made anymore. So, Lowes had a sale on new washers, just bought one.
My agitator bolt snapped off too. How did you end up fixing it?
@@amandahughes4399 ordered a new washer from lowes and they took the old one
Thank you!! Awesome explanation!
Someone tell me where to buy this bottle of water and what is its name?
It is muriatic acid. They sell it at swimming pool stores. Very dangerous.
It is a 20% solution of hydrocloric acid. Used to clean mortar off of brick.
Heck of a smart idea. Thank you.
The bolt is 10mm . From experience put some thread lock (Loctite) before tightening. Snug the bolt down using only a 1/4 drive 10mm & ratchet
I found a easier and safer way to get the panel to come out without excessive force. Using a flat thin blade putty knife , start on the lower right side and work the blade in about 1/8'" . it will release the locking tab and the pane will move out slightly. Work around the pane, top right, two on the top edges of the panel. By the time you get to the left side it should almost pop loose. No yanking or straining and the locks aren't damaged. Now you can release the wire harness and work on the panel comfortably. The return spring is tricky, but only fits on one way.
Is it possible that the Return Spring came loose? My dispenser lever? Doesn't catch anymore. Just flops. Water dispenses continuously. Put my camera in there, with light on, took photos. I can see there's a spring in there.
This solution still works., four years later. Finding the part number was a pain. I finally came back to this site and found the p/n in the comments. Samsung is no help. They want you to buy the entire control panel. You have to make sure the spring is properly installed or it will drip water or discharge ice. The spring holds the lever out away from the control switch so the proper installation essential.
Did you replace the entire wheel?
Those muriatic acid can attack your lungs, wear a gas masks. another alternative is just use a metal wire 1/16 to 1/8' dia, bend the end about 90 degree 1" length hook and poke those rim jet will do the same results. or better. use Mirror to look on the location of the jet, poke it with wire.
A kid tried to flush a plastic spoon. The spoon would catch toilet paper and then it would not fully flush. Had to take the toilet out and turn it upside down. In a few days the toilet paper dried out and the spoon and paper fell out. Re-installed the toilet and it worked fine.
Thank you. I just had to tighten my screw. ❤
baking soda will neutralize the acid. dump a box of baking soda into the toilet and let it sit until it stops bubbling then flush many times.
This was so helpful. Thank you so much.
Tried this as a last resort, worked like a charm! Thanks! I agree with the others who recommend wearing goggles when handling strong acid
Thank you so much.
The panel will not budge. Seems to be stuck even though the screw has been removed. Any suggestions?
Mine has 2 screws
Does the muriatic acid do any damage to where its placed or flowing down or into?
I would not use it with a septic system, CLR is almost as good and is septic system safe. If you never worked with muratic acid, it's extremely corrosive. Most commonly used in swimming pools after the pool has just been plastered to lower the alkalinity. Even then it's recommended to be diluted 50-50 with water before adding to the pool. It's going to give off some strong fumes, a face mask will not help, really need a respirator in a confined space. If your on a septic system I would use a quart or two of CRL (2 bottles) as my first choice. Just did the CLR treatment on my toilet and it worked but may take an hour or two longer soak. If your jet in in the bottom of the bowl (like mine), with the CLR after soaking you can use rubber glove and a brush to loosen any remaining scale, that would be very dangerous with the acid. PS. If you have a bottom jet make sure the CLR solution reaches the normal water height in the bowl.
@@johnwalker6121 My husband tried it on our toilet and it worked perfectly, no damage and saved us a lot of money.
Thank You for the video 👍🏽

Use vinegar.
This is an impeller not an agitator
