Grass-fed or Organic: Which Is Healthier?

  • If you’re in the grocery store and they don’t have grass-fed organic, only grass-fed or organic, which should you choose? In this video, I’ll let you know.
For more details on this topic, check out the full article on the website: ➡️ drbrg.co/3XChKTc
    US Wellness Meat: grasslandbeef.com/
    Grass-fed vs. Organic:
    Organic
    • If something says its 100% organic, then it’s organic
    • If something just says organic, then it’s 95.99% organic
    • Organic means without pesticides, antibiotics, hormones, or biosolids (sewage sludge)
    Grass-fed
    • There is no legal definition of grass-fed (it needs to be grass-finished)
    • Grain-fed beef is heavy in omega 6 fatty acids, grass-fed is not (omega 6 fatty acids are more inflammatory, omega 3 fatty acids are more anti-inflammatory)
    • Grass-fed beef has CLA, and more vitamin A and vitamin E
Ideally, you want to consume grass-fed grass-finished 100% certified organic. I personally use a company called US Wellness Meats.

They also use the sewage sludge as a low cost fertilizer for produce! This is one of the reasons produce doesn't have the nutrients it should. Our body's take what nutrients are available and pass the rest and that gets used to fertilize our crops.

They are allowed to use some approved ones (but in way less amounts than conventional farming) and never glyphosate. They are also not allowed to use chemical fertilizers. So all in all it's still much better than regular, conventional farming methods. Biodynamic farming is even stricter.

I was kinda laughing a little bit when I first started watching this video...but the bio-solids caught me off guard. I think this is differente in the US than here in Sweden. Grass-fed animals are grassfed here and we often buy the meat directly from the farmer, so we can have a direct comunication with the farmer. And organic is less 'safe' here, we have a label kalled KRAV (demand) wich is much stricter than organic. It's much harder rules for KRAV than for organic.
In the stores we can buy Brasilian 'grassfed' meat, but that's what you are describing here.

    • @ChrisHillASMR
      @ChrisHillASMR 4 роки тому

Organic is a usda standard setup in 1986, there is no grey area. It takes farms 3 years minimum to certify on very specific criteria. Ignorance is not bliss, the source of uncontaminated food is important for people who care. People who dont care dont understand or try to justify their own poisoning.
