- Today I want to show you our reaction to the famous Misal Pav, a dish that is a original in Maharashtra and is just delicious. It is eaten for breakfast mostly, but you can also have it for lunch or for dinner. We did like all kinds of Indian food so far, will this be part of the list for us? Let's find out.

I like Swiss family’s simplicity. Rather than fancy restaurants & luxury hotel , they are doing everything everything in middle class Indian way….
Love your simplicity 👍🏻
I never do fancy yes
There is beauty in simplicity .
My sincere respect and appreciation to your wife for handling 3 children while traveling 🙏. You are the most luckiest person to have such an understanding wife in life. May god bless your family always with good health and happiness.
My wife is only handling three kids when I am filming, other than that of course not. I am doing an equal amount with the kids.
@@yvesthesleeve I understand that, Kudos to both of you.
@@yvesthesleeve vada pav/ misal is marathi dear and everything you will find in konkan is marathi.
My regards to you and your wife and love to your kids.
SHE LOOKS LIKE AN INDIAN WIFE...!
There is fort called "Sindhudurg" In Malvan. This fort built by Marathi king Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in 1700. You can visit this fort.
I saw it from afar but there were so many people waiting for the boats
@@yvesthesleeve you must visit the fort...
It has great significance on the History. A fort that was never conquered and how a Brilliant King Chatrapati Shivaji have built it.... he was the one who stood between the Country becoming a Muslim region. How he over threw the mighty Mughals who were almost 5 times stronger and had been ruling for 150 years is worth an Info to hv in world history. And that fort right there had a significant role..... It is still a work of sheer class and secrete how they carried so many huge Stones through the wild unstable sea waters.
@@prasadacharekar8219 Also there are high walls built all around the fort at sea bed to protect fort from large British and Mughal ships.
If u go to dandi beach in malwan it's the closest to sindhudurg fort.. Scuba diving is mostly done near the fort coz the water is clean at the end
You are hitting on the right things to eat in each region you visit .. 😋
Thanks, I am glad

@@yvesthesleeve be positive and be patient
@@yvesthesleeve I am also surprised to see that. I really like watching your videos. Can it be some youtube algorithm? May be your videos are not showing up easily. Your videos till Udupi has good number of views.
There is one more vlogging couple currently in India. Their views also came down suddenly. Not sure what is the logic behind it.
@@sanketj8724 another couple channel link please
If you are going to Pune or Nasik, please try the Poha and “sample”. Sample is the name given to a kind of topping sauce poured on the poha.
Has someone already mentioned this to you - the pav in pav bhaji and other such foods is from Portuguese “”pao” for bread. And has the same root as the French word for bread, “pain.”
Moonshine - Marathi and Hindi both use the same Devnagiri script. So it’s not surprising you’re not able to distinguish between them from just the script.
Missal is a curry of sprouted lentils. Actually the curry is called ussal and with toppings such as chopped onions coriander n Sev it's called missal which means mixture
thanks
@@yvesthesleeve most welcome sir. If you're still in Malvan do visit Chivla beach and eat at BAMBOO The fish thali is simply amazing

@@yvesthesleeve no sir i m not mate...i use word lovely only in respect ...
Misal is a Maharashtrian breakfast. You should have yogurt after eating the spicy food or even something like Kokum drink (good digestives), which you did find unique your in previous video.
Sounds great!
Delicious breakfast & Nice Beach👍👍. The wooden sticks that the lady was selling is liquorice root. It is an anti inflammatory & treats other ailments. You can suck on the end of it or remove some of the bark & dip in a mug of hot water to make a tea. Not to be 'Over used' as there are side effects.☘😃.
Ah okay, good to know
bro, you should visit TAPOLA it's very close to you and people call it little Kashmir. you can consult any man there and he will help you reach there. You do not need to go anywhere separately, when you go from Kokan to Mumbai, you will see this place on the way.
thanks
Great adventure I love it ❤😊

Moonshine that is sandalwood , mainly used in hindu rituals for doing pooja n for tilak on head as it's a symbol of holiness n brings positive energy around , nowadays it's used for cosmetic purpose also to bring glow n shine to your skin , it's very costly though .
Misal Pav is actually the best dish in the world for me. I hope they served it with a slice of lemon. Also the onions are traditionally served to beat the heat.
It is a really good dish
That's drum stick the green long stick vegetable and kokam is fruit used to makesharbet
Yes, that is it, thanks
welcome to my village malvan thanks sir
Onions are very good in hot weather
Yes they are, also good for digestion.
That's good you should spend more days to Maharashtra and explore same other parts of Maharashtra.
Please visit Saoner Nagpur
I'm so excited when you will visit 💗💗😊💗 to Saoner City.
It a Pure Maharashtra Food Sir!!
Yes, I have not seen it anywhere else.
The bread with lentil soup/curry look delicious. In Malaysia, samosa is called curry puff, some Malaysian eat with onions too, but pickled onions. When you ask the locals to get info on the food (in this case misal pav), hope you will show in the video in future. It would be interesting to see your interaction with the locals.
Samosas are also found in Malaysia, mostly at Indian restaurants.
u r trying the pure veg maharashtrian thali of Puran Poli with Veg Aamti , With Kurdai , papad, Basundi.
I like a lot
Misal Pav is maharashtrian dish, it eat all over maharashtra... but it authentic dish from Ghat region cities like Pune, Nashik, Satara, Kolhapur where the main ingredient-Moth beans of Misal pav grow... Konkan region which like Malvan, ratnagiri doen't grows Moth beans because of its weather and red soil...
Interesting !
That Prayer is Maharashtra Bhajjan( Prayer Offered to God)
Lovely... Missal means mixture.. its a lovely mixture of all kind of stuff, you will find it different in taste as you travel further in other places of Maharashtra. its spicy . enjoy tc
I was wondering what it means actually....
That fort name is sindhudurga fort sindhu means sea and durga means fort. That fort in on the sea , if you are around you should visit two grt forts of maharsatra built on mid sea. One is sindhu durga another is janjira fort. Janjira fort is more famous and must visit place.
Kokam is ancient fruit for stomach digestion, fishes gravies, skin
You are in malvan ( kokan) is famous for delicious mangoes sea food, bithes you can explore Malvan , devgad tarkarli bitch many resorts & home stay available in malvan
Welcome to Maharashtra and specially in Kokan
thanks
After seeing your video I will visit Malvan
I hope you have found enough dishes that you like. You can start a world best restaurant. 😀
crispy thing which you ate is called SHEV. It is a nudie like thing fried lentil flour in small strings.
Your children is best
That Sindhudurg fort has a great historical significance. Maharashtra has more than 300 forts. Most of them built by the Maratha king Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. He and his next 2 generations ended the Islamic rule in India. He is one of the most respected kings all over India. In Ratnagiri you will find another fort called Ratnadurga Fort.
Both Misal and Vadapav are authentic Maharashtrian food. Vadapav is staple food in Mumbai and Misal is in Pune. As you rightly said taste and ingredients of Misal are different in all parts of Maharashtra. Konkan is famous for its seafood and Mangoes.
The houses are similar in Goa and Konkan mainly due to very heavy rainfall during Monsoon. The roofs are specifically designed to avoid waterlogging on top of the house and protect from leakage
Just a info that pav bhaji and misal pav both are actually from Mumbai
Anything indian with pav was invented in Mumbai
