The greatest generation. As Nick said; "We can never fill your shoes, but we can fill our glasses". I'm going to carry that one with me when I enlist in the ADF.
Matej Vidovic What is the ADF? You are Slovenian right? Austria is next door, and Albania is quite a bit further away; which defence force are you joining?
A shame Christopher Lee died so long before the new movie coming out… It would have been something of a homecoming to have him acting out his old military days up on the big screen.
Anders Frederik Emil Victor Schau Lassen VC, MC & Two Bars (22 September 1920 - 9 April 1945) was a highly decorated Danish soldier who was a recipient of the British Victoria Cross in the Second World War. He was posthumously awarded the United Kingdom's highest gallantry award for his actions on 8 April 1945 at Lake Comacchio in Italy in the final weeks of the Italian Campaign.[1][2]
I actually had heard of this group before I saw this video. A fitting tribute for a great unit. I can't wait for range 15. Maybe you guys could have a character in there like Christopher Lee an old British badass who kicks ass and tacks names.
great video- reminds me of a favorite professor I had in college, he taught 'intro to lit' and various acting courses. he was very fit for his age, about 60 at the time. I learned after his death during WWII he was a member of the OSS.
Nick you and the boys have outdone themselves with this and I hope more will continue. And I too will join you in an old fashioned, to toast these great heroes.
A little tip on the old fashioned. Put your fruit, bitters and simple syrup in the glass first and muddle. Then add ice and bourbon. Then stir. Angels Envy Rye is really good to use. Enjoy.
I just watch "Everything or nothing: The untold sorry of 007" Christopher Lee was on and mentioned that he knew Ian Fleming and that he was a distant cousin. ...WOW.
Quite a few British movie stars fought in WW2. Amongst them, David Niven (The Guns of the Navarone and about 100 others), who left Hollywood to return to the British Army, and who, according to Wikipedia summed up his experiences like this: "I will, however, tell you just one thing about the war, my first story and my last. I was asked by some American friends to search out the grave of their son near Bastogne. I found it where they told me I would, but it was among 27,000 others, and I told myself that here, Niven, were 27,000 reasons why you should keep your mouth shut after the war."

Matej Vidovic Agreed! about all we can do is fill our glasses, cheers!

Background Song is Tchaikovsky 1812 Overture for anyone who is wondering.
Very well done. Excellent video... And that toast at the end was as classy as it gets.
"Showed up, killed Germans, fucked off" something about these words brings a tear of pure badassery to my eyes.

"They didn't give a shit about anything...except for England"
I can relate.
Here's to the old country.
Anders Lassen was actually danish and is remember as one of the Kingdom of Denmark's greatest hero's.

Sir Christopher Lee. Spy. Nazi killer. Actor. Badarse.
He is remembered.
1812 overture in the background, good choice.
"The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare." Leave it to the British to name a brutal fighting unit a classy name. Love that shit.
Yeah. Anders “Andy” Lassen.
I have read about him. Real badass. Greetings from Denmark 🙏🏻

"showed up, killed germans, fucked off".
That works for me.
The force was strong in that one.
Christopher Lee also was a heavy metal rock god in his later years. Charlemagne: Omens of Death is a great album.
Ranger Up making history come alive well done. Make more videos like this.
I just watch "Everything or nothing: The untold sorry of 007"
Christopher Lee was on and mentioned that he knew Ian Fleming and that he was a distant cousin. ...WOW.

Great Video, can you also post that recipe for the old fashion
Excellent drink Sir
Special Operations Executive would've been the far more correct name to use.
PhuckMyLife but the one they used sounds so much better
Who else is here after the movie trailer?
More "Damn Few" loved his!
This was great. Thanks for posting. QQ - how did he fit the Jeep into the elevator? Or was it just a really large elevator? Maybe I missed something.
