You must not use flame, I spoiled my car through this, it makes plastic brittle. Also, upon cooling a white mark will always show. I recommend using spray paint instead, after rubbing. It gave awesome result to me.
Is that 1500 paper used in small machine??

Use wet buff with soap water for beter results
If you would have filled some filler and then did the heat torch it would have been perfectly and completely fixed.
