What I've done for my differentials is I got a little hand pump to suck it out and put it in. On my ranger you have to pull half the front end apart to get to the dif cover and it's easier to pump it out. Works great when filling too!
Dif fluid comment is opposite. That friction modifier helps slip clutches. It smotthes out grippy clutches, because people complain about chatter. I use RedLine NS (stands for no slip additive) in my trucks. Helps.
When i redid my rear end i didnt add friction modifier because it said it wasnt required with RP.. it made a chirping type noise. I added 4oz of friction modifier and the sound went away immediately.
I have one of those 3rd member covers on my 89 hatch. I bought the cover back in 95 ,made in USA by T Maszuski, and it's good to see there still being made.
Man. If nothing else it looks pretty for sure. Property functioning and adjusted drum brakes in the rear work just fine. Amsoil has some nice soft packs now that work great for gear oil in tough locations.
I tried to get fancy and use a gasket when I put on my diff cover. Came out the next day and ALL of my fluid had leaked out lol. There goes my Royal Purple. Grabbed the rvt and never saw a drop again. Now, I didn't have a fancy gasket like that but still.
I have a 93 fox with rear drums and my dad has a 93 converted to rear discs and honestly doesn't seem to stop that much better than mine. Now in the twisties that's where discs shine, drums get too hot.
Did mine about a month ago and took about 2.5 quarts with the STOCK pan/cover. 2 full ones and a partial third. Didn't bother to look exactly how much, just made it come out the front hole, rotated the gears, added til it came out again. About 2.5+
Carried my marbles in a purple crown bag in mid 2000s lol. But hopefully about to grab an fox or sn95 8.8 this weekend hopefully for my 81 elco. Keep up the informative videos man. We all appreciate it especially us younger guys wanting to learn.
i had one wheel spin at just over 100000 miles ...changed the nasty rear oil and used the friction modifier..the stock rear end came back to life and spin both wheels now(20000 miles lata) np..yes my car is at 120000 miles no leaks runs great(stocker) original r12 factory ice cold air and i love it*...!~!
Mine was the exact same way but I’m at 184k and I changed the fluid and it spins both tires now but she’s coming apart in a couple weeks to do a gear swap and new clutches for the lsd
Just a few more days until insurance is back on my mustang and I can go cruising around in it again. already have new tires on the way with new headlights, swaybar end links, replacment cowl grill, maybe some other stuff
I just bought a diff cover from UPR Products. They make great stuff here in the USA with amazing quality and fair prices. Figured this would go great with the new 3.73’s and full suspension I’m doing over the winter on my 89 GT
Here's my opinion on people calling you out on drum brakes.... UNLESS YOU ARE GOING TOO BUY THEM AND DROP BY AND INSTALL THEM STFU. THIS MAN HAS HIS OWN REASONS ON WHY HE IS OR IS NOT CHANGING THEM !!
I never understood the hate for rear drums. Unless you’re autocrossing or road racing drums are fine, just have them rebuilt while beefing up the fronts with better lines/hoses, pads and rotors. You’ll be fine, just my opinion.
FYI you can get that same cover from Shelby America with the Shelby logo on it. I got mine for my ‘08 Shelby GT. I think it was the same or maybe even a little less than the SVT cover
I'll tell you what the undercarriage atleast in the rear of that car is minty mint(must have been a southern car all its life?!) That thing is really coming together and cant wait to see how those coilovers look out back!......I'm patiently waiting to see yours and then im gonna pull the trigger on ordering myself a 150lb spring coilover kit for my Strange 10ways! Until then......thanks for filming✋!!!💪
Loving the cover, looks awesome.Yeah, if it wasn't so damn expensive to switch over to rear discs, that would be the way to go, don't car for rear dumb brakes, but that is what i still have on my F150, i do get it. Great video, keep up the great content.
If you're not doing repeated heavy braking, rear drums are fine. They'll stop well, and skid the rear tires in panic stops. You're more limited by tire traction/ weight transfer than braking capacity.
I noticed you were using an icon torque wrench, what’s your thoughts on there torque wrench’s as far as durability and spec. Also have you tried the digital one yet?
Nothing wrong with drum brakes in the rear as long as you don't live in the Rust Belt. Otherwise they'll be rusted welded tight by the time its for new brake replacement.
I actually like the look of the drum brakes. Man you've been slinging out videos lately, good work man. Also I've been watching your videos for like 3 years, what the hell is your name, lol?
Wish lmr shipping would work out better for me..it cost the same amount for a heater core.as it does for shipping.it would cost me over 100 bucks..for 10 more bucks I can get one at canadian tire..I'm just going to make a big list so I can order lots if stuff at once.
Hopefully that Chinese different cover don't crack on u if u tighten it up to tight? And hope the threads they tap in don't wanna make the bolts come loose.
I'm really surprised you don't want rear disc brakes I don't think they are absolutely needed mine were on when I bought the car but I probably would have put them on because of the wheel selection reasons but you are really into the appearance of your car and drum brakes just kill the look for me
Looks awesome man! Thank you for the great video 🤘🏼
Don't forget to call me when the saleen wheels come in 😆
That Lube Locker gasket is the truth. I have used it in three different cars with no issues
THAT UNDERCARRIAGE IS CLEEEEEAN,NICE DETAIL!!! VERY CLASSY,NICE INSTALL.
Terminator strength now, getting ready for the throwdown!
Some days watching this build..thinking back to everything that has been done to this car..this has come along long long way.
As if lmr just did ya a solid and sent you it, what a great company!
What I've done for my differentials is I got a little hand pump to suck it out and put it in. On my ranger you have to pull half the front end apart to get to the dif cover and it's easier to pump it out. Works great when filling too!
agreed...a little hand pump transfer cap and tube and its eazy peazy
Dif fluid comment is opposite. That friction modifier helps slip clutches. It smotthes out grippy clutches, because people complain about chatter. I use RedLine NS (stands for no slip additive) in my trucks. Helps.
With the gas tank in, just use an 8" piece of 3/8 clear tubing connected to the bottle tip, to feed the fluid into the top fill hole.
When i redid my rear end i didnt add friction modifier because it said it wasnt required with RP.. it made a chirping type noise. I added 4oz of friction modifier and the sound went away immediately.
Lmboooo 😂🤣😂 at the Crown Royal bag. Yup, gonna buy at because it looks cool, LOL
I have one of those 3rd member covers on my 89 hatch. I bought the cover back in 95 ,made in USA by T Maszuski, and it's good to see there still being made.

Love your personality and mannerisms. A true good 'ole boy. Here's to y'all, from FL.
I want too install one on my F-150
My car stops fine with drum brakes and I pulled a loaded trailer on Rocky Mountain Race Week with no stopping problems.
I tried to get fancy and use a gasket when I put on my diff cover. Came out the next day and ALL of my fluid had leaked out lol. There goes my Royal Purple. Grabbed the rvt and never saw a drop again. Now, I didn't have a fancy gasket like that but still.
Nice upgrade! LMR has been great for ordering all the engine stuff on the 67, glad you introduced me to them
I can vouch for the lube locker gasket and you don't need any rtv
I have a 93 fox with rear drums and my dad has a 93 converted to rear discs and honestly doesn't seem to stop that much better than mine. Now in the twisties that's where discs shine, drums get too hot.
Mine took almost 2 1/2 quarts so it’s definitely good advice to check it. Lube locker makes a nice transmission pan gasket also.
Did mine about a month ago and took about 2.5 quarts with the STOCK pan/cover.
2 full ones and a partial third. Didn't bother to look exactly how much, just made it come out the front hole, rotated the gears, added til it came out again. About 2.5+
Looks great brother!!
Looks sweet. Love the driveway!
Carried my marbles in a purple crown bag in mid 2000s lol. But hopefully about to grab an fox or sn95 8.8 this weekend hopefully for my 81 elco. Keep up the informative videos man. We all appreciate it especially us younger guys wanting to learn.
Sweet kit LMR! I hope this EPA crap does not hurt them at all because guys (and gals) like us need them.
You do a lot for them, I’m glad that they’re taking care of you! 🦊
I liked the rear diff cover! I’m probably gonna add it, but not bulletproof it.🦊
Its coming together nice...cant wait...if we ever meet up I wanna ride in the Peoples Fox...
i had one wheel spin at just over 100000 miles ...changed the nasty rear oil and used the friction modifier..the stock rear end came back to life and spin both wheels now(20000 miles lata) np..yes my car is at 120000 miles no leaks runs great(stocker) original r12 factory ice cold air and i love it*...!~!

Love the bloopers! Lmao. Stay safe bro!
I’m still running my drum brakes lol and it stops on a dime with 🪙 left over keep the shoes adjusted that’s key
I changed my diff fluid and used that gasket dry...no leaks at all. I think it is reusable too.
Just a few more days until insurance is back on my mustang and I can go cruising around in it again. already have new tires on the way with new headlights, swaybar end links, replacment cowl grill, maybe some other stuff
That is a pretty welding job.
I really enjoy your videos sir! Thanks for sharing. I just picked up a 1990 at the age of 44. My birthday present lol
Congratulations on the new fox!
👍😎 my kids are older than you. LOL.
Just going to tie in with the other suspension mods good! Great upgrade.👍🏽
i got the Ford Racing dif cover
You know that cover might work on my 03 marauder. I looked at a few others and I think they will hit sway bar.
I got a lubelocker and it works!!! It has been off 10 times and still works. Life saver
I want to know where you found some Crown Easter candy. I think I could get into some of that. Lol. That cover is looking killer.
I just bought a diff cover from UPR Products. They make great stuff here in the USA with amazing quality and fair prices. Figured this would go great with the new 3.73’s and full suspension I’m doing over the winter on my 89 GT
You should buy those Cadillac brembos and redo them so they don't look like they came from a GM and atleast go for bigger breaks in the front
Mine work fine.
Self adjusters work.
I never understood the hate for rear drums. Unless you’re autocrossing or road racing drums are fine, just have them rebuilt while beefing up the fronts with better lines/hoses, pads and rotors. You’ll be fine, just my opinion.
Shes looking awfully sneaky and devious with that Easter candy.🤫 Maybe, just maybe you can have a piece. Can't blame her, I like candy too.🍬🍭🍫
Cars coming along great brother. Hope to see it live this year at one of the shows coming up 👍
FYI you can get that same cover from Shelby America with the Shelby logo on it. I got mine for my ‘08 Shelby GT. I think it was the same or maybe even a little less than the SVT cover
It would be cool if we could manufacture something like this in America
Bro whats the story on that gnarly gash man lol.. Great video as always!
I'll tell you what the undercarriage atleast in the rear of that car is minty mint(must have been a southern car all its life?!) I love that. Memphis can I have some Easter Candy ? OH HELL NO. That was funny.
Do you have an active coupon code for lmr right now?
BREW2LHPTQ
Can’t wait to see what she’ll do! Do you think you should make up the difference in volume from not putting the friction modifier in?
Fill until it comes out the front hole.
If you use posi lube, add it early and then add oil to the hole.
I noticed you were using an icon torque wrench, what’s your thoughts on there torque wrench’s as far as durability and spec. Also have you tried the digital one yet?
Just purchase this SVE rear differential cover for my 2014 Mustang gt.....
THAT is a well kept secret.🙄🙄🤔🤔
Wish lmr shipping would work out better for me..it cost the same amount for a heater core.as it does for shipping.it would cost me over 100 bucks..for 10 more bucks I can get one at canadian tire..I'm just going to make a big list so I can order lots if stuff at once.

Any LMR CODES?
Hi do we have to torque the load bolts can I just screw them all the way back and torque the outer nuts instead
Man… You’ve got the underside of the car looking clean!
Is there a a size difference between the SVO and the FMS diff cover.. as far as installing the MM panhard bar?
Are u running the bmp upper torque arm kit and swap bar
Looks good
My drum brakes stop great. I had my wife put on my diff cover for me when I was pretending to be like Andrew and not work 🤣
👀😆😆😆😆👌
Lol....crown royal bag on bike.....lolol....love it.
#puttinginwork
NO SEALANT ON A LUBE LOCKER!! lmao, im running them on my jeep front and rear, trust me you dont need silicone, and its reusable.

That rear end looks so sexy. 🤣
Bro I didn’t know you had a Subaru since you vape lmao 😂
4:25 wasp drive by.
aren't the drum brake's lighter then the disk brake setup?
Tech Tip from The Rabid Moose Garage: Do not use your torque wrench as a hammer. lol
Nice Azz
Well we know which car is your favorite lol 😆
I'm really surprised you don't want rear disc brakes I don't think they are absolutely needed mine were on when I bought the car but I probably would have put them on because of the wheel selection reasons but you are really into the appearance of your car and drum brakes just kill the look for me
Throw that torque out or get it calibrated! Never use use a precision device like that or ad a hammer!
Lmr is great place i just don't care for sve line. El cheapo!
Sexy Vehicle Equipment...
Memphis is more budget than you are. LMAO
I can smell that diff fluid from here .....yuck
Ole stinky gear oil!!!🤭🤭🤭🤭 i hate that stuff!!!
