If you turn the steering wheel the whole way to the left or right . Depending on which side you start on. It will extend the tie rod out. Which will make it easier to work on so you don't have to reach in so far. Just a tip I learned and would like to pass on. Maybe someone will find it helpful. P
I plan on doing this soon , I LL just put some blue tape around the adjuster instead of counting I think that would be easier for me i would hate to forget nice work man.
I get it that the tie rod end itself is reverse threaded on the passenger side, but for the adjustment screw did you loosen it regular or reverse threaded also? Edit: passenger side tie rod adjustment screw unthreads regular from the inner tie rod, probably opposite on drivers side... A couple of days of soaking in penetrating oil does wonders, also torquing it back and forth until it makes one full turn in either direction.
Lonnie, I bought the Haynes manual on Amazon. Also I found some torque specs on the Sabb wiki, which is very helpful www.saabwiki.info/index.php?title=NG_900/9-3_Torque_Settings
+Justin Bowen Thanks for your reply. I appreciate your taking the time and enjoyed your video. Working on a sway bar end now, which is similar on my Saab 9-3 SE...Thanks again.
Great Video, will be doing this myself soon.
Thanks for posting this, very helpful!
