I have an Epson ET-2850; was so frustrated and stressed trying to follow instructions to clear the clog; waited 24 hours and tried, after a few more prints I finally had success; so glad I stayed with it! Thank you for a very helpful video; couldn't have gotten thru it without you!
I am having this problem now. Hours and hours spent on trying to unclog the blue only. Replaced the maintenance box which led to the cost of resetting the printer and tons of ink and still can’t get the blue clear. Any suggestions? The printer is the ET-2803 and only a few months old.
@@JenniferMakershould I wait for 24 hrs before printing after setting up the printer and for test page should I used use sub 125 paper only to test subliflower
I bought my Epson ET- 2720 printer right before covid -19 struck. I put in the tank colors, and made 2 color tests, and that was 2019, and I haven’t had a chance till now (September 2024) to use my printer. I fear that the ink inside the printer has dried out completely. Not sure what to do next.
Jennifer, you saved me! I thought I would need to get a new Epson. No ink was printing at all! After going through the video, I determined I needed to do a Power Cleaning. It worked! I still had a little banding in the Cyan. However, I let the printer sit for about 15 hours and voila, I'm in business again. Thank you so much for you and your team and the knowledge you share. After this, I have become a member. Your library is incredible. Thank you again.
So I also went from it printing color to not printing anything. NOT one color, it's just blank white paper. Should i print one of each full color? I feel like i should at least do one full color and then do the power clean, if needed?
I bought an Epson 4800 for a regular printer because my HP was getting too expensive. I don't print every day and sometimes I go a week without printing but then I print a lot. This video came out just as I was dreading unclogging my 4800. It was a wonderful step by step process that saved me hours of needless printing and calling it a lot of really bad names and threatening throwing it out the window. THANK YOU JENNIFER FOR THIS AWESOME TUTORIAL!!!!!
Thank you, Jennifer Maker, for your calm and detailed explanation to fix a problem that gives us so much stress. Our ET-2760 decided to stop printing cyan in the middle of a print job today. I had 0 cyan lines in the nozzle check and the purge file was no help. After 3 head cleanings the tiniest bit of a blue line showed up on the nozzle check, so I figured the 4th time was the charm. So happy to report that it was!
So grateful for this in-depth step by step! Thank you so much. My Epson printer has been sitting for months, literally from the first print job, and there was nothing that came close to your attention to detail and explanation. I did get a lot of being talked down to, from self proclaimed ’experts’ about the evils of sublimation ink, but no actual help! So your brilliant video has given me some hope, and the courage to try this. Thank you again.
I just wanted to stop back here and thank you! It took 4 days, but I was able to unclog my Epson 2850. While the purge sheets never showed any color except gray, I performed nozzle checks, print head cleaning, and a total of 2 power cleanings that finally did the trick. Each day after I tried an assortment of actions, I shut the printer off for at least 24 hours. Gradually, the nozzle checks showed a tiny bit of blue (the original missing color), but when I would then do a print head cleaning, the blue would disappear in the next nozzle check. Finally, today I turned the printer on, did a nozzle check and a print head cleaning, and all colors came out perfectly ... plus a big blob of black ink was expelled onto the upper right corner of the paper. I was really worried I was going to need to buy another printer, so thanks again for calmly explaining that unclogging could take a lot of time and patience. An Asurion insurance plan was purchased for this by my brother as a gift, but I figured that any claim would be rejected since I was using Hippoo ink. BTW, the printer sat all winter unused in subzero temps (down to -40F) in my unheated house while I was away, and it started up immediately and worked flawlessly from mid-March to mid-June. I have used it almost every other day since, so who knows why it suddenly decided to clog!
I have the same problem. All my colors do not print. When I do the nozzle test, I got nothing from the colored Inks. I’ve done multiple purge pages and no color were printed. What can I do next?
A big Christmas THANK YOU for your helpful video. The Yellow ink on my ET-3850 had become clogged and your video helped me clear it without needing to use the Power Clean option. After yesterday's Nozzle Check which indicated it was clogged, I just needed to print 5 purge pages, run 3 Print Head Cleanings and Nozzle Checks and I was up and running again. Hallelujah!!!
Thanks so much for your awesome explanation on unclogging printer. My Epson 2750 clogged about a year ago, and after going through the basic cleaning, I gave in and did the power cleaning. That was a mistake because quite a bit of ink leaked out the back of printer. After doing some research on this, I ran across the suggestion of printing out a page of each color, much like your idea to do this. I didn’t feel like the Epson website was very helpful in solving my problem. Thanks so much for your very helpful tips on this. I just found your website and am a bit overwhelmed with all the information/resources/tips you share with us. Thanks so much!
Jennifer you are a legend! I watched several videos and followed them and then your video really stood out. I did the nozzle clean and head clean and unfortunately i had to do the 11min power wash. I went online and got my password from your site and went to your library and ran the file 588 for your PDF files for the Purge Sheets. I waited 12 hours overnight, got up this morning and ran the YELLOW Purge sheet and CMYB Purge Sheets! .......and its FIXED!! Yipee. I was sceptical at first about letting your printer 'rest' as i have never heard of that and this was also my first time to have a problem with our ecotank (we have ET-2820 her in Australia) Our problem was that last week after the kids printed an A4 page of a copy of a photo that the Yellow and Cian were not coming through in colour printing. It was for of all pinky looking. I ended up doing 5 x head cleans and only 1 power wash. It took a 3rd of my ink whilst doing that so now i can see via the process that you dont want to do that very much and it would be much better to run a purge weekly than go through all this again. A big thank you for your expertise.!!!!
Wow lots of people in the comments having issues with the Epson 2720. I am also one of those people. Hoping to try this when I have some extra time because my printer is not printing black at all. I tried so many online methods and nothing worked. Can’t wait to try this, thanks Jennifer! ❤
@@caseydavis1875 Sadly I haven’t tried. Life has been crazy lol. 😂 I’m a student and I have two jobs. I have no time to myself lol. I’ll let you know when I get around to it. Haha 🤣
You, my dear, have saved me a whole lot of trouble. I preach about how well your instructions are in your videos to my husband. But THIS video, has made a huge difference for me. I had all my print lines clogged so badly that only some black was coming through, nothing else. Now here it is day 3, and I have a minor clog in the black line only. But the rest of the colors are perfect. Thank you so much
I worked on this for 5 days and finally did have to do the power cleaning, but it did work and I don't have to research new printers anymore. Epson ET-2840. So thankful for all of Jennifer's videos! Going now to set up my printer email so I don't get clogged again.
I LOVED our Epson ET-2850 when we bought it - it uses very little ink when printing. After having it for a year, the cyan quit working. After watching a few other videos for help, I came across this one! I didn't even know about the Maintenance Box! (now i do!). I replaced the full Maintenance Box and ran a few purge sheets (no luck), then ran a couple of head-cleans and VOILA! Thank you SO much for your help!!
after 2 years ( since my son died) I didnt use my epson 1500 and of course printer heads were a mess. I did have to do power clean 3 times as i didn't want to have to buy a new printer and following your directions it works in time to make all 17 grandkids ornaments. thank you for your videos
Epson F-170 You saved my life! Thank you thank you. I haven't used my printer since about 6-7 months ago. I had a broken leg that took me 3 months this summer to get over. When I used it today, it printed nothing. I found your video and was pleased to follow your instructions, I did a nozzle check, and poof, it worked. I have religiously kept the power on since supposedly that would keep the nozzles from clogging. That sound you here outside is me celebrating!
Oh my goodness thanks. I had a very challenging week last week and to top it off, you guessed it my printer clogged. I searched how to fix it and did eventually do a power clean after a few steps and 12 hour waits. I would have loved to have tried the purge sheets and now I have them as a fabulous resource. Lesson learned. I have something I print weekly and have missed it maybe 2 times this is so helpful. Printing weekly is a must you are so right. 😂
Thank you! After three days of intermittent printer cleaning, on day three I used your purge sheets, more cleaning, and finally the yellow and blue ink started working again!! :)
Thank you SOOOOO much for this video!! My printer stopped printing Cyan mid project even though the tank was over 3/4ths full. I was desperate but followed your steps. Day 1, no change, Day 2 got Cyan back but lost Magenta and Black 🤦🏻♀️. Day 3 I was nearly ready to give up but ran the clean again with slight change and ran it “one last time” and BOOM! BACK TO NORMAL!! Thank you again SO much for this tutorial!!
Thank you so much I had no knowledge about even owning a inkjet printer came across this video my ink wouldn’t even print no color just grey did 2 days of what she suggested and my printer works and now I know about my printer 😊I have the Epson 2850
The 2720 is a work horse. I've had it for over 7 years. Got it before my mom passed. Haven't printed in color for a few weeks so yellow stopped working. Glad I saw this. I've tried everything, including power cleaning, but haven't checked the print since doing it yesterday. I wish I had known about a purge print first. Wish me luck.
I printed out your subliflower and it’s beautiful. My regular printer printed it out beautifully and so did my Epson 2850. So I had to put it on something so I could see the gorgeous colors. Wow! Super impressed!
Thanks Jennifer! It's my dad's printer and when he asked for help there was NO Cyan and NO Magenta. Ooooo... Ok... I really didn't think it would work. But it did! It took 3 days of 3x/day of Print Head Cleaning but back up and running. Thanks so much for the video!!
Thank you so much for this video, I appreciate YOU!!! I have an Epson ET-2850 and the yellow ink was not working at all (the printer is barely 2 years old). I watched your video a couple of times before attempting to clear the clogged color. This was my attempt... after Nozzle check #1, Printer purge file for all four colors #1, Printer purge file yellow only 5x (as you recommended), Nozzle check #2, Printer purge file yellow only 1x after the Nozzle check (#6), Nozzle check #3, Printer purge file yellow only 1x after the Nozzle check (#7), Nozzle check #4, Printer purge file yellow only 1x (8th attempt) and the yellow finally printed. To make sure the yellow was working, I printed a purge file all color (#2) and ALL four colors printed perfectly! I was trying to avoid the Power Cleaning at all cost. Thank you again and I will definitely make it a habit to print the all color printer purge file weekly.
Thank you Jennifer. Took me three purge black sheets to get rid of the clog, and a head clean.I have a Epson F160 sublimation printer ....Love it... Looking forward to joining your advance course :)
Thank you thank you thank you! I had not used my Epson 2800 with sublimation ink in maybe 9-12mo, it was not printing AT ALL. I thought my printer was ruined! After following your easy video/steps Power Head cleaning did the trick. Thank you!!!!
Wow!!! Finally!! I thought I had tried everything, your purge sheets are genius!! THANK YOU sooo much!!! This isn't just for sublimation ink either. My regular ink printer had stopped printing cyan and I thought I had tried everything! This took several prints, but it worked!
Thank you. This was a great process and very timely. My Epson Workforce at work had NO magenta and we were afraid I would have to get a replacement. After trying your prices, I am happy to say that all colors are working just fine. Thank you.
Oh my gosh! Your purge sheets are genius! They make so much sense. I only wish I'd found this video years ago and saved myself some ink. But now I'll be starting with those first if one of my colors isn't working. One print and boom it had cleared the clog. After I wasted ink on three print head cleanings. Not doing that again if I don't have to.
Thank you! Thank you! My blue was completely clogged. I followed all your instructions and had to do a full clean, but I'm back to having fun with sublimation today!
Thank you SO MUCH for this tutorial! For some reason my yellow was not printing, but all other colors were. I don't think I had a clogged line because I changed one setting in my printer settings and all of a sudden the yellow started printing! I am saving this video for future reference because it is SO VERY INFORMATIVE AND HELPFUL!!!! Thank you for taking the time to do this.
Oh my i run cleaning cycles pretty often and never knew about the maintenance box or that it’s been storing ink in there after every time yikes! Thanks for the video!
It worked 🎉🎉🎉🎉 Thank you sooo much! I had a useless printer because cyan was totally blocked so all my printings were pinkish, after about 6-7 cyan purges and 2 head cleanings the cyan is back! I have a functional printer now, thank you soooo much for this video!
THANK YOU JENNIFER.........after following all of your directions for 2 days now..... - I have yellow....I have YELLOW again. Can't thank you enough. I will now figure out the password for my Ecotank printer and add it to my Jennifer Maker Advance Membership .... for future scheduled purge printing. Thank you Thank you Thank you. PHEW..... LOL
and even after following this video on 2 different epson 2720 and 2800, my nozzel checks where still horrible but someone told me to change print settings to high quality and photo paper ink - and omg my prints no longer have lines thru them... what a difference. and now i know i need to get a new maintenance box for my 2720 and i'm close on the 2800 so i ordered them. thank you so much for your video.!!!
Oh thank you so much! I had to go through all of your video! Finally after the last thing to do it worked! I even bought the ink empty tank! I will now make a print every week bc I was big time stressed! But you got me through it so thank you!
Thank you for this very helpful information! I had tried numerous times to unclog my black ink. Printing the purge pages three times did it. Now I will be sure to keep it going with your recommendation.
Thank You Thank You Thank You! Your instructions were easy to follow! Never knew about the maintenance box, which did need to be replaced and my printer did have to go through a power cleaning but I have full color back!
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU Jennifer .. I have the ET 2803. I didn't know it could get clogged. I hadn't used it in about 6 months..yikes.. it took a while but on the 3rd day of trying everything else I had no choice but to do the power cleaning and it WORKED !! I am soo happy 🙂
Thanks Jennifer! I can't wait to try this when I get home. I'm praying this works! I have the Epson 2800 so I can follow your instructions exactly! Definitely downloading your print sheets! I've been using the subliflower to check. What a great color check tool!
This is BY FAR THE BEST video on the topic!!! I watched so many before I found this and everything was so clear and explained BEAUTIFULLY!!! Thank you for your hard work on this!!
Hi my printer is epson 2850 every time I print nothing is being printer on the paper. What is the best possible solution for this ? My ink tank is full.
Hi my printer is epson 2850 every time I print nothing is being printer on the paper. What is the best possible solution for this ? My ink tank is full.
Jennifer, thanks for your help. My problem was just cyan. It was printing out the purge in a pinkish color in the beginning of doing all this. I did a cycle of 3-5 purge and 2 head cleanings. I repeated this cycle, every once in a while mixing up a little differently with maybe 6 purges in a row, with two cleanings, and once I did 3 purges followed by 3 cleanings in row. I also threw in a few purges with all four colors. Probably did these cycles 8-10 times and I figured I would eventually leave it alone and see if the 12-24 hour wait would help because I was still only seeing solid pink. Actually was feeling that I would likely end up needing to do the dreaded power cleaning. Continued on though and FINALLY I saw a few jacked up blue streaks on the upper portion of the color block so I kept going. Eventually after a few more cycles, on of the nozzle checks after doing a cleaning showed cyan with maybe just about 15% breaks in the lines! Kept going and now the ink seems to be completely flowing. There is still one issue... I am still working on it, but as of now I can't seem to completely shake these extremely faint darker blue lines running across the cyan color block. I only see them when printing in standard, but they are not there when using the high setting... on high it looks 100% solid and beautiful. Judging from what I have said, would you say my problem is no longer a clog or air in the lines so doing a 24 hour wait wouldn't really help at this point... and what my issue is now is solely with continuing to clean the print heads? I like the look of high better anyway but would rather not HAVE to print in high for everything. Btw, I do not use sublimation ink whether or not that has anything to do with anything and the files you provided, I just used the standard ink that came with the ET-15000
It seems the issue is related to the print settings rather than a physical clog. Check Print Quality Settings: Ensure that your print quality settings are optimized even when using the standard mode. Sometimes, adjusting the settings within the standard mode can help improve the output. Update Printer Drivers: Make sure your printer drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated drivers can cause print quality issues. Alignment Check: Perform a print head alignment. Misalignment can sometimes cause lines or streaks in prints, especially in lower quality settings. Paper Quality: Ensure you are using the correct type of paper for your printer. Different papers can affect print quality, especially in different print modes. Maintenance: Even though you mentioned not wanting to do more print head cleanings, it might be worth doing one more round of cleaning to ensure everything is in top shape. Since you mentioned that you do not use sublimation ink and are using the standard ink that came with the ET-15000, this should not be a major factor in your issue. However, always ensure that the ink you are using is compatible with your printer. Using the high-quality setting will provide the best results in printing when you need it.
@@JenniferMaker Ok thanks. I think the issue is the quality of paper(just basic copy paper I'm using during testing) when combined with the standard setting. Results rage from good to great looking when using a combination of either of the matte paper options with high setting.Even when I choose one of the matte options with standard it comes out without banding. If I continue to use regular printer paper(not matte), but choose one of the matte options in the dropdown list and also choose matte paper option on the actual printer settings, is there any negative effect on the printer heads or is it just that the printer is dumping more ink out onto the page and it doesn't really mater if you are lying to the printer that it is using matte paper? Also, I have heard that updating the Epson can cause issues with performance and third party products. It might just be with updating the actual firmware though, not if you only update the drivers if you are even allowed to do those separately when updating. Not even sure if the 3rd party thing effect Ecotank owners unless for some reason you wanted to replace the tanks and they have chips. Do you know anything about issues when updating, especially for the ET-15000?
Sublimation can be pretty fun to see the projects come together, but it is truly heart breaking to deal with a clog. I let my printer sit for months and every time I kick my self in the but. Thank you for reminding me to print weekly
@@JenniferMaker Yes after letting my printer rest for 24 hours. and cleaning the nozzles one more time and using you subliflower, the colors finally broke through. I also placed a timer on my phone to remind me. I thought my printer was over. Thank you, 🥰
Excellent video - super helpful! Thank you so much for sharing your PDFs and being so thorough. Really appreciate it. I was able to get my printer working again with a power clean :)
Great video thankyou, im going to invest in a new Epson eco tank 2860 tomorrow for my printing venture, I’ve heard the only bad thing about them is blocked heads, this vid has given me enough confidence to know I can unclog it with ease 👍🏻👍🏻🙂
Great video. Thank you. You know way more than the Epson technical support. Seriously. Questions, please. So you have one purge sheet with all four colors for when all the test lines are not good. However, wouldn't it be better even in such a case to use just one color sheet at a time? I am thinking that maybe there would be more force coming through the particular color tube and hence higher chances of clearing it as opposed to four of them going at the same time with lesser force? How much is the printer's life shortened by doing the head cleanings or power cleanings? And what will happen eventually? The printer will not turn on? Will printing the test page with the lines once a week be good enough to "exercise" the printer or does it need more color to print out? Thank you so much and I am looking forward to your response.
Thank you so much for watching! To answer your questions - Yes, using a single-color purge sheet could potentially push more ink through a clogged nozzle of that color, since the printer is concentrating on that one tube. This can be a good approach if one specific color is having issues. But if all colors show issues, an all-color purge sheet can be effective, as it keeps the ink flowing through each line. Head cleanings and power cleanings do add some wear to the printer, but how much they shorten the printer’s life depends on the model and frequency. Generally, printers are designed to handle these maintenance cycles to some extent, so occasional cleanings shouldn’t cause noticeable damage. Over time, however, excessive cleanings may contribute to print head wear or clogging, but it usually doesn’t prevent the printer from turning on-just affects print quality. Printing a simple test page with lines once a week can definitely help “exercise” the printer, but occasionally printing a page with more solid colors can also help. This uses a bit more ink, but it’s beneficial for keeping all colors flowing and reducing the chance of clogs. 😊🌻
@@JenniferMaker Thank you so much Jennifer for getting back to me 😊 I have done 6 printer head cleanings (over two days). 3 yesterday, followed by the power cleanse. I printed the test page today and unfortunately no improvement. I have yellow and cyan missing completely at this point. I watched your video yesterday ( after I did all the cleanings) and I printed the purge pages for cyan and yellow ( 5 each) but no improvement. They were both pinkish. Is there anything else I can do at this point? I think that the only option left is going in there physically and use a syringe with air or a solution or hot water. In the past, the cleanings have helped me. I do not know why I seem to have issues this time. You mentioned that doing too many cleanings (head or power cleanings) can wear out the print head. What would the symptoms be? Is it possible that it happened to my printer? You also said that the cleanings can themselves cause clogs? Why would it be so? There is so much I do not understand about printers LOL. I have an Epson ET 2760. Magenta and black seem to be OK however when I printed the black purge page, I noticed slight lines spaced out evenly at about 1 cm running through the page crosswise. What does that mean? Thank you so much!
soooooo helpful...but i did have to do a power clean...it appears my ink pad id full (UGH) how do I replacec ? and where do i get one? many thank and happy holidays
I was unable to use my Epson Ecotank 2760 for over a year due to family health issues. I tried several times to get it to print but nothing. After watching these steps and using the files from Jennifer, I decided to try it again. On day 1 and 2, I was getting blank pages. Today (day 3) I was able to get all colors printing with the exception of cyan. This color is not printing anything. I am going to try for a day 4 tomorrow since waiting 24 hours seemed to help with the other colors. Thanks Jennifer!
I remembered seeing a mention of this tutorial in an email I got from you, but went ahead and did all the wrong steps before watching it (*sigh). My ET-8550 automatically does head cleaning, and power cleanings if you say the lines are not right in the head nozzle check. Luckily it was only once for both before I watched your video. My printer has six colors, and the only one left with a problem is grey. I Googled purge files and found a grey one but it looks like it is using other colors to create it and not improving that line at all. Do you know if there is any way I can target that ink line specifically? I'm excited for Avance! I got on the waiting list as soon as I heard about it. Thanks for all you do, Jennifer! 🥰
I've had more issues with the Epson eco refill printer than regular ink jet. I'm so tempted to going back to the that and dealing with the high ink cost.
Thank you, I tried the clean head twice and nozzle check, then again the next day, and to my great, great surprise, I started to see a noticeable improvement with the nozzle check, and then printed the "purge" page successfully, and did NOT have to use the "power head clean !"
It is different. A regular black ink cartridge uses pigment based ink, and is typically used to print black and white text. A photo black ink cartridge is designed specifically for photo printing. It uses a dye based ink, which helps produce more defined shades of black when printing a photo.
I had to do a power cleaning, wait over 24hrs, then unplug, then do a print head check, then 3 more print head cleaings and finally got unclogged. I am so thankful it is finally unclogged. I had gone about 2 months ( somehow) without printing, I will not let that happen again.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I had left both my printer sitting for too long and it was not printing cyan on one and the black on the other at all now they are both back working after many cycles of purging, nozzle cleaning and head cleaning.
Epson 2800 - the first nozzle check showed that I was missing all the cyan as well as a few magenta segments. I tried printing the purge files and nothing changed so I did the head cleaning 3 times and the nozzle check after the 3rd one was perfect. Thank goodness!! Hopefully I didn't fill up the maintenance box too much. I'm definitely going to set up a weekly email to the printer with all the colors! Thanks for the help!
On day 2 waiting the 24 hours. Wish me luck! I need this nozzle to unclog. Lots of back to school projects to complete. Thank you so much for the Purge sheets!!
I really enjoyed your tutorial and hopefully it will solve my printing issue...I basically print photos for a sketching/drawing class I'm doing...just need the basics...Funky colors add to Creativity 😅...my One and Only ET2850.
Very helpful video, thank you very much 🤩 I'm off to try your purge sheets now and great tip about printing every week in colour (I've not been doing that and get frequent clogs). Fingers crossed your tips will solve my issues lol 😅💖
Thanks for the Tutorial, I have an Epson 2800. Ive printed 5 purge sheets for black, but they are printing out blue. Any thoughts why; or something I'm doing wrong?
If your Epson 2800 is printing blue purge sheets even when selecting black, it likely indicates a clogged print head nozzle specifically related to the cyan ink channel, causing a mix of cyan and black ink to print out as blue; try running a "head cleaning" cycle from your printer settings to attempt to clear the clog.
Thank you SO much! I was about to lose all hope, and did have to end up resorting to a Power Clean, but that finally fixed my clogged ink! You mention printing once a week at least to keep it unclogged, but I wasn't sure if you mean to print a purge sheet once a week, or just run a nozzle check once a week. Can you please clarify that part? Thank you!!!
To keep your printer unclogged, it's recommended to print at least one sheet with all of your ink colors each week. This can be a simple one-page sheet that includes all four colors of ink. This practice helps keep the ink flowing and prevents clogs. You can set a reminder to print weekly, or you can use an auto print service if you prefer something more automated. Running a nozzle check is part of the troubleshooting process if you encounter clogs, but for regular maintenance, printing a sheet with all colors is the way to go.
This video was really helpful. Thank you, I managed to fix my printer with just the purge files. However, I noticed that printouts are a little bluish. So, I guess the job is not completely done.
I have an Epson ET-2850; was so frustrated and stressed trying to follow instructions to clear the clog; waited 24 hours and tried, after a few more prints I finally had success; so glad I stayed with it! Thank you for a very helpful video; couldn't have gotten thru it without you!
Great to hear!
I am having this problem now. Hours and hours spent on trying to unclog the blue only. Replaced the maintenance box which led to the cost of resetting the printer and tons of ink and still can’t get the blue clear. Any suggestions? The printer is the ET-2803 and only a few months old.

Glad it was helpful!🥰
So grateful for this in-depth step by step! Thank you so much. My Epson printer has been sitting for months, literally from the first print job, and there was nothing that came close to your attention to detail and explanation. I did get a lot of being talked down to, from self proclaimed ’experts’ about the evils of sublimation ink, but no actual help! So your brilliant video has given me some hope, and the courage to try this. Thank you again.
I'm happy to help🥰
@@JenniferMaker thank you so much!
I'm so glad you got it unclogged! 🥰
I have the same problem. All my colors do not print. When I do the nozzle test, I got nothing from the colored Inks. I’ve done multiple purge pages and no color were printed. What can I do next?
My yellow prints pink after several purge sheets at nozzle cleanings
Thanks for making the purge sheets. I've used FAR too much ink doing print head cleanings!
Oh I So Need To Watch This. I Have Been Searching the internet for answers and got NOWHERE !!!! I'm Super Stoked
I hope you find it helpful!❤️
You are so welcome! Thanks for the tip!
Yes, Epson's technical support is pretty much useless.
Yay, I'm so happy this helped you!❤
Wow lots of people in the comments having issues with the Epson 2720. I am also one of those people. Hoping to try this when I have some extra time because my printer is not printing black at all. I tried so many online methods and nothing worked. Can’t wait to try this, thanks Jennifer! ❤
You are so welcome!
Did it work
@@caseydavis1875 Sadly I haven’t tried.
Thank you so much
Glad it was helpful!
Much appreciated! I fixed my Epson 2780 Ecotank today following your tutorial. So relieved! Thank you, so much.
Glad it helped!
Wow! what a great and thorough teacher you are!
I worked on this for 5 days and finally did have to do the power cleaning, but it did work and I don't have to research new printers anymore. Epson ET-2840. So thankful for all of Jennifer's videos! Going now to set up my printer email so I don't get clogged again.
Excellent!
You are so welcome!
after 2 years ( since my son died) I didnt use my epson 1500 and of course printer heads were a mess. I did have to do power clean 3 times as i didn't want to have to buy a new printer and following your directions it works in time to make all 17 grandkids ornaments. thank you for your videos
So sorry for your loss.
Yay!!!
Thanks for your recommendations. I almost cry thinking that my other option was to buy another printer. I fix my printer !!! 🙌🏼🥰
Glad I could help!
Jennifer, I can always count on you to solve these pesky problems! Thank you for keeping my business flowing and growing!!
❤️ ❤️
Thank you! After three days of intermittent printer cleaning, on day three I used your purge sheets, more cleaning, and finally the yellow and blue ink started working again!! :)
Great to hear!
Yay! I'm so glad it worked for you!
Thank you so much I had no knowledge about even owning a inkjet printer came across this video my ink wouldn’t even print no color just grey did 2 days of what she suggested and my printer works and now I know about my printer 😊I have the Epson 2850
Glad I could help!🥰
The 2720 is a work horse. I've had it for over 7 years. Got it before my mom passed. Haven't printed in color for a few weeks so yellow stopped working. Glad I saw this. I've tried everything, including power cleaning, but haven't checked the print since doing it yesterday. I wish I had known about a purge print first. Wish me luck.
Good luck! You got this!
I printed out your subliflower and it’s beautiful. My regular printer printed it out beautifully and so did my Epson 2850. So I had to put it on something so I could see the gorgeous colors. Wow! Super impressed!
Thank you! That's wonderful!
Oh great, happy to hear it!
Yay! I'm so glad it worked for you!
Thank you Jennifer. Took me three purge black sheets to get rid of the clog, and a head clean.I have a Epson F160 sublimation printer ....Love it... Looking forward to joining your advance course :)
Wonderful!
I wish I had read my emails yesterday! My husband spent a long time yesterday trying to clean up an old Epson to give to our youngest in college.
Thank you thank you thank you! I had not used my Epson 2800 with sublimation ink in maybe 9-12mo, it was not printing AT ALL. I thought my printer was ruined! After following your easy video/steps Power Head cleaning did the trick. Thank you!!!!
Keep trying!
Wow!!! Finally!! I thought I had tried everything, your purge sheets are genius!! THANK YOU sooo much!!! This isn't just for sublimation ink either. My regular ink printer had stopped printing cyan and I thought I had tried everything! This took several prints, but it worked!
I'm so glad to hear that!
Thank you. This was a great process and very timely. My Epson Workforce at work had NO magenta and we were afraid I would have to get a replacement. After trying your prices, I am happy to say that all colors are working just fine. Thank you.
Glad it helped!
I'm glad you find this helpful! ❤️
Thank you! Thank you! My blue was completely clogged. I followed all your instructions and had to do a full clean, but I'm back to having fun with sublimation today!
Glad it helped!
Glad I could help!
Hi @kimglasgow8401, I have the same problem right now. All my colors work except the yellow. Could you please explain what settings you changed?
I am so glad you are showing how to do this
I'm hope you find it helpful🥰
@JenniferMaker oh yes ma'am thank you again. 😊
Oh my i run cleaning cycles pretty often and never knew about the maintenance box or that it’s been storing ink in there after every time yikes! Thanks for the video!
Happy to help!
Glad it helped!
Those print pages are genius! Thank you for the video and the documents. I'll print the forms every week from now on to keep the printer head clean.
Glad to hear that! Thank you!
I have been working on this issue for a while now and I had to do the power cleaning. Thank you so much!
Glad I could help!🥰
THANK YOU JENNIFER.........after following all of your directions for 2 days now..... - I have yellow....I have YELLOW again. Can't thank you enough. I will now figure out the password for my Ecotank printer and add it to my Jennifer Maker Advance Membership .... for future scheduled purge printing. Thank you Thank you Thank you. PHEW..... LOL
Wonderful!
and even after following this video on 2 different epson 2720 and 2800, my nozzel checks where still horrible but someone told me to change print settings to high quality and photo paper ink - and omg my prints no longer have lines thru them... what a difference. and now i know i need to get a new maintenance box for my 2720 and i'm close on the 2800 so i ordered them. thank you so much for your video.!!!
So glad to hear that!
Oh thank you so much! I had to go through all of your video! Finally after the last thing to do it worked! I even bought the ink empty tank! I will now make a print every week bc I was big time stressed! But you got me through it so thank you!
Fantastic!
You have the best video on this subject. It's not just the nicely paced instuction, but it is also your calming demeanor. Normally I
Glad you enjoyed it!
I found you just before taking my printer in for repairs. Your solutions worked, Thank you!!!
Glad I could help!
I like that auto print test weekly option. I'll have to check this out when I get home. Thanks Jennifer!
I'm glad to hear it🥰
Thank you for this very helpful information! I had tried numerous times to unclog my black ink. Printing the purge pages three times did it. Now I will be sure to keep it going with your recommendation.
Wonderful!
Awesome video (as usual) and thank you so much for the purge files, I've been struggling to make my own. I have the ET 2720. Your the best !!
I'm happy to help🥰
Thank You Thank You Thank You! Your instructions were easy to follow! Never knew about the maintenance box, which did need to be replaced and my printer did have to go through a power cleaning but I have full color back!
Great to hear!
That's wonderful!
Thanks Jennifer! I can't wait to try this when I get home. I'm praying this works! I have the Epson 2800 so I can follow your instructions exactly! Definitely downloading your print sheets! I've been using the subliflower to check. What a great color check tool!
Thanks! Have fun!
THANK YOU SO MUCH…POWER CLEANING WORKED AFTER FIRST TRY
Glad it helped!
Jennifer, thank you and I will try that!❤🇺🇸
I finally had to do a power clean...and now the magenta is unclogged..Thanks
for the video...

This is BY FAR THE BEST video on the topic!!! I watched so many before I found this and everything was so clear and explained BEAUTIFULLY!!! Thank you for your hard work on this!!
Glad it was helpful!

I desperately need this video!

Thank you for helping me unclog my Eason printer.
Great to hear!
Thank you for this! My problem was my print settings!
Glad it helped!
You're a LIFESAVER!!!! Thank you SO much for putting this video and the purge sheets together!!
You are so welcome!
Sublimation can be pretty fun to see the projects come together, but it is truly heart breaking to deal with a clog. I let my printer sit for months and every time I kick my self in the but. Thank you for reminding me to print weekly
I certainly hope you find it helpful!
@@JenniferMaker Yes after letting my printer rest for 24 hours. and cleaning the nozzles one more time and using you subliflower, the colors finally broke through. I also placed a timer on my phone to remind me. I thought my printer was over. Thank you, 🥰
Thank you Jennifer. You are a sunshine, what would we do without you?❤
Aww, thank you 😊
It took a power clean to unclog my printer after not using it for one year, but after that one cleaning, it was perfect!
Great to hear!
Thank you. You saved an Epson (mine) from landfill!
Glad I could help!
Thank you so very much for this video! work'n perfectly now!

Great video thankyou, im going to invest in a new Epson eco tank 2860 tomorrow for my printing venture, I’ve heard the only bad thing about them is blocked heads, this vid has given me enough confidence to know I can unclog it with ease 👍🏻👍🏻🙂
Good luck!
Thank you thank you! I’ve been searching for a tutorial about this issue! You’re the best ❤😊
I hope you find it helpful🥰
@@JenniferMaker Thank you so much Jennifer for getting back to me 😊
I have done 6 printer head cleanings (over two days).
Glad to hear that!
Wonderful! I have not had experience with that. You can ask in the group. facebook.com/groups/sublimationmadeeasy
Hi, I have the same printer ET-8550, have you found a way to purge the grey color?
Thank you for your sweet explanation. Calming.
Glad it was helpful!❤️
Banding was solved when i updated my printer drivers. When i first set up my laptop to wireless print, i didn't know to install specific drivers
I've had more issues with the Epson eco refill printer than regular ink jet. I'm so tempted to going back to the that and dealing with the high ink cost.
A real sublimation printer will give you a warranty as the EcoTanks once converted do not.
Thank you so much Jennifer! As usual, this was an awesome video :) I have an ET-2803 and the power cleaning worked! Thanks again!
Glad it helped!
Thank you so much for your tutorial!!!! You are the best !!!!
Thank you and so glad you like it!❤️
Thank you, I tried the clean head twice and nozzle check, then again the next day, and to my great, great surprise, I started to see a noticeable improvement with the nozzle check, and then printed the "purge" page successfully, and did NOT have to use the "power head clean !"
Fantastic!
Hi Jennifer I have a question is photo blk. & blk the same ? if not do you have a photo blk purge file ?
It is different. A regular black ink cartridge uses pigment based ink, and is typically used to print black and white text. A photo black ink cartridge is designed specifically for photo printing. It uses a dye based ink, which helps produce more defined shades of black when printing a photo.
I had to do a power cleaning, wait over 24hrs, then unplug, then do a print head check, then 3 more print head cleaings and finally got unclogged. I am so thankful it is finally unclogged. I had gone about 2 months ( somehow) without printing, I will not let that happen again.
Yay! I am glad you got it back up and running.
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU. I had left both my printer sitting for too long and it was not printing cyan on one and the black on the other at all now they are both back working after many cycles of purging, nozzle cleaning and head cleaning.
Yay! So glad to hear that!
SO HELPFUL! Thank you!
So glad!❤️
Epson 2800 - the first nozzle check showed that I was missing all the cyan as well as a few magenta segments. I tried printing the purge files and nothing changed so I did the head cleaning 3 times and the nozzle check after the 3rd one was perfect. Thank goodness!! Hopefully I didn't fill up the maintenance box too much. I'm definitely going to set up a weekly email to the printer with all the colors! Thanks for the help!
Glad you found it helpful! 🥰
Thank you very much for this video, very helpful.
You are welcome!❤️
Very helpful ❤
Glad it was helpful!
On day 2 waiting the 24 hours. Wish me luck! I need this nozzle to unclog. Lots of back to school projects to complete. Thank you so much for the Purge sheets!!
Good luck!
I really enjoyed your tutorial and hopefully it will solve my printing issue...I basically print photos for a sketching/drawing class I'm doing...just need the basics...Funky colors add to Creativity 😅...my One and Only ET2850.
Great to hear!
Very helpful video, thank you very much 🤩 I'm off to try your purge sheets now and great tip about printing every week in colour (I've not been doing that and get frequent clogs). Fingers crossed your tips will solve my issues lol 😅💖
Glad it was helpful!❤️
