  • In this episode We installing a Team-Z upper control arm kit onto Petes car and we dial in the rear axle in regards to pinion angle, and axle centering. We did this while at a simulated "max acceleration" point in the axles travel.
This is not a tutorial on how to set up your car. It is an abridged version of what we did to my friends car to set up his rear axle based on various measurements that were not completely explained.
While this may not be the way you or others set up their rear axles, it has proved its worth to me over the years and I am a believer in it. Because how often do you travel down the track at the same axle position as static ride height? The answer is never. Unless your car makes hardly any power.

I hope those rear fenders were flared the same from the factory if you were plumb bobing off of them to set rear center. Nice job.

It’s more so the tires don’t rub. English roads are very bumpy.

Compared to the old Southside Machine Lift Bars, this setup is MUCH more consistent and controllable going down the track. We haven't been able to get a ton of data to get any exact numbers, but it's not bad. I think he is in the 1.4"s in the 60'.
