I played this podcast, decided to get out of bed, hit the gym, and I broke my depressing cycle and couldn't be more grateful for discovering this guy. One year update, moved out my parents house, serving in the US Coast Guard, lifes great and look up to people like goggins and have become persistent in my training because its part of the job lol thanks for the support at my low guys I appreciate all the likes, thank you
I've run thousands of Miles, and done thousands of pushups, and chin-ups. Not physically, but mentally. I am 36 years Old with Blood Cancer. I've been fight everyday for 8 years now. I can't physically do what this man does at the moment, but I get out of bed everyday, and push my limits physically and mentally. I've been on Chemotherapy for 20 months, and on the Bone Marrow Transplant list. I know this is only temporary pain and mental anguish for now. I will get through this Blood Cancer one way or another.... In Death or in Life I will WIN. Thanks Joe, and "Goggins".
supreme action shut the fuck up I hope Hollywood doesn’t fucking make a movie about this, all about Hollywood is fucked up and flip the story, Goggins is too real for that bullshit
B H shut the fuck up and go read the book, exactly like Farenhieght 451 our society is looking for fake fucking movies get that fake shit out of here motivated asshole
I did 10 years in the Marine corps and in the past 16 months I have put on 40lbs and have been battling depression. I heard it all, motivation speeches, books,...etc, but this shit right here has touch my mind, heart and soul.. Im gonna get my shit together and battle my demons, Thank you Goggins.
Semper Fi brother! As a Marine veteran myself, I always find motivational speeches from other veterans as corny and cliche, but this one hits me different. I think I feel Goggins more than anyone, because of his constant f-bombs... totally relatable lol.
“ Nothing wants to stand in front of anything that is Relentless “ - Goggins. Wishing you all Well during these times 💯 Be Relentless on your Pursuit 🔥 I’m new to UA-cam.. if you have a few minutes to spare it would be appreciated 🙏🏾💪🏾 ua-cam.com/video/5mRqWrOWKVE/v-deo.html
This is my 1st time watching his podcast, but was something I appreciated immediately. Very rarely do you even get the sense that the interviewer truly listens to his guest, but instead are busy trying to set up the next question.
5 months ago I was also in pest control (as a 35 year old), not liking where I was in life and not a high school graduate. After listening to this podcast, there was a spark in me and I decided to get my GED. It was hard because I didn’t really pay attention in High school. I wanted to face my fears and grow as a man and be disciplined, so I decided to study for the ASVAB, it took a while and I needed to get a 50% on the test to join because I had my GED. I studied and passed with a 50, I was so happy and proud that I had what it takes to pass the test . I went through Basic military training, passed every test in Techschool and now I’m at my first duty station in Air Force Base in Idaho. I’m glad I faced my fears and decided to change my life. I’m not done and I know I will face more challenges. You might never see this but Thank you Goggins. God bless everyone who reads this, you got this!!!
I come from living paycheck to paycheck to paycheck working for amazon and the gas station I’ve had countless jobs at this point Im 23 but im looking for a long career now. The only Career that gained my respect as a person is the military. Watching boys like me go and become men I told myself I don’t like conflict and have been a coward ever since but now im fed up with everything im not afraid anymore I want to stop being scared to live my life and just live it everything depends on it I want a family too I’m not just going to lay down and die. Ill become a soldier before I become an inmate 😤💪🏼🇺🇸 all respect to those soldiers who have lost their lives to keep us safe you motivate me to follow your path I would not rather be anywhere else doing anything else
I mean his story is in the book. It seems kinda redundant how everyone just asks him to tell the story over and over. I want to see him talk about some other things.
George Thomas Ambitious has a different connotation but it’s similar. Ambitious often gets clumped into being cut-throat, taking advantage of others to get ahead, maybe having unrealistic goals, etc. Not always though. Driven is more purely about consistent action towards achieving goals without a negative connotation.
I believe drive is also a gift to a certain extent and part of peoples make up in combination with the environment they grow up in. Sure it can be tweaked but people need to be a little realistic.
I’m literally in a dark place right now, not super depressed but not good. I can’t sleep, anxious as hell, and I turn on UA-cam and here is this guy. Very glad I found this.
@@MikeyOMillaMane Seriously man you wont regret it. Dont have to ever step in a ring just training is awesome. So much to learn and work on. Just make sure it's a good place and not some bullshit McDojo.
Around 3 years ago, this video deeply moved me to do something about my situation.today i am 3 years sober.no cigarettes ,no alcohol,no weed ,no drugs.done with my CPA and my masters degree.working on my body.i am a totally different much better version of myself that i am proud of.it hit me today that this video was the start of my journey.you are real one goggins.thankyou sir.
Imma try to do the same thing. Haven't been sober over a week for months now, rarely go a day without drinking. I am going to try for real this week to avoid getting a drink.
When I first watched this I was 260lbs, 3 years later I'm 185, this interview is what got the ball rolling in the right direction, thanks Joe and David
Everything that Goggins says, really makes me learn more about hardwork in life and how to overcome laziness and bad habits. May God bless this man. For everything he has done.

Goggins will probably never see this shit but I feel obligated to leave a comment. Over the past two years I've battled depression, insecurities, anxiety and all kinds of emotional issues. Tonight my significant other, the love of my life, the one person I felt close with in this world left me. I feel broken. It feels like I have nothing left in life but myself and my demons. After watching this interview, I ordered a heart rate monitor and signed up for some endurance events in March. I'm already in great shape but I feel like this moment is catalyst for pushing myself to the next level. Next year I want to become a SERE Specialist for the Air Force. Thank you for being a candle of realism and tough love in a cold fucking world, David. If I ever cross paths with you in real life, I hope I get to thank you for all of the good you've done.
That's amazing man! You can do it! Push yourself each and every day! Callous that mind become a machine and you will become truly hard! Get after it! No excuses!
Funny thing, My father passed away almost 3 years ago and I was obese , the wome I love left me 7 months ago and even that didnt change me. It was listening to David's book while working and getting deep into his mindset that didn't change me. I just hit the gym for the first time in months today. #canthurtme
hey man congratulations about your significant other leaving you. nothings holding you back now. if she left you then she was never meant to be with you. soul mates stick together. if she dont stay by your side she aint your soul mate. so once again congratulations for her leaving you. you dodged a bullet, now get after it in life and make life your bitch. Do you and everything will fall into place
Hey I don't know if David will read this but I wanted to tell him this. It's been two years, I've gone from being a barely-employed loser to working 14 hour days to become a pilot. I've always wanted to be a pilot, and I always counted myself out, and because of what you've said I have decided to give the finger to the world and get what I want. I've got a couple more years of this, but I'll make it. Thanks for your story, my guy. You've given me a fire.
I was a high school dropout because, academically, I was a failure. Eventually got my GED but I’ve always been afraid of school because of my failures. Like goggins said, you start to believe that you’re no good, that you can’t study and succeed like others, you can’t compare to them at all, etc. I could relate to Goggins 100% in everything he talks about. Goggins, and Ultimate Warrior, inspired me to face my fears. You can run all you want but your demons will always find you. Goggins biggest fear is water, mine was school. Even the thought of going would give me anxiety and keep me awake at night. Being real with myself…I was dumb. I was uneducated. This needed to change. I wanted to be someone I would be proud of. I decided to face my fear because I needed to taste that victory, that success over my greatest nemesis. Many days and nights of suffering, four letter words at books and papers, etc resolved into graduating with honors from the university and now pursuing my graduate degree. I eventually want to complete my PhD as the ultimate opponent that I refuse to let stand in my way from accomplishing my dream. Goggins is changing lives for the better and I’m living proof of that.
Total respect for JR. Should have hammered out a counter deal w UA-cam. Hard to get the same effect in a podcast where you can’t see his reaction. Hat off to him for making that kind of deal w Spotify though
Cause joe aint doing an interview this is podcast and from years of communicating on tv and things like im sure he learned to just let other speak cause at the end of the day the guests are kind of the point not saying joes not the star but i think he and same for the majority of his viewers enjoy the stories and conversations
David Goggin will always say; Don't stop when you're tired. Stop when you're done. It’s such a blessing that my partner and I aren’t just married, but we’re also each other’s best strategic partner in the gospel and in business. We compliment each other and we have an Adviser to work with. Praise God!! And thank you for this awesome content!
No she's not!... UA-cam is a public place; i can't drop her information here but You can just put her name on google and you will be directed to her website and drop her your message.
It's probably because he swears a lot, and it was nice of Rogan to not even ask him to hold back the swearing so he could monetize the video. He just let him be him.
I love how Goggins has done it. He's not like those other guys who tell you what to do, and tell you to lose weight and tell you to get up and go for a run. He's done. Week in week out. I've watched this probably every 6 months and always feel inspired. I always get up immediately and go for a run.
Joe Rogan completely admires this man and thats why he is so quiet. David Goggins is the epitome of what pushing the human body to its boundaries is all about.
I bought David Goggins book and the things he’s been through will make you cry. He’s a survivor both physically and mentally. If he can do it, we all can. Get control over your mind and then your circumstances, and be your own hero. Thanks for having him on Joe.
I have been down a David Goggins rabbit hole today. I have now committed to doing 75 Hard. I have one major break through in the cookie jar from last year when I didn't train like I should for a triathlon. I didn't loose the weight, I'm in Canada and didn't get enough weather to actually ride my bike out side other than like 3 days. I left for North Carolina weighing 200 lbs. It was colder there the day of the race than it was in Kamloops, BC. It was 3 degrees when we woke up and it was 5 when the race started and it was pouring rain. I had had one day practicing riding the actual race bike my friend had borrowed from her sister. I had to figure out how to get my feet in the stirrups without wiping out. I had no business evening thinking I should be doing that triathlon. But I did. During the bike, I was in a living pain of hell after the first couple miles. My crotch was raw from rubbing on this tiny hard road bike seat. I was crying in so much pain. I had to stop readjust a couple times but it didn't get better. My girlfriend told me there was no shame in not doing the run. I had nothing to prove. But when I came around that last turn and saw the transition for the run , literally yelled so loud , "My vagina has never been so f#@$%!g glad to see this transition. "😂 There was no one there but the guys packing up the cones. I didn't know if I was so far in last place that everyone had finished the run and I was just starting. I didn't care. My goal was to finish this mother f$%#@$g race. I changed out some quick equipment. My girlfriend again was like are you sure. Yep. I took off out there. My plan was to run first mile walk a minute run a mile walk a minute. Well not only did I run the whole thing, I got lost for .5 mile and had to back track cause they were already taking down the signs on the route. I saw another runner who had been behind me going a different way and realized I had to go back. I never caught her but I crossed the finish line. My friend wasn't there because she got lost trying to find me. There was a stranger and when I fell to my knees in total pride of what I had done he came over and gave me hug. I didn't get a picture of the finish line cause we couldn't carry cameras and by the time my girlfriend found me the inflatable "finish line" arch was deflated. 😂 but I know what I did. I was a total fricken warrior that day. ❤
A year ago I watched this entire podcast. I was the heaviest I ever was at 291 lbs, lost didn't know where my life was going. After I watched this podcast, I decided to change my life. Now a year later im at 225 pounds, running 5k training for a 10k. It was a lot of hard work but it is possible you guys. STAY HARD
Matt Bab so RIGHT, with people MAKING HEROES out of mere ACTORS who do action movies. One of them, a super famous actor, even CLAIMED to be as fit and as mentally strong as the real SEALS, after he went through PRIVATE, STUDIO TYPE TRAINING for a movie. But people still love and idolize him for his ACTION movies.
True. The top comment right above yours is a nice coincidental proof of this. "I showed this to my *insert animal* and now it's a *insert larger animal*! Haha I'm so original!"
I fucking hate mediocrity & being normal. Nothing about my entire fucking life has been normal up to this point, yet ppl still want to encourage me to live a "normal" life. Lol, normal ppl just wont get it. When u make it thru the extraordinary things i have, u have no desire to live an ordinary life. I'm working towards living an extraordinary life because i've been thru a shit ton of extraordinary things
Not only Goggins is inspiring but reading all these comments (which many are testimonials) are also very inspiring to me. I'm too old at 73 but I think I will try to do more each day as well. I'm 25 pounds overweight so I'm going to try and begin there. Great podcast Joe...thank you.
1:37:55 The quote is by Heraclitus: “Out of every one hundred men, ten shouldn't even be there, eighty are just targets, nine are the real fighters, and we are lucky to have them, for they make the battle. Ah, but the one, one is a warrior, and he will bring the others back.” Strive to be that One. ✊💪
@@MosesIssachar in summary achilles was a character in homer's iliad. he was one of the greatest warriors the world has ever seen, if not the greatest and could slay entire armies on his own. he was the greek hero of the trojan war and slayed prince of troy, hector. he rallied the confidence of his fellow soldiers and lead them into battles. they all received their confidence from fighting alongside a great warrior and a powerful leader. on their own the soldiers would be alike any other, but by achilles they formed on of the greatest armies the world has ever seen. my point is that "one" could be in reference to achilles. though it would be wise to remember achilles only existed in mythology.
I don't normally watch JRE but this podcast was incredible. I used to run competitively in high school, and now at 28 I'm just getting back into it. I am taken aback that he was capable of running 200+ miles nonstop, I honestly had never heard of an ultramarathon til now. But David is so right that its hardly about the physical pain as it is about the mental fortitude to get through it. Just not quitting and fighting those thoughts in your mind. That's what made me have a love of the sport, is how much it strengthened my character and made me feel like I could push through any pain in life. I was never athletic, didn't have a competitive bone in my body but after I started running in high school I eventually got down to a 6:05 mile, from being the slowest on the team at one point. Words can't describe how good that felt. This podcast was unbelievably motivating and just makes me wanna go ten times harder in the gym and in life!! David Goggins ur a legend
“I’m not gifted, I’m just driven”. It’s quotes like these that resonate with me and many other people, not everyone is blessed with certain gifts, but everyone can get out and push themselves. David’s mindset has been with me for the last few days since watching this, just back from a run. It’s not going to stop, we’re going to get after it every day. Thanks for the inspiration.
@@Guiltrip just under 6 miles this morning. It’s not much to some but we’ll keep going. But I like the accountability, it’s very easy to kid yourself you’re doing enough when you can squeeze more. Thanks for asking though :)
@@draneyx5415 thats amazing man glad you're sticking to it. I totally agree you can always squeeze more I always tell myself that whenever I'm about to quit I continue to do more reps or more distance in the runs because I know I can and its just my body telling me to stop not my mind.
@@Guiltrip yeah David’s mindset has played a big part in it, when it gets tough I just think back to him pushing himself to 100 miles when he was first starting out and was a much heavier weight. Doing my first half mara in March so working to that. Keep after it brother 👊🏻 thank you
@@draneyx5415 That's what i do i think if he could pass all these insane mental barriers then surely I can pass a few and keep going. Good luck in your half marathon you got it.
I used to have the fire like Goggins when I was in high school. After high school I still have a little but it had died down a whole lot. Ive gotten lazy and fat now. Listening him talking to Joe Rogan is motivating me. I need to get back in shape again.
He calls himself arrogant all the time; he has to keep it in check. If David's the greatest man walking on the planet right now, YOU ARE TOO. That's his message! Stay hard.
Greatest? Have you met the other 8 billion or do famous people automatically overwrite those who avoid the limelight? I hate when people talk in such ridiculous extremes, it makes no fucking sense because there’s no way you could’ve tested or known all the other 8 BILLION people who also do incredible things but never talk about it! Yeah maybe I’m taking it too literal but if he didn’t mean it that literally then maybe he shouldn’t say it in such a way.
Watching the 1080 and 1212 episodes of this podcast + buying this man's book changed my life and the way I see things right now! August 2020 I was at 233 lbs., anxiety, panic attacks, burn-out, unemployed, tried to find a new job (internship or junior position in IT) after finishing the studies but it was so hard, I failed all the interviews... I was down, all of this hit me and didn't know what to expect from life. June 2022 - I'm at 185 lbs. No more anxiety, panic attacks. I'm doing workouts 5 times a week, sleeping at least 7 hours per night, reading books, listening to podcasts and constantly learning. Currently I'm working for one of the biggest software companies in the world. This man was right. All of this shit was in my mind. My mind was playing games with me. I constantly remind myself to STAY HARD and never give up. Thank you, David & Joe!
David Goggins single handedly took me out of 3 end mode stituations (sui***). 4 years later I am still grinding. No im not like him. Never will be. I been in a slump last 2 months. Once again. He made me hard. 5 foot 7 inches (173 cms). Went from 76 kgs to 73 in 2 months. Aiming to 71 kgs by december 2024. Thanks David. You saved my life more than once. I only listen to him when running. Averaging 10 kms per day last 7 days. Shooting for 11 kms this week. Jonathan from Mauritius. Indian Ocean. Africa.
I didn’t workout for 7 years and gained 50lbs. Started running after watching this video in December 2021. Ran a half Ironman October 2022 (never ran a race before), a marathon a few weeks later with 3 days notice, a solo half marathon during a blizzard (-9c) at night in December 2022, and I’m preparing for a full Ironman this October (2023). Thanks for the inspiration!
This Man is one and only One of all of us.......There will never be another David Goggins.......I've been dealing with so much stress. I remembered my Granddaughter told me about him a couple of years ago and I studied him then and remembered the Strength I got from him. He's Amazing. Unbelievable! His mindset is like no other. I love how he always says he makes himself good enough....To make it. I love his mind set so much. I want and need to be more like him. We all do.

Unintentionally, this podcast is how I’ve started my 2020. Wishing you all the tools you need to accomplish goals & become the people you’re meant to be.
I just turned this podcast on and went for a run with no destination. I felt broken inside and I was crying for no reason, but I got my ass out of my room and ran. It was the best experience I’ve ever had in my life. I ran the most I ever had and I couldn’t feel better afterward. Drugs, girls, money couldn’t compare to it and I’m forever thankful for the message these gents had to offer.
It’s the 20th of September 2019, and when I saw this a year and seven months ago, I weighed 105 kg, even though I’m only 5’8. I started exercising, eating healthy, stopped drinking Coca Cola, and eating fast food. My jeans was size 46, it’s 32 right now, and I weigh 70 kg, with a body fat of 12%, which used to be 34%. Thank You David! I’m just an Arab dude from the other side of the world, but it all happened because I wanted to be as good as you, and you inspired me. Lol I even love shopping for clothes nowadays. I wish you all the best.
I first listened to this podcast while I was shooting a daily maintenance dose of heroin, just before I started painting my soon to be here daughters nursery. Last time I got clean it was literally like being tortured a month straight. Endless muscle an bone pain, convulsion seizures in my sleep and hallucinating through the days. So I was desperately looking for a painless way out of the prison I put my life in once again. There’s no painless way. “Progress comes when the pain of staying the same outweighs the pain of change.” Thank you for the inspiration that helped when I felt like giving in while stuck meditating on the milliseconds of nothing between the pain. My daughter will always have a father worth having now and get to meet him as a clean sober person when she gets here.
you really need valium , xanax or clonazepam for the seizures and night restless legs and too sleep. it helps a lot. so take something for energy when you wake up like hydroxycut or herbal energy pills and try to exercise and sweat out toxins then at night take your sleep aids like clonazepam. THC /CBD drops help withdrawal also . good luck
J Jay helllll no. I did that rout before and it just delays the shit. Deal with the pain and at most take a Gabapentin and you’ll be fine. Don’t post stuff like that unless ur a doctor man. Kids see that shit n in their desperation end up with an entirely new set of problems. Kids if ur reading this. Ask ur doctor about gabapentin for detox. It stops any seizures and restless legs and it’s non narcotic.
J Jay you’re 100 percent right about CBD though bro. Shits a life saver for aches and insomnia. I appreciate the advice. Hope ur sobriety is going strong!
The first time I listened to this, it changed my life. I was feeling sorry for myself and goggins motivated me to get my shit together. I feel like he shows that no matter what you’ve been through you can still put your mind to something and achieve it. He’s an example of hard work, Dicipline, willpower, resilience, and a million other things. Beast mode mentality. He truly is an inspiration.
Imagine having a restaurant so gross- you make a person quit their job on the spot and begin on a life-long journey to seize control over their own mind.
As I sit here, 18 months into working out and my sorry attempt at a healthy life, working out 4-5 days a week, but slacking in my diet and only down about 80 pounds from 398 to 320 at 6 foot 3, i just finished Goggins book. I watched this to really drive it home. I sit at my table, fed up with my relationship and my progress or lack thereof, drinking liqour out the bottle with some fucking diet coke, I am “looking in the accountability mirror” and realizing I could be so much further in life and in my journey. This moment with my liqour in hand watching this is my “chocolate milkshake and giving up” moment. I vow from this moment to forward, to drive this shit home. Thank you Goggins. Bring me back to this comment a year from now. 12 months hard. Starting NOW
How Goggins summarizes his whole life in the first half of the podcast is so amazing but also you have to pause and sit and think like I have to sit down and think and then go do hard fucking miserable stuff to understand him. It is mind-blowing love him truly and he is right you will not get anything from his word as it is the action that will enlighten you
I was having a bad day. Anxiety was raging, worried about my job, my health my family. Decided to go for a run and bike ride while listening to this great man. I think that this man changed my life today.
Goggins has changed my life, he has changed my mindset with facing difficulty. I tried running once, I ran for 1.83km and I came back home, liver hurting, sweating, but I realized that Goggins has went through this as well. The other day I challenged my friend to run 3KM the quickest, I started running, after some time, I was like "Man have I ran 3km yet? I don't wanna stop cuz I starting would be hard" and so I kept running for around 1 hour and 34 minutes and in total I ended up running (and a bit of walking) 16KM. This is an achievment for me. Now while listening to this podcast, I've been doing pushups. I'm on 320 pushups, at 1:56 PM I'm aiming for 1000. EDIT #1: It's now 2:56PM and I'm on 400 push ups. EDIT #2: 500 pushups at 3:56PM. Stay hard! Alex the G.
I ran 7.52 miles after watching the first hour & that’s the most miles I ever ran, something about mental toughness & getting through difficult shit has me Intrigued. David Goggins is a true inspiration of not giving up. Thank you for the service as well. Salute.
Same, never ran a 5k in my life and I watched this and went for a run thinking I was gonna do a mile at most and Runkeeper said I did my first 5k in 32 minutes and eventually finished at 3.7 miles for the run in 34 degree weather.
Really starting listening to David a few weeks ago and I started running. Got off my ass and ran for the first time in 5 years at least. I’m naturally skinny but not fit in the slightest, I have never been able to run a full mile without stopping my entire life. Today I ran my first mile without stopping for a break. It might not sound like much but it’s something that I never thought that I had it in me, now that I know that i can do it I have found more confidence and I’m excited to achieve more and grow. I’ve taken the lessons from David and will continue to run and explore other areas in my life that need improvement, I will fail but I won’t stop till I’m done. Writing this right now I have less than $5k 6’1 150lbs No career or degree Less than average fitness I will change all of this or die trying Living a life of mediocrity is worse than death to me now. Time to practice what I preach, until then everyone.
Bravo Joe. I just got released from jail today. I felt horrible in county. I felt like a loser and was stuck. I thought I ruined my future plans my family and I have. I needed this podcast today. Fuck depression and overcome it. Let's get it. Thank you David Goggins and Joe Rogan.
I am 29, I have had a very hard life from the start. I made a lot of bad choices and blamed everything everyone but myself. Two months ago I sat down for 8 days alone with nothing no one and no destruction. I have started making changes. I watch both of you all the time. Thank both of you for the motivation I hope to meet both of you one day and tell you my story to help someone else that struggles in the same way.
So great to hear man! If you haven't already check out stoicism. Found it through looking up inspirational people like Rogan, Goggins, and videos like this. Changed and continues to change my life! Good luck to you and your journey!
I needed this podcast man I've gained over 160 pounds in the last 5 years! just broke up with the love of my life because shes worried I'm killing myself with my lifestyle but starting from now on this shit gonna change Thank u for the inspiration
You can do it! Listen to CT fletcher or Les Brown every morning eat oatmeal no dairy all greens you can lose 120 lbs like I did. Took me 4 years of trials and tribulations patience is key.
Good call mate. Take this enthusiasm and run with it...literally lol. Don't let apathy and old habits squash this feeling you have right now. Your motivation will start to drop, so get straight to it and then use the good feeling of looking and feeling good to keep you motivated. Just remember, diet is king. You gotta cut out as many carbs as you can, especially simple carbs like "sugar" but also watch your rice and pasta. It may be better but it'll still make you hold weight. Good luck
It is strange to see about 3k dislikes for a guy like Goggins who speaks his heart out and shows you the mirror. This guy is so amazing that since I have stumbled upon his interviews, I became answerable to myself. Each and every time I feel low, I listen to this guy. Like Rocky's one scene is to Goggins, inspiring, it is for me to listen to him speak the facts out and keep me going the hard way. All my respect for this man.
Not so strange my friend. I would like to agree with wet dog ^ but in reality there are base, mean trolls on every motivational speakers videos that have any popularity. Any time someone says these things, especially forcefully and with passion, some people will look to tear them down as well as the people that listen. It's an unfortunate aspect of human nature.
Triggers emotional insecurity in people. There mind refusing to let go of control in people, it's a real sign of an individuals small personal perspective and the power of delusion they have, that they cant relate to the message. "You cant handle the truth" rings hard with alot of people in our world, this is not new, they existed since the beginning. All you can do is be disappointed, not in their weakness, but the waste of potential strengths which will not be realised in these individuals. May God have mercy on their souls.
@@Grimbladex They won't let you use the toilets / restrooms. Even urgently. Poor form. I escalated to Cranbourne manager Shane and politely requested many times but he was an uncourteous parrot repeating same thing, treat you like an animal. Busting and first time there they said go to the pub or shopping centre which we don't even know the area! Wtf What a joke. Let's see what action will be taken? I'm lodging formal complaints in detail to DHS. Pathetic conduct and appalling response by Shane ruined our morning. He better hope his own mother does not have a full bladder in public and embarrass herself. Prick. This is the first government site I've been to that doesn't allow use of on-site water facilities. If they book us there again I'll drink a cup of coffee beforehand, 2 litres of water for hydration, 1 litre of Cola so my urine is yellow, and piss myself on their floor so they can wipe it, for wasting our time and saying the same crap over again. Star is for the pleasant to deal with interviewer Dani. Interpreter on call was also decent this time round.
Watched this video for the first time 4 months ago, I was depressed and was smoking weed sitting on my couch doing nothing valuable with my life. Fast forward 4 months and I’ve worked out everyday since, lost 20 pounds, enlisting in the army for ranger school. Truly grateful I found this video, changed the direction of my life completely.
TheThriller calm down buddy no ones saying you can’t get high. He’s just saying that’s pretty much all he was doing and at the same time was depressed cause he wasn’t doing anything productive with himself,so he decided to make a change. You can too 👍🏻 and still get high
Mylia International I can guarantee you even a strong mind can’t push beyond half of what the heart can do . So worry about strengthening your mind first, you’re not gonna run your heart to death
I'm a Brit but I spent 2 months recently in Texas helping to run a youth camp. One of the activities we did with the kids was to ask them to draw a timeline of their life and how happy they were during different points in their life. As we were doing this exercise I notice one of the kids hiding under a desk and not really participating in the activity so I go over and ask him what was wrong. He shows me his timeline and says, "My dad killed himself before I was born so I started my line below 0 happiness. I've been raised by my mum since I was born." That kid (15 years old at the time) was a leader throughout the two months I had the privelage of knowing him. He threw himself into every challenge and activity with a courage, maturity and spirit I had never seen before or since. We were staying at a place in Utah at one point and he decides to make dinner for the rest of the kids. By himself. No-one told him to...everyone was watching tv at the time. Although that might sound a bit stupid, that's something that stuck with me amongst a few others. My point is is that you don't have to have traditional strong male role models in your life. Some kids don't have a dad either because of divorce or in this case suicide. This kid was a leader at 15 years old. All the other kids looked up to him. Be like him. Learn to fend for yourself and overcome adversity. If that 15 year old can do it...so can you.

I’ve been dealing with depression for the last year due to opioid addiction. I got to the point where I lost my Plumbing job that I only needed 2 months to get my license. Long story short I’m dead broke but I’m clean and just got my job Bk and been wanting to start bicycling after work. I’m always tired after work but I’m definitely a fighter. I’m gonna do it and I’m gonna hate that shit. Thanks joe thanks David. No more bullshit.
You can do it. I went cold turkey off of 16mg of Suboxone daily for 4 years. I suffered for almost a month of withdrawals but this man's story helped inspire me to change my mindset and I enjoyed the suffering I felt. 6 months later, I run miles every other day, I workout 5 days a week, quit smoking, and most importantly I'm still sober. I was a weakminded addict and I'm building myself up in every way I can think of every day. You can do anything you put your mind to. Believe in yourself and nothing will stop you!

The time flew by listening to this phenomenal podcast. I have the utmost respect for David his story is so damn impactful. Definitely makes ya want to be better
This is what I needed to hear, thank you Joe and goggins. I will start my weight loss journey today after many failed attempts, I am currently 180 at 16 aiming for 140-130
Goggins reminds me of my favorite Nietzsche quote: “To those human beings who are of any concern to me I wish suffering, desolation, sickness, ill-treatment, indignities-I wish that they should not remain unfamiliar with profound self-contempt, the torture of self-mistrust, the wretchedness of the vanquished: I have no pity for them, because I wish them the only thing that can prove today whether one is worth anything or not-that one endures.”
I was 330 pounds doing absolutely nothing with my life, hearing goggins life story gave me the motivation to do what I have always been to afraid to do. Right now I have passed basic training for the army and well on my way to becoming a army ranger and doing something that I would have never have thought I could ever do.
I played this podcast, decided to get out of bed, hit the gym, and I broke my depressing cycle and couldn't be more grateful for discovering this guy.

Most the time Rogan would cut off his guests but Rogan is scared of Goggins so he kept his mouth shut lol

I mean his story is in the book. It seems kinda redundant how everyone just asks him to tell the story over and over. I want to see him talk about some other things.
G M why would rogan be scared of goggins?
"I'm not gifted, I'm driven." That right there is the most real thing I have ever heard. Drive is the greatest attribute of successful people.
Isn't having a drive considered a gift maybe 🤔
What means driven? Sorry but i normally speak spanish
I believe drive is also a gift to a certain extent and part of peoples make up in combination with the environment they grow up in. Sure it can be tweaked but people need to be a little realistic.

He reads the comments on his Instagram. If you have it you could put this there.
I believe you will accomplish what you want

Matt Bab so RIGHT, with people MAKING HEROES out of mere ACTORS who do action movies. But people still love and idolize him for his ACTION movies.

True. The top comment right above yours is a nice coincidental proof of this. "I showed this to my *insert animal* and now it's a *insert larger animal*! Haha I'm so original!"

David Goggins ur a legend

you really need valium , xanax or clonazepam for the seizures and night restless legs and too sleep. it helps a lot. so take something for energy when you wake up like hydroxycut or herbal energy pills and try to exercise and sweat out toxins then at night take your sleep aids like clonazepam. THC /CBD drops help withdrawal also . good luck

But he wasn’t. We all aren’t until we are
Nah the only one
I'm a Brit but I spent 2 months recently in Texas helping to run a youth camp. One of the activities we did with the kids was to ask them to draw a timeline of their life and how happy they were during different points in their life.
As we were doing this exercise I notice one of the kids hiding under a desk and not really participating in the activity so I go over and ask him what was wrong.
He shows me his timeline and says,
"My dad killed himself before I was born so I started my line below 0 happiness. I've been raised by my mum since I was born."
That kid (15 years old at the time) was a leader throughout the two months I had the privelage of knowing him.
Nice.
Wow
Yes you need to learn to fend for yourself
But you need a strong male role model do not discount it
That boy clearly needs a father in his life
Joe Max it's unfair but it's better to make something for yourself than give up
Was the dinner cup noodle soups and koolaid?
I always come back to this when I need to get my life back on track
Agreed 👍
YES🔥
Exactly
Me? I listen to this all the time because I’m HARD

As Confucius said, “If you are the smartest person in the room, then you are in the wrong room.”
A problem joe rogan will never have.
@Stephen T only idiots brag about iq
That's why I listen to podcasts, so I'm not only hearing stupid, shallow conversations with my classmates
@@nullakjg767 If he was an unintelligent person, I doubt he would be interested in having all these intellects on his show, all the time, consistently.
Well im in the wrong fucking building
I’ve been dealing with depression for the last year due to opioid addiction. I got to the point where I lost my Plumbing job that I only needed 2 months to get my license. Long story short I’m dead broke but I’m clean and just got my job Bk and been wanting to start bicycling after work. I’m always tired after work but I’m definitely a fighter. I’m gonna do it and I’m gonna hate that shit. Thanks joe thanks David. No more bullshit.
Brian Hood get off dope FIRST. that needs to be your ONLY goal.
Stop bullshitting yourself.
Search for Rogan and Kratom. Kratom can help
Keep battling bro, I was there, tired from opioid addiction, keep moving forward! Try taking Kratom as a natural opioid replacement. Have energy and focus too.
Keep going bro!!!! Even now!!
I’m a the hospital after donating a kidney to my best friend and I’ve watched this like 5 times while recovering. Never gets old. This has got me through this hospital stay

you're a true hero, much respect brother.
i love how joe doesn’t interrupt anyone whatsoever, he’ll wait until they’ve completely finished talking to even mention anything, then when he does, he asks something to keep it flowing, i think that’s what sets him apart from other podcasts
I’m a fat alcoholic nobody. I need to change these things. And be the best father, my daughter deserves. I’m thankful for this motivation. What an incredible story.

Do David Goggins Tough Like The Toonz
Why hello there
This is what I needed to hear, thank you Joe and goggins. I will start my weight loss journey today after many failed attempts, I am currently 180 at 16 aiming for 140-130
Goggins reminds me of my favorite Nietzsche quote:
“To those human beings who are of any concern to me I wish suffering, desolation, sickness, ill-treatment, indignities-I wish that they should not remain unfamiliar with profound self-contempt, the torture of self-mistrust, the wretchedness of the vanquished: I have no pity for them, because I wish them the only thing that can prove today whether one is worth anything or not-that one endures.”
That's deep.. thanks for sharing 👍
I fucking love this quote and it’s my first time ever seeing it
That's hardcore dude. Lol.
I was 330 pounds doing absolutely nothing with my life, hearing goggins life story gave me the motivation to do what I have always been to afraid to do. Right now I have passed basic training for the army and well on my way to becoming a army ranger and doing something that I would have never have thought I could ever do.
Good on you man. So motivating to hear
👏👏👏
