Only those who have gone through a project and lived without a sink can truly understand that feeling when you finally get to turn the water back on in your own kitchen sink! haha :D It's always so nice to not have to use the bathroom sink/tub anymore. So far we've gone through that process in all of our previous homes and now this one, haha. So glad it's over!

A wall oven, countertop stove, a great sink, top shelf, if you ask me.
Just a thought, I've had the Berkey for over 6 years now and in many different homes so I've encountered some different scenarios. You might want to put something underneath the Berkey to keep condensation and or water from marking your wood. A big white Asian inspired square plate with a lip would'nt look bad.
I’m still waiting for a happy dance from Ashley. Lol. I’d be jumping up and down after almost 8 months of having no kitchen! But WOW!! It was worth the wait! You guys did such a good job.

Absolutely cracked me up seeing your little guy crawl in on top of your chest to help daddy with the hook up of the water lines HOW FUNNY and so DARLING LOLOL. Oh my goodness. The sink, faucet and install was so simple and beautiful wow even the little woman of the house could have done it GREAT VIDEO and thank you for your easy explanation of it all. The EXTRA's for the sink were awesome things I never knew existed lol. Good JOB!!

Ooh! Fabulous idea. I have been debating taking out the old dishwasher in our "new" old house. We haven't used it even once since we moved in in October 2019. So it seems very much a waste of space to me. 😁

That sink looks like a GREAT BUY! $400 bucks doesn't seem expensive for a stainless sink with that much accessory expansion.
My Father-in-law keeps asking if we are ready for a dishwasher. My husband just smiles, looks at me and says, "I already have one". Lol. But all jokes aside, I feel the same way about a dishwasher. No reason to have one when we [I] don't even let that many dishes get dirty. Loving that sink and all the extras that go with it!

The sink rack for the bottom the sink is to prevent glass and dish breakage.

Doug, you are such a thoughtful husband, and what a wonderful idea for the pot filler! Even if you used your sink it would be too heavy to lift to reassemble. Your house is going to be so nice and comfortable when you finally get through.
The new sink is a beauty! And I learned a new English word: drain board. You‘re right, in Europe, or at least in Germany, every sink has such a drain board. I didn’t even know that there are sinks without one. And I love the little extras that you bought with the sink and those that came with it - very handy. 👍🏼🙋🏻♀️

Ok..... this is the best yet. I'm a kitchen person and spend many hours cooking. The sink and all the gadgets r just amazing. Never encountered a pot filler before but now I want one. Ur very creative and have a clear vision as to what ur final look should be. I love that u don't compromise. Ur patient and take ur time to get what u want. Can't believe how big the kids r getting. The country life is really agreeing with them. And Maverick has really become very chatty. Hard to picture that little man in his carrier not that long ago. Great job guys. It's all so wonderful.

I too wondered why you put the pot filler so far from your stove????? And then your showed me the reason, I had seen that HUGE pot and had NO idea what it was! The light bulb finally came on in my dense brain!! GREAT JOB!!! It was neat to see Belle and Maverick helping as they usually do. I heard you tell Maverick that you were working and the crawled under the sink even faster. You have such sweet, well mannered kids!!! Doug and Ashley ENJOY your Wonderful Kitchen !!!
The pot filler faucet will be useful when filling large pots when canning food! Very practical!

Too many people are reluctant to do things like the pot filler, becaue of "reselling" issues - but this is your home, and you hope it's your forever home, so GFY for making it comfortable, convenient, and workable for YOUR family!!

Now that is a kitchen sink. I don't understand why drainboards aren't on every sink. They pretty much are here in Australia. The kitchen is amazing. You both did a great job choosing your appliances and accessories to maximize the look and function. Lots of creative cooking in the future I'm sure. Now I'm looking forward to the lounge and computer nook.
The US has had a tendency towards novelty & trends, not what has workEd in the past. There are few tried and true kitchen features.
I wanted a large sink with drain board back in the late 90’s, and none were available except for the random vintage sink that was always hundreds of miles away. We bought solid surface counters for our kitchen, as well as a large undermount sink, just so when we were ready, we could have the counter cut to act as a drain board.
OH MY GOSH! You have a full "working" kitchen now! I bet you guys are besides yourselves with happiness ( and I hope proudness too) ! I'm amazed at the look and efficiency of it all! LOVE IT!! Great Job you two! Grammy sends BIG Hugs! XOXO

Your absolutely correct, in Australia most everyone’s got a drain board on the side of our sinks. I love it, and I absolutely love your new sink and taps as well. Looks brilliant! Now you can load up the kitchen cabinets and make a proper meal and wash up all in the same room. I think you have done a wonderful job. Well done. I’ve had a dishwasher ever since I was married (yikes, has it been 40 years?) ... and I’ve always preferred to wash dishes by hand. Hubs and daughter are only ones who use the dishwasher.
LOVE, LLOVE, LOVE that sink, and the accessories ... I too don’t care for poly on a cutting board, cuz you’ll be eating the pieces. You’re handy enough to be able to make a good one to suit you.

It's something you'll use multiple times a day for years. I live in Australia and all our sinks have a drain board, I didn't realise how much I appreciate mine until I realised that not all kitchens have them!

You really had me going with that pot filler. I've never seen a need for one in a simple family kitchen. But filling your water filtration system is a big deal, and I love it up there. And the pot itself is finally out of the way. No pushing it around on that cart from place to place.👍
