When I did the initial print test mine showed broken lines as well, turns out this is common with sublimation ink. Just complete the setup and then wait overnight and go to settings and run the test again, it will likely print perfect! Something about the ink i guess. I also ran a clean printhead process a couple times before just waiting overnight.
I need to try the Epson for sublimation, I had a Sawgrass and you’re right the ink is absolutely expensive! Also, the Sawgrass didn’t seem so user friendly, and when I had errors it was such a pain to get it working again.. one year I had to cancel like 40 ornament orders at $15 a piece, because my dumb Sawgrass wasn’t working properly.. mind you it was my second Sawgrass printer in hopes the new version was better.. nope! I stoped sublimating after that, but now I’m excited to try the Epson way!! 😃🤗
That's what I heard, that lots of people are starting to have issues with the sawgrass. That is so frustrating when your machine breaks in the middle of busy season! Maybe if you get an epson you'll have more luck 🤞😊
@@notoriouslynch8051 Epson much better as far as being much more cost effective. And honestly, I don’t see much difference at all when it comes to quality so hands down I recommend Epson.

@@SimplySallie I started in embroidery, trust me, sublimation is minor cost compared to start up for embroidery. I went backwards I should have started with sublimation lol =)
Loved ur tutorial on the full set up of printer ( exact 1 I just bought ). It was simple & easy to follow. The sublimation trial was simple as well &, looked amazing! can't wait to get started on my own projects. : )
I have this same printer and I love it! My favorite thing is coffee mugs. Sooo rewarding to see them come out amazing. My second favorite is wine cups!! I use an arc mug press for those too. Cosmos ink for the win🥰

I really looking forward to lern new stuff from you. The best results of sublimation (in a shop I worked) we had with a heat press for textile and a special heat press for cups and tumblers. We did use a heat oven too, but the colors didn´t had that much itensity. oh, by the way...you can wash the textile 1000times and it doesn´t lose any color. AND...you can eavan bleach it after sublimation 😍👌 without loosing colors. You do an AWESOME job!!! Go on 🐱🏍
I have the Sawgrass500. But I want an Epson so I can print bigger size. I love Sublimation! And Cosmos ink is really good ink. I heard nothing but good things about his ink.
Awesome video. Still waiting on my 15000 to be delivered. I was eyeing it for so long and decided to just take the plunge. Am trying to decide between Epson sublimation ink (t49m for their F170 model) and Cosmos inks, but your video is pushing me towards cosmos. I’ve down loaded epson printer drivers deleted Nd downloaded 4 times. I cannot get the ICC profiles on my Mac. All I get is a 3.0. The update is 13.04 from Epson website.

I didn't use there profile either . Seems to be more if you use their advertised paper. I got better colors using another profile but it also seems to vary per printer/computer/printing software. I tested about 7 profiles to see what worked best for me.
I just converted mine last week. It’s been printing fine until today. I tried printing and it keeps saying spoiling. The main tray is fine. Do you know why it’s doing this? I have a Mac.
I was watching the ink tanks when you were printing all the test sheets - is it using alot of ink???? or maybe it just settles once you get it working? It will be interesting to know how fast it goes through ink. Also, do you have to do anything daily to the printer? can you not use it for a week or more and the ink will be okay? I know with the old printers when you converted you had to run it every day to keep ink from drying up. Thank you =)

This video was extremely helpful with my new Epson ET-15000! However I am getting horizontal lines through my first print even though I ran the clean 4x. That was on copier paper. Will they be there with sublimation paper? How do I fix it?😢

It’s best to create presets - to ensure your print speed is set to slow all the other settings such as ICC price are catered for. It’s a pain if you forget to set something!

i can tell you from what ive seen in copious amouts of videos and The Professor Of Silaholics Anonymous said once its converted once but im not sure with this particular printer just go to the professor and tell her i sent you she does lives ofter and answers many questions.
Can this printer do "borderless 13x19"? I currently do this on my wf-7610. I know the et-15000 can do 13x19, but the website says borderless up to 11x17, makes no mention of 13x19 borderless. What do you think?

It can print 13x19, you need to use the rear tray.

Once I used sublimation paper instead of copier paper the horizontal lines weren't there.

Only use the paper with sublimation, not the teflon sheet. It can hold in moisture and cause ghosting and ruin your sheets.
