@@grienardus12 Seriously!!! This show *should* be a 1/10. I though that was what it was when I first heard about it. But it fires on all cylinders NON-STOP!!!! 11/10 easily.
A couple extra reasons why the fight between Robbie and Eli is awesome: 1. Last season when Robbie started showing up to Cobra Kai, Kreese started to ignore Hawk because Kreese had been looking for a champion and though he found it in Robbie. So Eli winning shows Kreese was wrong about Hawk 2. A few episodes ago Silver and Kreese mentioned how they wanted Cobra Kai “on the backs of both All Valley Champions” but after the talk with Silver before Sudden Death Overtime, Robbie removes his shirt so even if he won Cobra Kai wouldn’t be on his back. Also it’s very symbolic of Robbie shedding his need for Cobra Kai throughout the fight.
It felt like Bloodsport a bit to me as well. I've seen recreations of a Bruce Lee fight, Rush Hour, some shots and move had On Bak feel and even a shot of Johnny doing the Iconic Tae Bo basic move during a video montages lol. Bravo Cobra Kai
I'm curious. It seems to me that CKs sleeveless gi gives them their first advantage. Nothing to grab hold of for opponents. So it goes without saying, going shirtless is even more of an advantage. Can we get a ruling on the play from some martial artists?
@@ItsMeBarnaby It proves that while Robbie is a true cobra (fighting in whatever way brings the desired results), he is not a Cobra Kai (which believes that the way of the fist is always the best way)
OMG, i watched some other reactors to the finale but nothing beats you two reacting to this awesome finale...you brought the excitement, the drama, the emotions and i am here for all that --- seriously all you 40% of non-subscribed watchers you need to fix it, all of it...... caa caww
Silver's betrayal was unexpected and yet perfectly in character. Kreese has always been the "I'm simply better than you and I will win" character, while Silver is the "I am going to break you down before I take everything from you." He's playing 3D Chess while everyone is playing Checkers.
And who knows what he has planned for Johnny next season. We know he likes to find the weak spots and play people on those weaknesses. And Johnny isn't the most stable person, there are lots of cracks to exploit.
The implications there at the ending where you see what Terry did for the match, basically shows that he doesn't even believe in his own students. Even Kreese with as much baggage as he has, at least believes his style of teaching can make people strong. Terry is turning out to be a real villain. Had a decent twist there to the finale. Well done. Terry also made a strange phone call to an anonymous person, which personally I think he is calling up Karate's Bad Boy, Barnes, to be featured in season 5. I know it's a stretch, but hey, they got Chosen.
The reason why Robby knows Daniel Larusso's son's name because Robby became the first disciple of the new generation of Miyagi-Do Karate and also one day his mother Shannon took off with some guy, leaving Robby home alone with no food or electricity as bills were unpaid. Robby then mentions to Sam about his mom leaving and him struggling, Sam tells Daniel who has Robby come stay with him and his Family.....
OMG watching you two watch this episode makes me want to be in your buddy circle! I had all the same feels about the ending of this season. Such a unicorn of a show!
I love that the closing music is "Switch 625" by Def Leppard and Jay is rocking a Leppard shirt, sooooo good ! This reaction channel has no right to be THIS good
The only thing I love more than Cobra Kai is watching your reactions to Cobra Kai. Great episode and another great season. This show rules so hard. Can't wait for season 5. I'd love to see them bring back Mike Barnes (dude is still acting and looks to be in great shape). If they really want to go for the deep cut, bring back Dutch from the first movie.
17:04 depending on the state, a contract doesn’t have to be in writing to be enforced. Verbal agreements can be valid in court. And I am pretty sure paying the ref will void any good faith contract. Lol
You know what scene I want? Chozen and Daniel are training Miyagi Do, and they need to learn this lost technique, but they both kinda fail at it and realize they don't know it. So Chozen is like "We are not going to master this on our own, and Mr. Miyagi isn't here anymore, so we just have to give up on this, because there certainly is no one else who learned from Mr. Miyagi, and who could teach us." Daniel's expression suddenly changes as if he remembers someone. Daniel: "Well... this isn't entirely true..." Cut to Hillary Swank training in her yard.
Honestly, everyone sees the fight between Robbie and Eli as a great piece of choreography. Wich SURELY is. But as a lifelong practitioner of karate myself, I cannot help but tear up a bit during the Tori-Sam fight, especially the moves Sam herself was busting, after Daniel told her yo use "HER" style. Talk about some Flow State shit.
As great as the finale was, both of your reactions are what got me. The excitement, fun, and emotion you showed had me in tears (happy tears that is ☺️) just from seeing how much it affected you. You both are so honest with your reactions whether emotional or excitable no matter what you are reacting to. Thank you both for giving all of us so much joy. I look forward to your videos every day. Thanks Adam & Jay!!!
Another great reaction, as always! 🙌🏻 As far as future cameos, am I the only one who wants to see Robyn Lively’s character from Karate Kid III? Or am I biased because I had a huge crush on her back then?… 🤔 😁
Jay and Adam love you guys reactions...Your videos always makes me smile. JAY your energy reminds me of my brother's who passed away last year. So seeing you smile and laugh means the world to me...Thank You for your videos❤
1) I feel like all eyes are turning towards Hillary Swank right now 😂 2) other reactors have pointed out that Chozen says Yosh, which is apparently a more emphatic version of yes, so he matches your energy.
I was going to watch the whole season before I watched the reactions but I have no time?? So I just binged the entire season’s worth of reactions and frankly I don’t know why I’ve ever experienced content any other way. The humor. The commentary. The insight. The giggles. The devolving into slightly unhinged, slightly manic Best Friend Time halfway through the season. You guys are my people 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 10000000000000000/10 as always
My theory.... Chosen helps teach the offensive side of Miyagi-Do and Johnny learns and loves it! And will actually learn the offensive Miyagi-Do stuff faster than Daniel, which makes Daniel jealous because Johnny and Chosen will bond over it. Robby will be mad at his dad again for leaving after Miguel... Could be that Miguel finds his Dad and he's actually a nice guy, the mom had just left because they didn't have enough money and knew the dad would struggle too much or something, that way Johnny can let him go and be a Dad to Robby... I really hope by the end of next season tho they see each other as bros because if Johnny marries Miguel's mom they will be step bros.
It's amazing how a show can come out and amaze everyone. And then he keeps getting better and better. Other than season 2(being the weakest but was still great). This show, gets better and better every season.
Saw a post from the official Cobra Kai YT account in the comments on another channel. Season 5 in June. Hope they aren't lying to us. Prediction, Miguel's dad is a gang/cartel leader who is a very skilled fighter and tries to keep Johnny from finding him. Robby possibly goes with Johnny to find Miguel. Tory tries to tell Sam about the referee to try to mend the bridge but of course Sam will take it the wrong way thus extending the drama but I don't think it will be long lived. She may also be the one to inform everyone else about Kreese being arrested. Curious to see what happens to the nameless child after his smackdown.
I know I am the only one who thinks this but would love Barnes to have moved on and wonder why people are so obsessed over a tournament from 35 years ago. Like work for Cobra Kai because it is a good business decision but find out it is all about Daniel still and be like WTF
It's not just you. It seems like all the teenage "villains" from the movies have moved on and improved themselves so it would track perfectly for Barnes to have done the same. And it would make sense for him to have left karate behind since it was his loss to Daniel that prevented him from owning half of Cobra Kai.
As season finales go, this was so damn good. The fights were great. Dimitri holding his own in his fights. Terry Silver's betrayal of Kreese. Tory finding out that her victory is an empty one. Miguel going to find his father. Robbie coming back to Johnny. Chosen turning up to support Daniel. It's so good and completely satisfying.
Since Cobra Kai technically won the bet and MyagiDo and Eagle Fang must close, I assume Chozen is there to open up a new dojo in the valley where he Daniel and Johnny can all be senseis and work to take on Silver. Maybe Sato's Karate Dojo from KK2?
I thought the same thing, but now I'm beginning to think it's more likely that Julie will come to Sam's rescue, not Tory's. I think Sam's defeat here (even though she technically won) might send her into a tailspin next season.
