Just an FYI to anyone with chin recession that might be watching this: you have more options that just filler or an implant. In fact it might be more cost effective for you in the long run to talk to an oral surgeon about a sliding genioplasty, which can be done under twilight sleep and can not only improve your chin, but your jaw. As you age, repeatedly filling up the chin and jaw will only take you so far
@@coldapricot orthodontics can help to autorotate the lower jaw forward if you have TADS and your practitioner is versed in treating maxillary overgrowth with orthodontics. Not a lot of orthodontists know how to do this and therefore aren’t comfortable with it.
I used to think my round face was the issue with my face, but after taking selfies, I realized that my chin was the issue. The chin seems minor, but it can make the difference between night and day, I think.

When I first went to a plastic surgeon for a nose job, the doctor said I needed a chin implant. I always thought the bump on my nose was the problem. After the surgery, I was thrilled with the results. This was in 1976,. I have been happy with the results for decades.
Was the chin implant procedure painful? Did you get it inserted through the mouth? So there would not be any visible scars right? So glad you are happy with your results!

I can talk but I have to wear my head band to hold the implant in its palce which is a bit unconfortable but if you don't work during that week it's endurable and painless.

Got my chin filler today! I’m feeling like a million bucks! My face looks absolutely beautiful. More beautiful than before. It shows just how important a chin impacts your face
How long the filler will last ? The problem of filler is that you have to keep fill it about once a year which is not very cost effective in my opinion.
I think Rebecca Hall was a perfect example of how increasing chin protrusion won’t always increase attractiveness. I think because she already has a long chin in comparison to her otherwise gentle facial features, that protruding her chin as well makes it much too strong and masculine on her face.
I only asked for tear trough and nasolabial line treatment. But my Doctor added a chin filler. He harmonized my face. With your video, now i realize the impact for having a good chin projection! ❤
Years ago I go to a doctor for a nose job and he sugested a chin implant to complement the balance of my face. I totally agree it's a game changer and love my profile 💜 Also no one ever notices I got it. They just notice my nose job bc ppl don't rlly remember the size of your chin
Me and my sister have similar faces but she has more of a prominent chin and it makes such a difference in her facial harmony. I think because I have a crossbite it made me have a weak chin. I feel like my face looks short and makes my nose look bigger. I've seen people get it done and their nose looks smaller
Yes it can kind of off set the nose if that makes sense because the lower face would be more balanced. It can help with projection and lengthening your chin since you mentioned you found your face to be short.
I too have a problem with my bite and I'm going to fix my jaw with braces and surgery to bite and chew properly. A chin implant won't do a thing for an orthodontic and maxillofacial issue.
Same. We are 5 siblings and I am the only one with a weak chin. Their faces look so much more harmonious. And I only just discovered this I always thought I look odd somehow but could not really pinpoint it. I think I´ll try out the chin filler to see how much of a difference it can make.
I thought I just needed filler on my jawline, but I recently realized my chin had a lot to do with how unhappy I was with my profile. I got chin filler yesterday and I am SO excited to see the final results.
Thanks for sharing your story Haley! Chin filler is instant so most of what you see minus a little swelling should probably be your results, as the lips don’t usually swell as much as the lips. How many syringes did you get?

The women look more feminine, younger, and prettier with the softer chins. Idk why it's a trend for women to have such weirdly strong and manly jaws lately. Let's go back to the soft renaissance jaw lines of whimsy and romance
Thank you for your comment. I don’t think that projecting your chin to the area where it reaches the border of your lower lip would make their face look less feminine I think it looks more balanced. I do think that if the chin projected past this area (The Habsburg Chin or an underbite) then that would be the case where it could make the face look stronger and more masculine.
I’m so sick of this lip filler trend. It looks clownish and silly to me. Naturally big lips look harmonious but there’s something about the filler that just looks so fake, clunky and it doesn’t move right. Petite, delicate lips look really beautiful on a lot of people but thanks to this creepy trend everyone feels the need to conform. Well, not everyone.
I here you! Overdone lips can almost look like mutilation. It’s stiff and sausage like. There are so many women with beautiful small lips, and it’s one thing to enhance what you have and another to go overboard. It is a long running trend for sure. Ashely, I would love to know what you think of my newest video on lip filler 👉. ua-cam.com/video/yFJnRyi_hi4/v-deo.html. I think you’ll find that we share the same philosophy regarding lip filler.
@@NaturalInjector I mean the facial ratio when it comes to beauty. Beauty is how well everything is put together not the individual features. If a Rolls Royce is painted black and you paint a Toyota black, it doesn’t make the Toyota Rolls Royce. @@gingerbreadmangangafarmer2251 Yes i know that. It can enhance someone’s beauty though. That is the point I was making in this video. One feature cannot make someone beautiful, but let’s say you considered a specific person to be “average looking.” If that “average-looking” person had an under-projected chin and you gave them a little more projection to their chin area, it would enhance that “average-looking” person’s beauty.

I used to think that my nose was the problem, but after years of looking at my profile side I realized it was actually my chin!!! I wanna know if it's possible to get chin filler but keeping my natural cleft chin??
That’s a great question! Glad you found the video helpful. I think that if you avoided the center part of your chin where your cleft is that it will be fine. Glad you found the video helpful!
You are amazing Emily. I came across your videos, after months of researching filler options. Your approach and content is demonstrated beautifully! My chin test doesn't reveal chin recession, but I have always had a small chin (which I believe causes my double chin). Thanks so much for such an eye opening video~
I do like how you used the the measurements under the lips on the angle to conclude if a person has chin recession or are in need for chin filler.. I must consult you further on this subject 😊
Is it a good idea to get Botox in the chin if you have filler to reduce the muscle activity and help prolong the filler. I have always hated my small chin protection length and almost bum type rounded chin. As I’m getting older it’s getting worse with age 😫😫😫
And I don’t get why no one ever tried to balance out my features. My goal was and still isn’t giant lips. My goal is to balance out my profile and it still is. I don’t want to lose all of my nose. A nose that sticks out doesn’t bother me when there is enough balance.
So glad you found it helpful. I find this way to be the easiest to assess if someone’s a good candidate for chin filler. Awwwh thanks for your kind words 😌😌
Not sure how I feel about this video, while very informative it’s almost like putting a bandaid on the problem. What is the cause for your chin recession? What can be done to fix it? Coming from personal experience, I’ve had a very nice round face with a squarish defined chin prior to braces. Unfortunately braces don’t fix everything, and a lot of times while many are overwhelmed by their dazzling straight teeth they don’t notice that the face has become worse. It took me about two years to figure out after my braces why I hate taking pictures of myself and why I just don’t look like myself any more even though I have a perfect smile. As I investigated into what happened and looked at my before and after photos that my orthodontist took I came to find out that my chin was recessed after braces came off. I also had X-rays from him which I put side to side and to my horror discovered that my lower jaw was recessed by about a cm if not more, my lower jaw bone was pushed closer to my neck, my jaw has tilted from a more horizontal to a more of a sloping angle, the distance from my nose to lip has also increased, no wonder my face now looked flat and unattractive compared to what I used to look like. You might reason that I had a bad orthodontist, and he’s actually one of the best in town and unfortunately doing many hours of research has led me to find that many people have had similar issues as me after braces if not worse (tmj problems, headaches, back problems, etc and all because of the manipulation of the jaw bones). Knowing what I know now I would either skip the orthodontist all together or would try to find a specialist that is not only concerned about the look of my arches or how perfectly aligned my teeth are, but also knows how to manipulate the teeth with other structures around in mind, teeth are not a separate entity they impact our jaw, which impacts our whole bone structure, which impacts our posture and so on… Not just orthodontists but I wish all doctors when fixing one thing would think about the body as whole as not to make other issues worse which in a domino effect will lead to other issues later on. Also pay attention to the people with nice chins and compare them with people with weak chins. People with great chins naturally have amazing lower jaw line (not counting those who had implants/fillers with a weak jawline remaining). Unfortunately as much as I agree with the fact that nice chins make a more balanced and attractive face I refuse to go along with just a quick fix of an injection. I got to the bottom of my problem and want to fix it once and for all, because frankly a recessed chin usually will become more recessed as you age and I personally want to age gracefully without having to resort to fillers while not addressing the root cause of the problem.
Thanks for your elaborate comment. You have to ask yourself? What is the cause of chin recession. We are all born with different sized jawbones, chins, teeth, bites etc. Correcting for overbites will also usually help chin recession. Teeth are a very important entity and this is why I mentioned it in the video. When I consult with patients for chin filler and suspect an overbite, I usually ask to confirm if they have been told that they have an overbite of if they have had braces or have been told that they can benefit from braces. In those patients who have overbites, I inform them that some of the recession can most likely be helped with having dental work like braces. In most of the cases of the people I treat with chin filler who do have overbites, after confirming with them they tell me that they had braces, and it helped (but they still have some recession after having braces) or they had braces but because they did not wear their retainer their teeth got misaligned again, but perhaps not as bad as before braces. Nevertheless, chin filler can help their recession and I have not had a patient regret treatment nor have I had someone who’s profile was not more balanced after their chin filler treatment. Some ppl just have chins that sit back further, and I can use myself as an example. I have naturally straight teeth and I actually consulted with a dentist before making this video. I asked him if I had an overbite and he said no. So in my case of someone not needing braces but still having chin recession, it’s a great option for me. I don’t even love the word “recession” because it makes it seem like everyone’s chin touch the q-tip and if it doesn’t then you suffer from some “condition.” This is how our industry works though. Because these procedures got FDA approval they had to establish who were good candidates. It’s almost like me saying if someone’s lips are not of a certain size then they have “small lip syndrome” (just using an example). We are all born with different sized jawbones and chins so my question to you is, in the instances where someone does not need braces and their chin and jawline function fine with none of the problems you mentioned were common after having braces, then what would be getting to the root of their problem?
Orthodontic camouflage is the most common way of 'correcting' an overbite and actually makes the underlying problem worse. The only way it can help is if the upper jaw is narrow it can be widened with a bone anchored expander (MSE) this can release the lower jaw forward. This treatment is not very common. The OP has been a victim of a widely used iatrogenic treatment, until your face gets damaged by a medical professional you trusted please don't gaslight this person. I think they know thier own face and don't need your condescending tone about the cause. There is an epidemic of jaw retrusion caused by dogma in the institution of orthodontics, as someone who superficially camouflages thier mistakes I think it's good for you to be aware. In many cases extraction retraction should be classed as GBH.
In terms of chin fillers, what is your preference? Do you prefer to use hyaluronic acid based fillers like Juvederm Voluma or something more dense and crisp such as calcium hydroxyapatite (Radiesse)?
Great question. I prefer the hyaluronic acid fillers only because should it need to be dissolved like in the case of vascular occlusion, it can be dissolved. Radiesse is very good in this area too it’s just that you can’t dissolve it. This is why the HA fillers are much more popular
I have had 1 ml of chin filler injected 3 months ago and i love the results! My face is also more v shaped from the front, which i like. The first few days it did feel “heavy”, but that went away quickly. I am considering a sliding genioplasty, because I’m afraid of the filler migrating if i keep getting it for the rest of my life. What is your opinion on this? I really enjoyed the video, so helpful! 🥰
Wow only 1 syringe and you see good results. That’s great! I’m guessing you had mild recession? I have not heard much on migration in the chin. It’s more of an issue in the lips because the lips are bound by very distinctive borders. Personally I prefer chin filler over any kind of surgery. Even though sliding genioplasty is your own tissue it’s still invasive but it may be a better option if you are very recessed. All depends on the amount of recession as sliding genioplasty can have benefits.
@@NaturalInjector My chin is about 3 mm away from the line now, so I think i did have mild recession. I will probably have 1 ml more injected soon. Do you inject a bit of filler to the labiomental fold sometimes?
Hi Grace, I also recommend hyaluronic acid fillers in the chin. All fillers will attract water, some more, some less. Hyaluronic acid fillers are safer in that they can be dissolved. Right now 2 brands of hyaluronic fillers are FDA approved to be used in the chin: Restylane Defyne and Voluma. However, other hyaluronic acid fillers like Restylane Lyft, Versa or the RH line of fillers can be used, it would just be off label.
Sometimes if you have a slightly recessed chin, it can be difficult to know if you are holding the qtip actually straight or if you actually have recession. A more accurate measure would be to take a pic of your side profile and then use procreate or another editing tool to draw a straight line onto the picture to check for recession.
Yes it is a little difficult to do and assess at the same time. You could certainly take a picture and use an editing tool to draw a straight line down.
@@NaturalInjector Yes that's what I did! At first, doing the qtip method, I thought my chin projected normally but upon redoing it with an editing app I realised I have moderate recession. Thanks for the video, I loved it!
I got cheek implants 20 years ago and I still love them. ❤️ Its all about balance. My chin is slightly prominent but the cheek implants made my chin in proportion to the rest of my face.
I got some chin filler and was impressed with my before and after photos' but I read that after the swelling goas down and the fillers have a chance to settle the result might be less dramatic . That's what I'm afraid of but only got it don yesterday evening so its too early to say .
Where would you put yourself on the chin recession scale? How many syringes did you get injected? I don’t find that the chin swells a lot to where the immediate results are a lot different then when the swelling has resolved (like the lips can).
@@NaturalInjector I'm not good on the technical details but I really trust the Doctor in charge who felt that I could benefit from it but said that it was mild and that I wouldn't need a big dose . @@celestialcircledance yes it’s normal to feel sore to the area. Glad you didn’t bruise as the chin has a higher rate of bruising. If it was under $900 sounds like you had 1 syringe. The great news is that you can always add more if needed. I hope you subscribed and turned on notifications 🛎 😊

Thanks for your comment. “Best” is subjective and it all depends on how much recession you have and what you are willing to go thru to enhance your chin. Not everyone wants to do an invasive surgery.
I so appreciated your use of photoshop to show the recession and protrusion on various faces. @@NaturalInjector just ignore people who have nothing constructive to say. I have some phone calls in and hoping to get something done before my 40th birthday in 29 days :-)
If you change a chin on a face we know, like on Megan markle, off course it will look strange because it isn’t the same face that we already know. Our brains mix this up and thinks: uh no she normally looks different, but I know it is her. So we get confused. Of course we like the one with the bigger chin more (aka her real chin), but it is not sure that it is because of the chin. Some people really do look better with a bigger chin, but after seeing these misleading examples, we all think that is the case for everybody (due to this examples of celebrities who got terribly photoshopped with a smaller chin and then we think: she looks better with a bigger chin, so this must be better for everybody). But you know what? This is not the case. Not all “ideal” shapes, noses, chins and so on suit everybody. Proportions are great, but I know some people who are extremely attractive with a far from ideal nose, chin, eyes or so. So please; look at the person as a whole and don’t get yourself insecure by these measures of perfection
Btw: no hate for this video. She did a GREAT job with this video; very informative. But I wrote this to make people aware of the psychology behind these examples and not to make yourself too insecure. You are beautiful; with or without a big chin ❤️
Thank you for your elaborate comment. This was not done to make anyone feel insecure. Nor was I saying that a larger chin looks better on everyone. With regards to the photoshopped celebs, I was making it a point that if their chin sat further back, that it would effect their profile and oblique view. The same goes for if they have a less projected chin. If someone has chin recession, when we project their chin with filler, most ppl would agree that it enhanced their look. This is absolutely not the case for everyone though. If you already have a projected chin, then it would not really enhance your beauty to project it even more, as having too much chin projection is not ideal. Same goes for someone who has full large lips, making their lips larger would not really enhance their beauty. I hope that you didn’t misunderstand my video thinking that I gave the impression that a larger chin is ideal for everyone. I cherish diversity and I do indeed look at someone’s face as a whole. I don’t think that we should ever have the same noses, eyes, lips, chins, nor do I think that one type of nose would suit everyone. As far as the chin goes, this has to do strictly with projection vs recession. In an individual who has recession, if you project their chin (and we are talking about millimeters here) it really does enhance their look. Also, if you project their chin they are still going to maintain their unique look and it would still look different than someone else’s chin. There are many attractive people who have different noses, chins, eyes etc. It’ is not a sense of having an “ideal” nose, eyes, chin, etc, as faces are so diverse you cannot say that this particular ideal nose for instance, would look great on everyone. It has more to do with looking at the individual as a whole and saying, let’s see what position this persons chin sits in relation to their lower lip. If that particular persons chin sits back a bit and we were to project it more with filler, it really would enhance their profile and oblique view.
@@NaturalInjectorStop selling these ungodly things, profiting off others’ insecurities 😢 Why don’t you teach self love instead? Our ancestors were all beautiful without fillers.
@@sylph99 I don’t see my line of work as ungodly or profiting off of one’s insecurities. When you understand human nature you realize that “the desire to beautify oneself is human nature, when we think we look good we feel better.” To take care of one’s appearance is self-love, as long as it’s done in an ethical way and the patient is mentally healthy. What is wrong with trying to look your best for as long as you can or enhancing your appearance with injectables? Do we tell women not to wear makeup, because that means they don’t love themselves as they are, to never dye or style their hair, or do anything that alters their appearance because that would mean they don’t love themselves?
I just got 1 mL chin filler and I love my nose now. My nose has a small bump near the top, but it doesn't bother me anymore because the whole face looks balanced. I'm only a few days out so I can't speak for longevity and idk whether the swelling will go down anymore. I only wish it were permanent haha.
Thanks for sharing your experience Marina. I feel that if a persons face is balanced and they have a small bump on their nose, it’s doesn’t effect their attraction as much as if their other facial features were not balanced. Just yesterday I was at a party and admiring how beautiful a female acquaintance was. I’ve seen her on other occasions but never noticed that she had a small bump to her nose, which really wasn’t even very noticeable because the rest of her face was so balanced. I’m sure you’ll find that the results are long lasting.
Self love is the answer. Consistent skincare, try the Murad Retinal, try microcurrent, and face yoga. It all costs less and will provide healthier results too. ❤️❤️
Thank you Lara. I plan on eventually coming out with a part II video for the Botox Brow lift in which I will touch on forehead size and how it impacts Botox dosage. Right now I am not aware of different forehead shapes other than variations of foreheads being, short, tall, wide or narrow.
Hi Vanessa. I have not found the filler to move with time. I’ve had chin filler for over a year now with no issues. I usually use Voluma or Restylane Defyne.
@vanessa i feel you! lol i heard the same thing. can you imagine all the chin filler "migrating" lower making it look like you have a bigger "double chin" status lol
i wanted to reduce my chin cuz i always thought it's too long, but i thik my lips are small and that makes it look like that. Maybe lip fillers can add some balance to my face?
Check this video out then which talks about how lip filler, like chin filler can also put your features into more attractive proportions 👉 ua-cam.com/video/yFJnRyi_hi4/v-deo.html
How much of a difference can you get with fillers? I would think it can only correct a mild retrusion. Everything beyond that would need a chin implant or even a genioplasty I suppose.
Hey Emily! Great video, very informative whilst still being scientific and factual. A question - I often hear how chin / jawline fillers last 12-18 months. Obviously on day one of month 19, it doesnt just disappear over night, but what does 12-18 months really mean? will there still be a bit there by month 18, or will it all be gone?
Glad you enjoyed the video. It depends on how many syringes (volume) you got. If you got treated to where your chin pretty much touches the Q-tip, or very close to it, it may last a year or longer. Overall on average, filler in the chin probably lasts around a year. This is only the case for chin filler though not for jawline filler.
I had chin filler done 4 days ago and really loved my look right after the procedure as I had a recession. Now I think i am regretting it. I had 3 juvederm injected and it feels like my chin is pushing up on my lower lip. My resting face has a permanent frown look and when I try smiling, my teeth don't show anymore. Does this go away once it's fully healed? Does it get softer? I miss my smile.
It does get softer with time in general but you should talk to your provider about your smile changes and maybe have them compare your photos to before.

would chin filler improve the look of jawline that slopes downward into the neck slightly? it's been like that since i was able to see my side profile with a cameraphone at 13 (29 now) and it's still there even when i lose weight. i thing i have mild recession based on your chart.
Great question. Chin filler, and jawline filler, can definitely help enhance the look of your whole profile because it makes the distinction more apparent between your lower face and neck. However, this all depends on how much recession someone has. If they are very recessed they may benefit more from a genioplasty or chin implant. If you have mild recession than you most likely would benefit more from filler, as it’s less invasive than surgery. Glad you found the chart helpful!
HI Ms Emily, I've always hated my recessed chin! My bf thinks I'm nuts, but I've literally noticed and hated it since I was a CHILD. That and the filtrum area above my upper lip is TOO BIG, in my opinion lol . I am so self conscious taking selfies from any other angle than one specific angle. I think Kybella is a good option if you have fullness to the area under your chin. You may also wanna look into Coolsculpting in this area as well. I used the Q-tip as you suggested and it seemedd that the Q-tip was slanted out a bit when it touched the chin. Does that mean that the chin is out too far? Is Kybella good for contouring the jaw line a bit when one notices a bit of drooping there and under the chin? Thank you.
Hi Alice I’m not sure how you did the assessment but sometimes it’s difficult to do assess without taking a photo of yourself to ensure the q-tip is positioned vertically. Kybella can be useful for fat under the chin which does not necessarily mean dropping of the skin. Dropping can be form aging.
I have a question: can chin filler reduce the look of chin from masculine to feminine? I want to reduce my chin its too squared but idk if chin filler can do this without surgery
Hi Emily, hope you're well? Just one more question for you based on your experience does filler tend to spread and flatten after some time or leave skin more loose? I can only seem to find immediate result but none how it looks after say 4 months.
Hi Matthew. Filler does soften up with time. Meaning it sits in the skin more firmly when first injected and softens up with time. As far as flatten, I’m not sure of the exact shape it takes on but it does not leave the skin more loose if it goes away. Your skin should go back to normal after it dissolves on it’s own.
How many mil is usually required for moderate retrusion ? Also is there a better type of filler for chin filler to give structure rather than puffiness ?
Voluma is probably your best bet for structure. Check this video out to answer how many syringes will likely be needed 👉 ua-cam.com/video/n6tPEJSaIHg/v-deo.html

@@NaturalInjector Yeah that's what I suspected. Thanks! Best thing I can call is would be a submental crease (formed from some chin ptosis that gets worse upon smiling). Neither patients were overweight. One referred to it as her "bubble chin" I had never seen anyone inject behind the inferior chin before so opted for mentalis btx, then a higher G filler in the chin and mandible to camouflage it from the sides some.
Love this video! I had a few syringes of filler in my lips, and I was like, why does my chin look different. Well I never realized I always had chin recession and the lip filler enhanced it. So I got 2 syringes of chin filler a month ago, and I see such a difference, I’m obsessed! I’m going to try and get 2 more syringes in the next couple months. Amazing video.
Hi Gabby. Yes I can see how enlarging the lips can make chin recession more obvious. Thanks for sharing your story. Where did you feel you were on the scale?
@@NaturalInjector I was definitely a 1 prior, but I had 5 syringes of lip filler in an 8 month period. So I feel in my case, it caused a lot more projection especially. 😅
If you can correct things by doing braces or other orthodontic procedures, especially if they cause functional issues that’s probably the best approach. Then chin filler for more projection if needed. Hope everything goes well and thanks for sharing 👍
I'm wondering what are the risks associated with filler migration and if the shape could change after multiple filler injections over the course of a few years for example.
@@NaturalInjector Yes, for sure it is very common with lip fillers but I've seen cases of other type of fillers which are migrating or lumping together after some period of time. This famous youtuber for example ua-cam.com/video/aJCL3eEsPhc/v-deo.html shows how her eye filler has migrated and lumped. So that's why i was wondering if that could happen with jaw filler. Because what if it moves up and make your face look more bottom heavy. Wouldn't be very nice.
@@v.s.5460 The tear trough area is probably the second most common area that can be overfilled to where people look “cat like.” I am very picky when I do the tear trough and I only fill the area if there is a concavity. Thanks for sending the video I skimmed thru it. I’m not sure if she mentioned how often she was getting under eye filler? Did she mention that? I have not heard anything about migration being a problem in the chin or jawline but let me know if you come across a video.
@@NaturalInjector She says she got the tear trough filler only once, if I understood correctly, but not all the filler dissolved naturally with time and the little one that was left was looking a bit lumpy so that's why she decided to dissolve it.
Also want to add that orthodontics alone, for adults, cannot change the jaw, unfortunately.
@@coldapricot orthodontics can help to autorotate the lower jaw forward if you have TADS and your practitioner is versed in treating maxillary overgrowth with orthodontics. Not a lot of orthodontists know how to do this and therefore aren’t comfortable with it.

I think Rebecca Hall was a perfect example of how increasing chin protrusion won’t always increase attractiveness. I think because she already has a long chin in comparison to her otherwise gentle facial features, that protruding her chin as well makes it much too strong and masculine on her face.

This video is amazing, it’s very helpfull for me, i’ll get my chin and nasal tip filler this week can’t wait to see the result😃

Thanks for your comment. “Best” is subjective and it all depends on how much recession you have and what you are willing to go thru to enhance your chin. Not everyone wants to do an invasive surgery.
Feel so blessed to have been born with a beautiful chin 😊
Great video! Specially about the upkeep. I'd probably get 3 myself!
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Hey I have a doubt. Could i do fillers for my chin, while I'm wearing braces, or should i wait till i remove my braces?
Yesss the Michael b Jordan was on point! You need to send him a dm!
😂 😂 I doubt it would reach him. 👍👍🤗
I so appreciated your use of photoshop to show the recession and protrusion on various faces. I was once a photographer and hated photos of myself because of my chin, I always played with my photos and the difference was uncanny. I have finally convinced my husband to let me play with fillers, so now I'm shopping for an experienced professional to consult with
I’t’s so good to have you say that as a photographer because someone commented that I did a horrible job at photoshop 😆. I’m so glad the video was helpful and happy that you decided to consider fillers. I know I love my chin filler it really enhanced my profile and side views. Feel free to keep us posted!
@@NaturalInjector just ignore people who have nothing constructive to say. I have some phone calls in and hoping to get something done before my 40th birthday in 29 days :-)
@@ashleycalderon2223 I probably should ignore too but it’s hard sometimes. Hoping you get it done before your 40th 🎂!
So many girls look better with smaller chins, it is a very feminine feature.
Great now I need a chin
Guessing you found the video helpful 😆.

@@aiahbogan6449 well I’m sure it can be enhanced with filler.
Incredible information, thank you!
So glad you liked it!

This was such a informative video I would really like to see a video on how the forhead impacts the face and the different shapes
Thank you Lara. I plan on eventually coming out with a part II video for the Botox Brow lift in which I will touch on forehead size and how it impacts Botox dosage. Right now I am not aware of different forehead shapes other than variations of foreheads being, short, tall, wide or narrow.
Hi Emily, just wondering if the filler moves with time, like some lip fillers do? And what product do you use? Thanks
@@NaturalInjector ur chin still looks recessed tho
@@tdob6067 yes but it still enhanced my profile.
I just got chin filler 2 days ago AND I LOVVVE IT! I previously got lip & cheek fillers (which I love) but I wish I started with the chin first!!!
i wanted to reduce my chin cuz i always thought it's too long, but i thik my lips are small and that makes it look like that.
I’ve found that chin filler can really make a nice difference if you have mild, moderate, and perhaps moderate-severe retrusion.
It does get softer with time in general but you should talk to your provider about your smile changes and maybe have them compare your photos to before.
i got my jawline and chin filler this past saturday and definitely see a difference. my face shape changed from oval to heart shaped!
It definitely makes a difference. They say the most loved face shapes are oval and heart for women.
@@NaturalInjector i used to be insecure about my oval face, but then i also heard that, (about it being like the perfect canvas for facial features?) and didnt mind it ever since.!

I really want to get jawline and cheek filler but im so scared after reading some negative reviews that I am considering cancelling my appointment! people say it migrates to other areas of the face, when you get a cold the area swells up, is this true? I really want to get it done but I'm so scared now
@@TheMindfuliving personally, i was freaked out when i first saw myself in the mirror. I looked so different...super transformed face shape. i used to have an oval face and it converted to heart. but after the 2 weeks, all the swelling went down, and i dont look like that anymore. i actually want more jawline. my only thing is that my chin still feels bruised and hurts when i press on it. idk about the cold thing though.
Wow, never I never realised how important the chin is for overall attractiveness. I never understood why so many women drool over Michael B. Jordan.. Now that you added the chin though.... 😍 Same for Angelina Jolie, with other types of chins she is way less beautiful. Amazing!
I’m glad you found the video helpful! Yes I think he would look better with a little more chin projection. He is very handsome though and ha a nice physique. Yes Angelina would not look as balanced with a recessed chin. 🤗
would chin filler improve the look of jawline that slopes downward into the neck slightly? it's been like that since i was able to see my side profile with a cameraphone at 13 (29 now) and it's still there even when i lose weight. i thing i have mild recession based on your chart.
Very informative, thanks!

Or under chin lipo? Thanks for educating us love you! Edit: I have a 2 - Moderate retrusion, at least. In my opinion from doing the q tip thing
I think Kybella is a good option if you have fullness to the area under your chin. You may also wanna look into Coolsculpting in this area as well. I figure if you can resolve it with non-invasive vs invasive (lipo) methods than why not. I’m actually looking for Kybella models for a video. Not sure where you reside? I have a witch chin and it’s my biggest insecurity I would totally prefer to have chin recession instead of the chin I have
Does your chin protrude out and have what you think is too much projection?
my chin is one of my biggest insecurities in my facial aesthethics, I have been told my side profile is hot by females but I still feel like its a bit recessed. what are some negatives you could share about chin filler
I don’t have negatives to share about chin filler besides the risks associated with any filler procedure. The risk of vascular occlusion, or blindness which is very rare in this area. Maybe check this video out 👉 ua-cam.com/video/Emv1TDE957E/v-deo.htmlsi=7uDgNsN1ROUppJQ4
Has Margot Robbie had fillers do you think? Apparently she has the most requested face according to surgeons. I think it’s important people realise that perhaps celebs aren’t as natural as they seem . But yeah Margot looks natural I just can’t tell
It’s possible she did but if she does it looks very natural.

Yes in some instances it can make the chin more heart shaped and class square if you concentrate it to the middle of the chin
@@NaturalInjector Thank you for your reply Emily.

How many mil is usually required for moderate retrusion ? Also is there a better type of filler for chin filler to give structure rather than puffiness ?

Can you also use filler under the chin to fill ths horizontal line behind it that gives a double-chin appearance?
No filler under the chin would just filler, making submental fullness look worse. I’m not sure where this horizontal line you are referring to is.
@@NaturalInjector Yeah that's what I suspected. Thanks!
Best thing I can call is would be a submental crease (formed from some chin ptosis that gets worse upon smiling). Neither patients were overweight. One referred to it as her "bubble chin"
I had never seen anyone inject behind the inferior chin before so opted for mentalis btx, then a higher G filler in the chin and mandible to camouflage it from the sides some.

Would chin fillers be okay if I have platisma bands that shorten my neck by pulling the skin.
Yes you can do chin fillers if you have platysmal bands.
@@NaturalInjector Great, thanks. I'll look into it.
how do you call the opposite situation of chin recession?
Chin prognathism (mandibular prognathism)
Some chin recession is due to teeth problems we must make sure that our jaw line is good too I'm fixing my teeth next step will be chin fillers
If you can correct things by doing braces or other orthodontic procedures, especially if they cause functional issues that’s probably the best approach. Then chin filler for more projection if needed. Hope everything goes well and thanks for sharing 👍
So... I don't have a more polite way to ask, but just curious if you can share what r ur thoughts that you don't do the chin filler yourself?
Hi Ann. I do chin filler. I actually said it in the video. Did you watch the full video?
I'm wondering what are the risks associated with filler migration and if the shape could change after multiple filler injections over the course of a few years for example.
This does not seem to be an issue with the chin. Migration is more of a concern with the lips because the lips are bound by distinctive borders.
