I have been a member of the society for some time but I have to admit I prefer the ballads they sing. I have been a fan since early 1950s. Their harmony does not appeal to everybody unless you have the ear for it like I do.

Ron They and their harmony were the inspiration for the Beach boys and other groups for the last many decades but not everybody appreciates their singing. Some folks cannot understand harmony.

@@sparky16261 This is the 28th version that could thank Stan Kenton for it's original
success that began in the late 1950's. You have to say something very positive for this vocal group still performing. Recently you can see them on UA-cam Emmet's Place.

@@sparky16261the op is critical of the current “Four Freshmen,” not the originals. They were incredible. These guys are great on SOME songs, and decent at some, and fail others.
