Except on his mother's side they have actual relation to the Carolingians, versus some schmuck who by genetic accident shares DNA with Charlemagne.
Tons of Americans and even modern Europeans overblow their relation to historical figures. Fun fact, most of those guys' closest relatives are still alive and considerably wealthy/influential. The worst offenders are Scottish-Americans. They don't realize that in the Scottish clan style of feudalism serfs and knights and such often took the surnames of their lords to identify where they were from or who their overlord was. Surprise surprise, most of the actual Scottish nobility and royalty are still alive today in Scotland or somewhere else in the UK. If you by some chance are actually blood-related to these guys, you're probably the result of an embarrassing party accident. ESPECIALLY if out of the blue for no reason you and your parents ended up in America.

Go a bit zany with it, have like 3 or 4 actors, all solid actors in their current age bracket, each play him at a different period while some intrepid researcher tries to chronicle Lee's life in full after his death, and as he learns about a part in Lee's history we see it reenacted by that actor as Lee. The stuff portrayed would effectively be nuts so go fanciful.

I remember on Facebook when you had 'Top 5' and one of them was "Things you wouldn't want to see at the end of your bed in the middle of the night" and people put down various horror movie demons, ghosts and monsters. One of my choices was Christopher Lee; not only was he Dracula but he also played Count Dooku, Saruman and Scaramanga! Greatest villain in cinema history!!!

There is so much more. He witnessed the last public guillotining in France, he received a permanent injury sword fighting with Errol Flynn, he was a cousin of Ian Flemming, friend of Chuck Norris, and decedent of Charlemagne, he met J.R.R. Tolkien, was close friends with and starred alongside tons of films with Peter Cushing, and Muhammad Ali (a fan) dedicated his fight with Chuck Wepner (the one that Rocky is based on) to him, which Christopher Lee was watching at the Playboy Mansion next to George Foreman (who was very surprised). He really had the most amazing life.

Charles Dance would be a great pick to play Christopher Lee in a biopic! With other possibilities being Sir Anthony Hopkins, Sir Patrick Stewart, or Sir Ian McKellen. But Charles Dance definitely has the best youth resemblance.

00:12 = He did not join the Finnish Army to Fight off the Soviets and he never claimed to do so. He traveled to Finland as a volunteer for Winter War when he was 17 for a fortnight and was kept far away from the battle. Quoted from his autobiography 'Tall, Dark And Gruesome":
"Along with a tew other recent schoolboys who felt neglected by the War Office, I took a journey to Finland. Our idea was that we would rescue the Finns from the Russian invaders. Our surprised hosts affected to be delighted by this callow set of volunteers, and touched that we had paid our own third class fares. They gave us some white uniforms as camouflage in the snow, and took us up front to a perfectly safe area. We never saw any Russians, and went home after a fortnight. It was clear that the tiny Finnish army was doing rather well against the Russian colossus, without our help."
