@scottykilmer on one of your most recent videos you shared about an 09 Honda Accord with communication issues, but ultimately found nothing wrong. If it was the main board going bad, how big a job is that to replace? Can you replace it?
Toyota dealerships still selling above MSRP. They won't negotiate at all.
That's what I'm seeing
No sale
Hate to disagree with you but most Toyota dealers are refusing to negotiate on any of their cars or trucks. Many are slapping thousands of dealer installed options on every vehicle which you are forced to accept.
This is true!
I had a dealer try this and I just went to the next town over to a dealer willing to play ball. I know not everyone has this option, but it worked out for me.
Probably depends on the market, where are you located? I found only one dealer in my area that would sell a GH at MSRP.
The Tacoma is made in Mexico because the 1st 4 letters are taco
That's why they are a hot commodity.
Blue beetle even had the dude call his Tacoma, Taco 😂
It's the mother of all tacos... The Taco Ma
Well....
That makes sense.
For that reason, it's the only US vehicle I can get behind that's made in mehico
So, it's a taco truck then. 😅
Pigeon CEO is great! I know it as Seagull Manager, swoops in, makes a lot of noise, shits on everything, then leaves!
Lol!!!
Try finding a naturally aspirated Toyota on a dealer lot. As fast as they come in, they roll out. No one wants electric.
Nah that’s cap the hybrids are what’s hard to find. I would know cause I looked all over Georgia for the best rav4 deal and the regular ones were selling less than the hybrids which surprised me cause they were cheaper. I got my rav4 with a deal cause it was on the lot for 100 days iirc
@@HaiRune probably because the RAV4 is for different demographic… People that buy RAV4 are looking for a god small suv with great gas mileage. On the other side, people that buy medium/large trucks/suv want the naturally aspirated v6/v8 reliability. That’s the trend I’ve seen ever since they changed the tundra. New tundras/tacomas are collecting dust in the dealerships. That’s what the future holds for the new 4Runner as well. Unless of course they drop the prices really hard.
@@josealeguinea That makes sense honestly. You definitely got the nail on the head for the average RAV4 driver lmao. You’re right about trucks though I usually see v6s and v8s on the road. Their cars like the Camry and Corolla seem to have that preference to the hybrids though
@@josealeguineaagreed… I keep seeing written message left on my windshield if I want to sell… I own a 2013 TT FJ with a stick shift..and it’s in immaculate cond
Won't be a choice of petrol soon.
Scotty , I bought me a brand new Toyota Camry SE last year , with only 5000 miles the rear passenger side window started rattling , took it two times to the dealership for this problem , they said it was the weldings in the door that were improperly made, they fixed that problem , now at almost 13 000 miles I have my back glass and my driver window rattling , made an appointment and took the car to the dealership a few days ago , but I was told that they had too much customers that day and had to come back in a different day , Not happy at all with my Toyota , especially because this car almost costed 34 000 dollars , I wish I could post the last video with the rattling over here , good night. Update : Today 05/09/24 I brought the car to de Dealership , they told me they did some tests but they didn't find nothing strange , and then they were basically telling me that that' s a common thing for the recent Camrys designs , I ' m thinking to bring my car to a different Dealership , I uploaded the video of the rattling over here in my Channel for whoever wants to see it .
🤦 it seems like Toyota are heading down the same path as Honda.... I'm assuming your Camry wasn't made in Japan 🤔
Ok, first $129 is for 2023 bz4x. None are available. The deal for 2024 was not bad either: $159/mo, $1999 down. So, I went to the dealership, none were available. They had only more expensive ones for more money, obviously. Do not forget, that on top of 2k down you also have to pay tax+license+dealer fee etc, which in my case came up to almost 6k. Not a bad deal, ah?
It's for clicks, like I'm sure Toyota is next to giving cars away, like no car maker is.
who can afford a new care with rent gas and food prices going up every day
No one. I changed the name to be more truthful: "The 2022/2023 Disposable Income Destruction Act".

Tesla management style reminds me of AT&T. They tried to find a reason to fire employees every day. I retired the first day I was eligible.
I know times are tough for many people.
A friend had to borrowed money from me to get an oil change that was long overdue on his vehicle.
I gave a young lady some money so she could renew her driver’s license. Poor girl, aged out of foster care and trying to survive.
Same I have a single mom that calls me and asks me to change her oil and filter. Then I don’t hear from her for a few weeks. I then call her and tell her to pay me when she has the money and just come in when she can.
Thanks Scotty ordered a 2025 Toyota Camry SE today in Canada due to countless hours watching your videos while my 87 year mom yelling at me to change the channel screaming this guy talk to fast .
I watch these videos on 2x speed.. 😅
Tacoma here In local dealer $47,000
Made in Mexico price like made in Japan
About an hour north of NYC. I have never seen a charge station for an EV! SCAM NEW DEAL!

Kind of funny, I work at a factory in Kentucky and 80% of the production workers are from south of the border
Don't mention it to your HR folks. They might fire you.
So your saying soon kentucky will be dead and it will be south americans because you chose to hire people not from here in our own country
Do you wonder why? Are White Americans not wanting to work for the wage the factory is paying?
I'm the only person at my job who is American.
😢
Good advice Scotty. Even Consumer Reports says not to buy when the new redesigned model first comes out even for Toyota
Shopped for a Corolla Cross, but the trim I wanted would be $35k-40k OTD. Disappointed to leave Toyota for now, but got a great deal on a new CX-5 and am happy with it.
i got a 2022 corolla cross xle awd for msrp late 2021 its a great little suv, the mazda is made in the same factory and the 30 its the same tng platform with possibly a better transmission. you cant go wrong with eighter one.

I'm more weary of a tesla driving near me than driving next to a semi on the freeway! Their so-called 'self-driving' or 'autopilot' is a sham! I've seen too many tesla's driving the wrong way, or crashing into things while in 'auto-pilot' mode. I'll stick to my 22y/o camry! That thing has saved me so much $$$ in the 3yrs I've had it. I LOVE that old car!
cRAzy that a govt would approve driverless cars...it's bad enuff with 2/3 of the adult driving population with mere common sense....and all us experienced drivers know how bad most drivers are...driverless vehicles are even MORE dangerous!!
The problem is not Toyota. The problem is 'Electric car'.
The busy forest is not very good period
The problem is the government trying to force that crap down our throats.
If the electric car makes a comeback, it will be under the positive environment towards the end of Trump's second term.
I would say big SUV is a bigger problem than electric cars
Exactly.
My 2011 Kia Sportage EX awd has 312,000 miles and is still running perfectly, and everything still works! So kick rocks, scotty!
One of your best video's ever!! Thank you Scotty.
I bought a RAV4 hybrid a couple weeks ago for $500 under invoice. Yes, they are finally dealing.
Wow, in Scotty's words $500 under is giving away! Still close to 40K out the door, yep giving away!
I would do that unless they had loaded it with useless dealer options.
@TUTruth agree prices are too high. But it's a huge swing from 9 months ago, when you were lucky to pay MSRP, wait 6 months for delivery, and there were no promotional interest rates.
Hey, Scottie.I just bought a 2017 Toyota Van last Saturday. They sold thirty six cars in one day
Thank you Sir 😊...
I love our EVs. We have several of them. We play with them in the driveway with the grandkids using remote controls. They're a blast!
Love the laughing animals, so hilarious! 😂 My 74 Monte Carlo’s brake cover came over 20 years later. Cybertruck (SMH) 🤦♂️ Thanks for the video

Smart@@harveyhankerson8359
@@harveyhankerson8359Right on! it's not only more economical, but also more enviromentally responsible to keep an older car well maintained & on the road. JayEmm on wheels posted a 42min. video on why battery ev's are just awful in every way. He addresses the arguments the ev fanboys use to make themselves feel superior. And the way he addresses those arguments is clear, concise, and logical. It's definitely worth checking out. I have an '02 camry with 240k mi., and after some routine mainenance, and fluid changes 3yrs ago when I bought the car, it drives like new again! Plus I only spent $1000 on new fluids, parts, and tires to restore the car mechanically. It's gotten back at least 90% of it's original power output since all the work was done. IDC ithat's it's considered boring or slow, If I can, I'm going to drive that old thing for the rest of my life! It's been such a gem!! I love that old car😆😆 And it's been so cheap to own, operate, and maintain! The oil changes only takes 15mins., and I don't even need a jack to get it done😆😆😆😆 I hope Your F150 makes it to 1,000,000mi. trouble free! Cheers!
Can i get a free Subie?
Don’t they cap your mileage in a lease ? That’s the one thing that’s always made me hate leasing a car and I never have/will.
Generally 12K
Yes...and after 3 years you have nothing to show for it.
Last time I leased a car any mileage over the leased miles were charged at a ridiculous price.
Its not capped u just pay for each mile you go over just best to buy the lease out imo
I wouldn't do anything less than a 15K miles per year lease.
I’d looove to hear your mechanical take on the new Grand Highlander, especially the middle Hybrid XLE and Hybrid Limited…
I’ve only seen a couple and they we’re reviewing the basic ICE XLE or highest of all trims Hybrid Max Platinum… 🤷♀️
Plus some commentary on poor quality material inside for the price compared to regular Highlander and Sienna… Is it true?
Got a 2024 BZ4X on a 24 month one pay lease with 24k miles to use, out the door with tax and license for $3,688. Including one year of free electricity. Love it
Dealer markup is 9k in CA
2017 Kia recalled might start on fire, advised do not park in a garage or beside another vehicle, being fixed today.
I Would say this is about battery operated cars because I just bought a brand new Toyota Toyota highlander XLE nightshade... Every dealership I was at I could not find a hybrid and Dave told me that they have list for the highlander that go out a 1 1/2 years. I lucked out to get one because it was just coming off the truck
I looked everywhere could not find a $126 lease
Bz4x lease in NYC, 119 a month with 4k down
Every time I get a "helluva deal" it's been bad.
Those West Coast BZ4x XLE's went very quickly. The only ones available are coming in from out of state.
Don't forget to include the cost to have a charging station installed at your house. Thats another $6k
Check again, quick search shows $800 to $1,500. A basic 240V can be almost free if it’s already there for a dryer for instance.
A 110V supply will only need an extension cord. With that you can charge 30-35 miles overnight, enough for most.
Got my 2021 toyota corolla le for $25k otd wrote a check. For today's market not bad
........because Toyota dealers have been playing stupid mind games with their Moroney label on the window.
Such as DSRP(Dealer suggested retail price) and or TRSP.
Stupid markup games. One dealer tacked on a $5k market adjustment, plus another $3k for upholstery protection and GPS vehicle locator monitoring. Stopped myself from using certain four letter words and left. Went to Mazda, who loves Toyota defectors. 😂
My NUMMI made, 2010 standard cab, 4x4 Taco manual, was an oil burner. Mexico or Fremont, it's a toss up.
$6 grand for three years is a good deal? I bought my 2011 Impala for $3 grand (all included) and have had it 4.5 years so far. Still runs great.
BUT WHAT ABOUT INSURANCE and OTHERS ,you must include that as well.
The Kia Telluride (Tell 'em you have a Ride)..... "Ya damn Right.... SHAFT! 🤣
I live in San Antonio I pass by the Toyota place and see lots of my dream cars I recently got into a accident with my Corolla s been really devastated hopefully with the way things are going I can get a newer Toyota for my kid and I which one would be the best?

This Channel is the biggest ev bashing channel on you tube
And rightfully so
75% are bashing no one is buying many hate mandates ever EU sales a down
And good for them
Hey, EVs are inferior vehicles, for more money. Thus, the bashing. They're fine if you live in a city, or suburbs, and do only local driving. If you live somewhere where it gets below freezing, they're just not practical, nor are they practical if you take a road trip.
It should be
Scotty, Ive been looking for 4 months for a good used Tundra however in my area they are also way over priced. Are there ANY US trucks brands that have good used trucks? Ones that wont rust away or have a crap lad of mechanical issues??
I leased this and LOVE IT. It's basically the price of a Toyota Yaris that outperforms a BMW X5 😄
How many miles can u use ??
Scotty I totally like my 2022 hybrid plug-in Prius. Problem no spare tire so I have to buy one to keep in the garage. Toyota is getting ready to release a smaller truck soon.
I once worked at a company that makes parts for cars and for some reason when parts would be out of spec they would let them go if they were American auto makers but not for Honda or Toyota.
😮
Make my phone last longer than a few years and I’ll start to think about it. Electric cars don’t hold much water with me either.
"SHOCKING"
Scotty how do you feel about hydrogen combustion engines? Would that be a better alternative than EV?
Makes me wanna tesla swap and old truck but leave to motor in so i can still rev it but mainly when i charge it use an adapter that makes it look like im jump starting it 😂
They don’t have that lease deal in San Antonio.
It's not so much cost, but moving production to Mexico gets the U.S. Federal government off your back. No labor or union problems in Mexico. No health care to administer. In some ways it's amazing there is any auto production anywhere in the U.S.
In 50 years we will be trying to sneak into Mexico

What happens to electric parking brakes when the battery is dead??
Scotty how is the 2024 corolla cross? Thanks
Yeah he needs to talk about that.
The only electric cars I buy are the ones that I run on my hobby race track.
All that has to happen is for the batteries to go dead a ways before you reach you destination. Not like you can pull a gas can out of the trunk
What does it cost to insure it?
Just dumped nine grand on a John Deere lawnmower, 7 acres and the 4 year old Cub Cadet is dead. no time. Prices are going crazy.

Pigeon CEO..
As much as I love my home country and want to see more jobs here, Toyota is in the business of selling automobiles, their goal was never to revitalize the American domestic economy with manufacturing jobs. If Mexico offers Toyota a better bottom line building Tacomas, then the manufacturing goes to Mexico. It’s not rocket science, it’s nothing political, it’s just business.
Scotty, I know about these leases. Tell your viewers they have to read the fine print there is a lot of pros but also negatives. For example, the vehicle must have been returned after three years in the same condition with no damages. Otherwise, they start charging you for every little thing
I was charged a huge fee after my lease was over because I didn't lease a new vehicle. WTF? This was Hyundai, will never deal with them again.
Creator of H,E,S and all life thanks for protecting Scotty Kilmer and all the men like him
It is my understanding that Toyota’s Rav4 Prime (electric version) has more than a one year waitlist.
I, personally, would never lease a vehicle. I just call it an extended rental. If I'm paying thousands of dollars for anything I want to OWN it forever. Heck if I'm spending a $50 I want to own it forever.
You can lease to financing, it usually knocks off a few grands down the road. So not that bad at all.
@@BT-zw2ix still more money than owning. I get it if you want the convenience of a lease but more money is more money.
@@robbay8610On a lease to finance, you can save on the downpayment and test the car beforehands for an extend period
I have leased before. If the price is right, I like a lease.
Depends on the state. Some states have personal property tax and despite leasing (not owning) youre still on the hook. Also most leases have conditions, if you dont lease again, penalty payment. I tried it for awhile, not worth it for me.
Scotty, could you tell us if the 2024 Nissan Versa is a good car? I want to buy a 2025 model in 2030 as a used car since it will be the last vehicle of its class.
But in a lease there's full coverage sooo. Tac on another 300
Toyota doesn't see any value in EVs, they have one just to save face. But having $65k+ Tacomas show where their priorities are.
As always thanks for your interesting relevant videos. When will Toyota produce a Sienna that is Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) ? They are missing the mark... on purpose. They know they have a market for it. Similarly, when will they bring back a bigger volume Prius Prime similar to the V model from 2015? RAV4 Prime is NOT the answer to wanting a bigger Prius Prime. It's too bulky for not that much volume. Toyota is not listening to its customers.
I will hold on to my gas car longer, just in case they come out with something better than E V’s .
I’m not sure why i didn’t start watching Scotty sooner
