I cannot help but think where she would have been had her parents not decided to move. This strong, smart, confident, beautiful woman probably would've never reached her true potential had they not. Makes me wonder how many Yalda's are out there right now but have no clue about what they are capable of. A platform to be heard is what they are never given I assume.

Devozpaz She is not the only educated woman but Afghanistan has had and still have millions of educated intellectual females. First the education for woman andmen were deteriorated by Englishmen in 19919when they wanted to colonize the central ASsian countries the russian oppressed from another side the Afghan people were stuck between increasing war pushed by the imperialists to gain politicle interests regardless of thinking about the human loss. this era of war continued indirectly supporting the warlords against the stable governments one after another all were demolished the civil war begun with the support of USA by the under pretext of anti communism freedomfighters then when the stable and moderen government of Dr.Najibulah was toppled down or pushed to surrendere it to UN then UN betrayed Afghans by the mandate of USA and G20 then 12 extremist groups arose and fought eachothers and made Afghanistan graveyard in 1992-1995 then the traditional religious group by the name of Taliban were raised and they had to put stop to each and every aspect ofl life because of the fighting against the 12 groups which re-emerged in the north of Afghanistan by the help of manty naygbouring countries to extract the natural resources and offcource trading of norcotics from the north and south of the country at last when the situation yot harder the international imperialists pre-judged Afghanistan again and stupmpt it a terrorist harboring country then the humans of that country had to flee for its safety the millions of Afghan families fled in reffuge to different countries thats why we Afghans neever got chances to educate our sisters, ours brothers, our children and get progress and live in a peace. now USA and 49 NATO countries support again the old warlords and extremist groups want to bring anarchic democraciy which is impossible without engaging the neutral Afghans educated people. Allah (The one and only Superpower in the earth and here after) bless Afghan sisters, mothers, fathers, brothers and poor country.

as point of me , I think she does n't have that much information about Afghanistan. She preferred to became more Popular among people. Each country has some problem, there are many Universities and people are optimistic about their future. But she never stated those positives point.I don't know why some people does negative action to became famous like her. I am an Afghan too but her manner doesn't much to be a professional journalist. She should shame on it.

It's not the country's fault! It's not Afghanistan, it's people who trade it, wound it, it's the neighboring who don't want to see peace in Afghanistan, specially Pakistan who harbors terrorists on their homeland to kill Afghan and Americans in Afghanistan. The only that cannot escape the war and keeps hurting is the country, the land which has no voice. It's our job as a future generation to bring change, to not let the history repeat. It does not matter if you are woman or man. Educate yourself and do something, any action against what is happening can help and lead to bringing a brighter day. May we believe, may we set goals, and may we take action to bring change.

It is a lamentable fact that all of the passengers were full of dreams and passion for life, but all of those aspirations were burned in fier of missiles and burried under layers of dust just because they were Iranian born in the middle east.

Hazara means thousand in persian and it's not even an ethnic, Hazara when one of them is killed they exaggerate that it is ethnic cleansing.
But if any ethnic has lost most of its population is ethnic Pashtuns, Anerican war past 16yrs have been focused in east and south which is Pashtun areas and even during Soviet invasion General Dostum killed 7000 Pashtuns alone and Hazaras haven't even lost 700 I can even bet on this.
Padt 18yrs Pashtuns have been killed in this war.

anyone could smell pessimism out of this speech,,, I don`t know despite she is originally an Afghan why she is very much against Afghanistan... she repeated many times "If I hadn't`t gone out of Kabul that time my destiny would have been sure like Farkhunda". my dear you were not the only and last woman in Afghanistan, there were women who stayed that time. they never left... they learned, struggled, but stayed. and they are now more developed than you and have a better life than yours...

Yes my dear,,, I don`t know who you are, but I can assure you that if you or anyone else come and visit Afghanistan closely, facts will be uncovered. people are usually eye fooled and deceived by news and media. being an Afghan and living in Afghanistan wants courage and a brave heart!
