I just followed your directions for printer set-up. Just want to say thank you for being so thorough.
Move the regular ink to Dixie cups and add the sublimation ink to the Epson bottles. Hippo or Big Boy sublimation inks are best

Which Epson eco tank is best for sublimation? I already have one and someone told me it’s very risky converting the one that I have because it already has ink in it. I can purchase another one just want to make sure it’s compatible with sublimation ink.

I have the 4850 your setting are awesome only problem is my black is overpowering I use printers jack ink any tip to get it less overpowering?
Try using the adobe and the gamma 2.2 without changing the color wheel settings at the bottom and see if that helps?

They are the same in my opinion the 4800 has a fax machine the 4800 has more if you are using it as an actual printer for paperwork and things like that but as far as for sublimation they are the same

If that’s all you have I would use Epson matte

How do I slow down the printing? It has it printing fast but not sure how to change that setting.
Under your print preferences click main options and turn your “biodirectional printing” button off.

Yes polyester only for fabric I would say anything with 50% or more polyester anything that’s says recycled polyester doesn’t last long and also you can look up other sublimation items on Amazon like key chains, cups, etc

I set my heat press at 400 for 45/50 seconds when sublimating tshirts.

I have an ET-4800 and some things print fine, and others the colors are wrong. Specifically, sometimes teal/green comes out as blue. I tried to do some watermelons the other day, and they were all blue.... I could not figure out how to fix it. Thoughts?
This happens depending on the brand ink and paper combo if it’s not printing right I would keep your settings at the standard settings
Somehow I didn't set my up correctly. Can I go back and set it up? It works but with lines in it.
Try doing a power clean and see if that’s helps you can reset printer under maintenance settings
I need help! I purchased the ET4800, set everything up with Hiipoo sublimation ink and printed my first image. The color was brilliant! I set the heat press to 400 degrees for 90 seconds. I pressed the image onto 100% polyester fabric. The image was extremely faint. The ink did not transfer as it should. (not new to sublimation, I had an ET2740 and had no problems until the printer went kaput!). What in the world could be happening?
That is way to high and way too long. Try 400 for 40-60 seconds or 380/385 for 60 seconds. Check out a few of my sublimation videos that also may help.
If I don’t set up step 2 would I still be able to use it from my iPad?
I use this color correction only for sublimation. Anything else I print regular.

What computer are you working from? Try doing a power clean, then reset your printer back to default settings under the MAINTENANCE option on your printer then start the process over.
Also is the color correction for all printers or only this kind of printer?
Should be all it may look different but they should have the same options

How many uses of the ink do you get before you have to buy more ink? I'm thinking of printing custom tumblers.
It took me about a year but it just depends on the amount of projects you make.

New to your channel like the video, I tried converting a new eco tank printer had it two weeks it started leaking the black only I couldn’t even fill the tanks up I had to throw it away Epson would not do anything they said I void the warranty I guess it messed up the ink heads what ever that means

Try going under the main computer settings and going under Bluetooth and devices then choose your printer and see if it can be changed there.
I just bought a second hand epson evotank printer and it had its original inks init. Can I remove it and drains the printer and than put the sublimation ink init?

I would remove the ink tanks and clean them out and then refill with sublimation ink.
I followed all of your steps and i had to print 3 different pages and it is still missing some segments. Do you know how to fix this?
Try doing a power clean. The printer has a power clean option as well.
Hello, what happens if you initially used the ink that came with the printer. Then decide to change it to a sublimation?
I've seen articles that say that is near a waste of time it's so difficult to change back if that helps

I honestly would waste any time doing this haven’t heard anything good about this.
I think you would have to change the heads and the tanks if possible. If not,you use an external tank system meaning you'll have to buy the extra tubes into the machine heads.
Can we use sublimation paper on cotton tshirts?
It will wash out if you don’t use a sublimation barrier before you put your sublimation image on the shirt.
I followed the printer preferences exactly like this but my image did not print mirrored like it should have. And it was nowhere near as vibrant as yours. Any idea why? I'm brand new to this! :(
It’s not as vibrant until you press it on a shirt even hers looked a little dull coming out of the printer
It could be the ink your using Inks differ also there is a mirror image tab right under the bio directional tab under more options
How do you setup borderless printing?? I can NOT solve this issue!

What do you mean by white lines? It’s gonna print a white border around your image. If you want to maximize the size of your photo use the software silhouette studio for your prints. My latest video shows how to do so.
What if I already do filled the dang things with the regular ink. Can you empty the ink already poured into the printer? 😭
Yes, you can use a syringe to remove the ink you don't want, or you can remove the ink tanks as a whole and clean them out.

I have a et4800 using sublimation ink and paper. my prints come out just fine. when using dtf film my prints come out with lines through the image. does anybody know what can be causing this to happen?
From what I have heard not really sure because I’m not on the dtf level yet lol but I have seen people tape their dtf sheet to a plain sheet of paper I have also seen people actually remove the wheels on the inside of the printer to also prevent this from happening

Yes you can remove the ink with a syringe and also remove the ink tanks as well to clean and replace ink with whatever ink you would like.

Could have dumped that epson ink down the drain cleaned and dried then filled bottles with sublimation ink and avoided those syringes
Yes but I also have a epson 2800 that I use so I saved the ink for my second printer but yes if you only have one Eco tank for sublimation and don’t need the ink this would work
@sharenalatrese408 if you use Starcraft ink, they have the epson style bottles to avoid the whole process just a thought
