The Four Freshmen--Official

Since 1948 the band has been delivering their unique approach to vocal harmony. Now it's 2023, and 75 years later the ensemble is still on the road, continuing a legacy while also keeping it FRESH!
A jazz vocal quartet with roots in barbershop, the Freshmen most often perform "self-contained," meaning the four singers accompany themselves, though the group does invite outside musicians from time to time, as well as perform with big bands and other smaller instrumental ensembles.
Most recently the group recorded the album The Four Freshmen Featuring Emmet Cohen, Russell Hall, and Kyle Poole, which can be found on all major streaming services.

I have been a member of the society for some time but I have to admit I prefer the ballads they sing. I have been a fan since early 1950s. Their harmony does not appeal to everybody unless you have the ear for it like I do.

Ron They and their harmony were the inspiration for the Beach boys and other groups for the last many decades but not everybody appreciates their singing. Some folks cannot understand harmony.
@@sparky16261 This is the 28th version that could thank Stan Kenton for it's original success that began in the late 1950's. You have to say something very positive for this vocal group still performing. Recently you can see them on UA-cam Emmet's Place.
