That’s why I got a ceramic wrap for extra protection on my tundra. I don’t have to worry about my paint being scratched!

About the Bushwacker Fender Flare do I need to remove the Stock one ?

I’m about to install bushwackers on my 4 runner... I don’t do off road but I live in New Hampshire... should I take the flares every so often to wash those hidden parts???

I'm about ready to buy a set and was thinking of tracing it on the FJ with a pencil and using black electrical tape as the base. The tape should be strong enough to keep the dirt from rubbing through and protect the paint from scratch possibly resulting in rust. Seems to me the tape could be easily removed with a heat gun and cleaned up with goo gone if you wanted to go back. The only issue I see with electrical tape is it gets pretty gooey when hot but I have a silver one so not as bad as black paint. What do you think?

+J Jack I agree. Electrical tape is gooey, should protect the paint, and probably won't get too hot on silver paint. Goo Gone should remove the residue.

I just peeled behind my ‘14 silverado fender flares
If you decide to install these be careful only one year and I have scratches on each fender already
I’m saving up for 4 new fenders now (2 fenders were messed up already from hail, parking lot accident and mailbox
Also I had them installed by someone and idiot drilled into each fender so now I’m worried about rust
