I love this and everyone looks amazing. I have some things to say though....I'm glad they referenced William spawning the idea from the interview but they should have mentioned the show How I Met Your Mother as they talked about this concept in an episode that even featured William and really that deserves credit.
Love the films as a kid and when I first heard they were doing this I was worried they would ruin the legacy. Boy how wrong was I, the show is so beautifully balanced between paying homage to the original films but also turning the characters on their heads....very clever.

Did you know that you can watch the entire rehearsal film on John Avildsens UA-cam channel? Yeah, its pretty amazing to watch! They are talking through the scenes and then running them with minimal sets and props during pre production. There are beta scenes, cut scenes, and just some really cool behind the camera moments that make you feel like you are there in 1983. He posted the entire rehearsal version of the movie a few years before he died. You've got to check it out, its so cool!
This interview and reunion is great and timeless, up to when Amy Schumer showed up. Anyway, I wish Tony O'Dell, aka Jimmy, got asked at least one question or referred to aside from Josh introducing him. The bar fight in season 2 with him and the OG Cobra Kai gang (Johnny, Bobby, and Tommy) is timeless, chair-raising, and epic. My most favorite scene in all of season 2. One of the pool hall douches comes at him. Once he blocks and his them, he gets surprised and shocked that he still has it. I'll probably never forget that. Cobra Kai never dies.
The one guy that was missing was Snake from KK3. But thanks for this awesome reunion. I love all the movies and the series. Keep them coming & maybe more spin-offs about Kreese, Terry Silver & Julie Pierce/Hillary Swanks character in the Next KK (;

My dad trained at the same Dojo where they filmed the third Karate Kid film! He confirms Thomas was indeed a black belt and he even saw him while he was training for the films stunts! Pretty cool.

I have to admit, I did not grow up with the OG Karate Kid. I didn't even know there was a second or third. I knew some stuff about it just from cultural osmosis, and I saw the 2010 remake with Jackie Chan, but it wasn't until Cobra Kai was announced to be coming to Netflix that I decided to see what all the hype was about, and watch the original movies. I wish I had seen them sooner! Watching Karate Kid for the first time was such an eye opening experience. The story, characters, music, fight scenes, and cast chemistry just blew me away! And the Karate Kid Part II was even better, taking into account all that happened in the first film, and building off of it. A true sequel that doesn't copy what the first one did, but instead creates new characters with new motivations, new skill sets, combined with a new beautiful location, even better score, and more fantastic characters. I can't wait to see what's in store for all of them in Season 3!

It has some great moments, like when Daniel is trying to find the guy he hurt and realizes his mistake of learning from Silver, but the stakes are just too low after the amp up of Part 2. I like parts of the story in concept (Daniel being a little older and starting a business, Kreese wanting revenge, Miyagi kicking Kreese and Silver's butts), but the idea that Daniel could be that outmatched by one guy after training under Miyagi for so long? And that he would be that spooked in another tournament where, at worst, he gets a few more bruises? After fighting to the litteral death and almost losing against Chozen in Okinawa? I just don't buy it. The fights should have been a little more evenly matched and longer, to show off that Daniel really can defend himself most of the time. It's just a bit of a letdown after the amazing visuals, music, story, and stakes of going to a foreign country and he and Miyagi really having to defend themselves because the situation is far more dangerous, and calling the Police isn't even an option.
@@Nargon46 Have to disagree on that one, though KK3 is still the lowest in the trilogy for me. Barnes, for me though, is the best KK villain. Chozen may be a better fighter, and Daniel may have surpassed a fight to the death, but all of these experiences can be wiped out if your confidence get challenged by an intimidating opponent who knows how to psychologically mess you up. Kreese and Barnes did just that. KK3 can do better with its execution, but it is still an underrated movie
