@@kangzchan5253 fungal shift is a random thing which presumably is controlled by your seed, or at least somewhat is, when you ingest enough fungus you can do a fungal shift, the game randomly selects a substance I believe to either transform into something else, or to transform something into it, in this case in this seed he discovered the first shift was smoke to fungus, you can’t control it, to my knowledge at least, he just knew that the first shift was smoke to fungus
@@kangzchan5253 It is determined by the seed (same seed -> same shift) HOWEVER you can affect it by holding a flask (or pouch) of any material in which case you have a 75% chance to alter the original transformation. For instance, imagine the first fungal shift for a seed is [water] => [lava] (not very... _poggies_ if you ask me) But before the shift happens, you hold a flask of worm blood, so the shift changes to [water] => [worm blood] (far more useful)
"Oh dang, I can't do that fun thing because I don't have explosion resistance..." *Me internally screaming because I noticed corpse explosion gives resistance and I want to see all the big booms*
@@kenziebalhatchet3918 The only explosive affecting perk that doesn't give immunity is the "Revenge explosion" which iirc gives you 20% resistance. The others give you full immunity.
Cool thing you can do with filling teleportatium flasks in that situation is just walk outside of the loading zone and come back and the flask will reset to the upright position allowing you to fill it with ease!
Oh, I know. I may have just been distracted or whatever if I said anything about being worried about exploding myself after I picked up that perk. This recording was done late, late last night.

Regarding your comment about the game performance and a console version: all that matter is the CPU as the game is not GPU-accelerated. I am not sure about how the performance scales with the core count. It would probably work on PS5 and Xbox Series but certainly not on older Jaguar CPU (PS4/Xbox One).
Watching you play this is absolutely insane. I can never really manage to get a wand that just chews through walls like that. Or anything that broken. And then I just die to some nonsense at the jungle or sooner, because I don't have the firepower to take anything on. And when I see a wand, I take like 5 minutes going through all the stats and spells before I can guess if it's any good or if I die the second I cast it.
I found a seed with a bunch of spells right under the stairs at the start -> 130453669 -> *Ground to sand/Gold to Power/Expanding Sphere/Touch of Gold* It is also a smells like soil biome It also has the fire rock and the lightning rock, and spawns worms that ate their way between floors 1 and 2. Looks like a solid seed if you can get far enough in it, second temple has a chainsaw, there are a bunch of trigger spells, and some double casts. I imagine if you get a long run going, you can turn everything to gold or do a shit ton of damage from having a lot of gold.

I think, I am not 100%, I am also just learning Finnish (though for a much more different reason) Because "some" indicates that there are only part of all the witches. Where as Noidat would be implying that all the witches want to watch the world burn. That said I am only learning Finnish too, I can barely hold a conversation! The Finnish grammar is quite insane XD

Unstable Crystals can blow up rocks if you stack up three to five of them in the same spot then shoot it. I think its also good for killing enemies with 50-150 health
Man that filter they used for the fungal shift is a little too spot on if you've ever tried shrooms. It actually shocked me a little the first time I saw it because it's more accurate than anything I've seen in movies. I wonder if a particular fungus played a role in inspiring this game?
Recently got a More Blood, Fire Immunity at Hiisi Base and that was already a pretty terrible, constant streak of arson, but this is literally just turning the world into hell.
Interesting, I'm glad someone likes those runs. I find it my least favourable starting second-spell. I prefer dynamite by far for utility at getting through dead ends early on, and for it's ability to give you immediate access to the sky altar orb immediately as you start the game (and also the pyramid orb, as you can get up over the mountain instantly with the dynamite.)
Nope. It's a mystery that none of us have been able to solve yet. I've tried filling it with a lot of things and bringing a lot of things there (including bosses and enemies). On some days, it spawns with Void Liquid inside, which completely destroys it instantly. On other days, it's empty. The entire room is filled with sand and has a strange visual effect layered over it. Oh, and the entire room generates from the game engine, on the fly, when you get close and *does not* generate if you have any mods enabled. If you generate it and *then* turn on mods, then the background (which shows a blank tablet, so we're assuming glyphs/writing will appear there when this is solved) vanishes. This and the eye glyphs are the two mysteries that we know of that are completely unsolved.
Oh boy, a day ago I shifted smoke into something I don't even know what, but every time fire contacted with water the fire won't stop and more water was produced... I was running from the flood from the first floor to the third but I couldn't outrun it. I love this game
In the video you didnt want to pick up the Nuke Orbit spell because you thought that you was not immune to explosion, but im pretty sure Exploding Corpses gives you immunity to explosions

i remember hearing about a guy who had smoke turn into peat, i feel this is worse due to the fungus being able to make such massive burning spires into the sky but having infinite rivers of burning peat sounds quite bad as well.

So if you hold a flask, there is a chance to control the shift slightly but which half of the shift changes to whats in the flask? Like if you had a seed where you knew the first shift was lava to water and you held a flask of fungus, which substance changes or is that part random also? Don't fungal shift that one, it shifts fungus to poison as the first one, aka its impossible to fungus shift again and the fungal mines are impossible to move through.
This seed is even better now, instead of fungal shifting smoke into shrooms, it shifts WATER into shrooms. Edit: No wait, no it still works, its just a flask shift as the first one, hence the water shift. Gotta drop your flask before doing it. (reran it and got smoke)

I rather think the controls may be a concern. Aiming and editing your wands with a controller sounds tedious.

Noita on console sounds like a strategy to be the first guy to produce a game that naturally lags on a console.
I love starting with Unstable Crystal, I see them as the start of Good Runs. Throw one into a big cluster of spiders in the mines, you're quids in.
Finally, a kindred spirit. If you hold onto it long enough to put short-range homing on it, it gets hilarious.

Yes it is vanilla it spawns them when you get the "you feel cozy" thingwhen entering a biome
With that shift of blood to lava, that blood spell and alpha, yah could've had an infinite spout of lava too, seems fitting :D
