Maybe pav was called pav bcz it was & is made from foot at many places now pav making from foot (In Hindi feet it termed as pav) has stopped bcz of machines. actually, we're not sure. we tried something they call bhaji here in Goa, but after seeing the Maharashtrian pav bhaji photos... I think it might be a bit different...we'll have to try for a real Maharathi restaurant or cook! :) or cook it ourselves at home! 😋

I'm half maharashtrian :) and misal pav is actually famous there but pav bhaji is more famous and its epic :) you should give it a try..i just checked your videos now. Sorry, I didn't know you tried pav bhaji already 😅😅
Not so sure pav comes from 1/4. It might have come from pão, the Portuguese word for bread. And farsan is not sev, which is noodle-like, whether thick or thin.
Delivery is such a nice treat these days, especially since we can't go out as much. Love that it's wrapped in newspaper. Wow it comes with handwritten instructions. That's some love.

@@LifetimeTravelmates hehe Koreans yes..Spaniards not much (I have studied in Goa so seen max no of tourists there)..Kharvas is best eaten homemade vor max at restaurant (the one from which you got missal may have it on their menu as it's an Maharashtrian dessert) - basically a dessert - pudding kind of made from progesterone (first yellow milk of cow/buffalo who has just given birth) very protein rich milk..steamed with cardamom, sugar, etc and steamed..Worth a try (don't try if you guys are lactose intolerant). It's completely different from Mysore Pak..and it's not branded and packed anywhere. Alternatively try vada pav, pav Bhaji, dabeli, sev puri (pan puri you have made already this is also similar)...

@@LifetimeTravelmates hehe Koreans yes..Spaniards not much (I have studied in Goa so seen max no of tourists there)..Kharvas is best eaten homemade vor max at restaurant (the one from which you got missal may have it on their menu as it's an Maharashtrian dessert) - basically a dessert - pudding kind of made from progesterone (first yellow milk of cow/buffalo who has just given birth) very protein rich milk..steamed with cardamom, sugar, etc and steamed..Worth a try (don't try if you guys are lactose intolerant). It's completely different from Mysore Pak..and it's not branded and packed anywhere.
Alternatively try vada pav, pav Bhaji, dabeli, sev puri (pan puri you have made already this is also similar)...
