One thing I've been saying about the Mighty B in the past few years is that, if it managed to come out today, the internet would stan Bessie in the same way they did with Marcy Wu or Luz Noceda.
The show really was ahead of its time, man.
I never realized how much bessie reminded me of Luz if not just a little more unhinged
Mighty B is one of those shows I felt embarrassed by enjoying as a kid
Kinda same but I don't recall having ever talked to anyone about it.
i feel u
same
fr
@@juandiegotorres9632Same, anytime someone entered the room while it was on, I’d change the channel
Mighty B is so underrated. Just like Kick Buttowski.
"An annoying character that doesn't annoy the audience." I have to agree. She didn't get to me as much as I expected. The pilot convinced me to tune in to every episode I could
I always loved this show, it's so underrated. Thanks for showing it some love and recognition.
I love the show too. Don't know why everyone is so ill about it. I get it. It's gross. But if you don't like gross out humor why watch?
That freaking theme song has been stuck in my head for years
Nicktoons had some underrated gems like Mighty B, Kappa Mikey, Voltron, etc.
KAPPA MIKEY!!!!😃😃 and Sky Land too
Three Delivery 🔥
@@jacobsunday6561 don't forget Secret Show
@@jacobsunday6561bro I used to think Three delivery was a fever dream at 3am at my grandparents. Such a good show
Kappa mikey is goated
I didn't realize how rich bessie's mom is. Not only do they live in expensive ass sf but she has her own shop
In San Francisco of all places
I enjoyed the show well enough. It was fun to see a goofy girl and her buddy in scouts like camp lazlo.
This show was heavily under appreciated. The Kajolica ( Name shame ) episode is one the funniest cartoon episodes of all time imo. The ending still makes me laugh so hard after 15years man.
Loved the show back in the day. The show was so well animated, they even had artists from Teenage Robot
That always seemed pretty obvious to me😂.
My life as a teenage robot was one of my favorites
as a transgender man, Bessie was one of the few characters I could relate to as a kid. I was 8 when the show came out & very confused about who I was. Meanwhile Bee was a weird girl who was unabashedly herself who even saw herself as a HUGELY muscular superhero. She was unconcerned with her gender performance. She was friendly, she was kind, she was clever, and she still had trouble making friends with kids her age! She was the first time I saw a character and said "yo she's just like me fr."
Literally the main emotion I felt while watching this was "wow I didn't realize this as a kid but Bessie is such a transmasc icon" lol
Mighty B was very underrated. Funny episodes and a talented cast. I wish it could have gotten a true ending.
"If snoopy was raised in the ghetto and had to fend for himself" 🤣🤣🤣
I watched this show faithfully when I was younger!
This is one of those shows that I remember seeing as a kid, but have little to no memory of it.
If out of context clips on Twitter are anything to go by, this show was wild
Same here. I just remember bits and pieces of it. Seems vague
That bowling episode was peak
Another gem of a show back in the day! Do you happen to remember Catscratch from then too?
I’m literally watching this during my lunch break…at food Lion
Omg when u described the opening scene of Bee, it made me think of how Moon Girl does a lot of similar things! Although I do prefer MGADD art style a lot more
i remember finding out about this show bc Nickelodeon had a limited edition magazine. full of info about the process of making mighty b, facts about the creator, and badges to promote it. i bought at Walmart as a kid. I absolutely loved it and saw myself in Bessie. it sucks no one really talks about mighty b.
I feel like you unlocked some hidden memories with this one. I absolutely remember the show and the pilot episode. I remember that it was one of my favorite shows. Now I'm thinking about introducing it to my nieces.
I was so glad to rewatch the show recently and it was just as good as i remembered
i was waiting for someone to just talk about mighty b, it was definitely one of my favorite cartoons as a kid
I don't know why I saw flawful but I do love this show
14 minutes in
Wdu think of the Back at the Barnyard pilot?
Omgggg I loved Mighty B🐝🐝💛🖤
this show was a much fun. i remember when they just threw it on nicktoons one day and has no new ep. think it was around the same time making fiends was airing?
Completely forgot about this show until now, but watching this video made me remember how much I enjoyed it as a kid!
Moon Girl giving Mighty B energy is not the take I expected to hear or agree with this morning, and yet-
Oh snap! I remember seeing that clip last week. The part where the dog turns into a rat when zoomed up close and Portia's freaking out. I always knew it was from this show, but I didn't know it was from the pilot!
I'd love more content on this. I grew up with the show and really adored it!
Yay I’ve been waiting for this one ✨
Moon Girl is fantastic I love that show.
Is it just me or does that old NickToons announcer makes the bumper to every show sound so badass? 😂 W video
ABSOLUTELY one of my favorite shows of my childhood. Favorite moments include her sliding off the diner stool and the whole place thinking she farted, the deodorant, and ESPECIALLY the immune system/body journey episode. That last episode stands out a lot because I was on a family vacation with my aunts and uncles and their families as well all pitching together for a massive cabin in the woods for a week and I ended up alone inside watching that episode on the MASSIVE tv that was the size of a typical bedroom wall lmao
Also the same vacation that I was told to cover my eyes during the split second of the Dark Knight pencil scene memories are fun also this video was amazing and im very zoooted
I was never a fan of this show, but one good episode was when Happy was trying to find his mom. But now watching this review, I really appreciate the animation style and humor. Man, I really miss cell drawn animation. Also, does Ben remind anyone of Tucker from MLAATR?
I remember that one actually
This show wasn't made with cel animation, it was hand drawn, but used digital ink and paint.
@@spongebobrocks1187 Yeah, you're right - even season 3 of Spongebob used that method I think. I just really miss the imperfections that older animation had 😭. cartoons now adays either looks "too fluid" and not in a charming way or too stilted. But it could be because I grew up in a different time than kids today
I quote that part all the time, too! I just wish i didn't have to explain it all the time 💔
Mighty B was my shit growing up ngl Idc who didn’t like it in the 4th grade this was my shit💯🤷🏽♂️
“ Take the cake, Wash your face. Moonlight river toilet cake! “
absolutely loved this show! glad someone finally did a bit of covering on it :D was definitely one of the most underrated nick cartoons
I was watching this just last month, it was such a fun show, I loved it as a kid
I loved the Mighty B, I always thought it was really good.
Oh my Gwad please do a review this show! I remember the pilot and the whole series. And thank you for that scene, I laughed so fucking hard and it made me want to rewatch the show💛
This show is honestly so underrated. I remember this episode VIVIDLY bc I saw it when it came out and would rewatch it whenever it came on waiting for the next episode, then watching those two over and over until the next one, etc. It would be really cool if you talked about the series as a whole!
It would be so cool if you talked about R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour: Don’t Think About It!!! It would come on every halloween and I remember loving it but also being genuinely terrified after watching it lol
this was one of my favorite childhood shows. the dragonflies special was an EVENT in my household
Amy Poehler based Bessie on a character she did on Upright Citizens Brigade, an overexcited Girl Scout who in one sketch knocks on the Unabomber's cabin and tries to sell him cookies.
I love it when you get a proper pilot/origin to a show. I remember watching Danny Phantom when it came out and being disappointed that it didn't give us the story told in the theme song. Based on the other Butch Hartman shows I've seen, Fairly Odd Parents has a proper pilot from season 0, and so does T.U.F.F Puppy. Not a lot of shows really needed one like SpongeBob, Wizards of Waverly Place, or Zack and Cody, but finding out shows like Danny Phantom, Kim Possible, or That's So Raven don't really having that "starter" episode kind of bums me out.
The fake honey episode was so damn good. And the episode about the teddy bear being evil scared the hell out of me as a kid
I remember so much more of the pilot than I thought I would!! The animation is a lot more charming than I realized as a kid though lol
The Mighty B was without a doubt my favorite Nickelodeon cartoon of all time. The off the wall and random humor was the reason I was so enamored with this show. It's a real shame that it didn't go on longer than two seasons.
An all time favorite Nickelodeon show of mine! I rewatched the entire series a few years ago and it was very fulfilling 😊
I used to sing Runnin with the Rainbow Unicorn ALL the time!!! This was one of my absolute favorite shows!!!
i totally forgot about this show, but i used to like it a lot
this episode was (and still is) some of the funniest shit to me 💀
The mighty b is probably the most underrated nick show I’ve seen
Would love to see a video about the series in whole!! I loved this show as a kid but i
I never knew anyone else who watched it
I completely forgot about this show! I used to love it.
I am ngl I decided to start going by Bessie (nowhere near my real name) about 4 years ago, and now you have me wondering if it was this show that planted the seed for this in my subconscious...... great bessies think alike i guess?
this show was a major part of my childhood, it's great to see it getting some much needed attention
please do videos of the entire show 🫶🥹
I remember mighty b.
i always loved this show im gald people finaly see it as good as i did now
I'd love the show because to me, it felt like a love song to older nick toons. I definitely got hints of ren and Stimpy and rocko modern life in the show
I've always loved The Mighty B, my brother hated it though 😅
I loved mighty B, but the quality of the overall show did change a lot. But when a joke would land this was one of the funniest shows in its day
Mighty B's pilot is goated
Will always remember Rocky's: "Ohh-" when the rat was discovered 🤣
This perfectly explains why The Mighty B! was such an underappreciated show.
i loved the mighty bee, i watched when it aired the pilot and the episodes following but it was always hard to find it playing on tv at the time idk why, i loved the characters and it was really funny
I remember my mom realy enjoying this show. Me not so much, probably because I saw it on Nicktoons and didn't think Nick would give it the space to grow.
I liked Mighty B when I was q kid. It was the first time I actually liked anything with Amy Poehler in it.
I always thought Mighty B was pretty good.
i really hope you do more episodes on this show. the mighty b came out when i was old enough to know who amy poehler was from snl and i still absolutely adored it, so i’m glad i’m not the only one 😅
I've never known this show at all, but I really enjoyed this video and I want a review of the entire series! I'm new here, do you have a video on the Kidz Next Door?
😅nvm i just went to your channel and realized you have 20 videos . I've watched like 15 of them so I'm going to watch the rest and wait for that Kidz next door vid
My Personal Favorite Pilot Episode is the Season 1 Combination Episode of Garfield and Friends:
Peace and Quiet/ Wanted Wade/Garfield Goes Hawaiian
This Pilot Episode is WILDLY fantasic, with the child-like colored backgrounds and character designs with the iconic theme songs and quickies being inserted as a staple of the cartoon, with the setup of Two Garfield Segments and One U.S. Acres Segment smack-dabbed in the middle of the episode. Speaking of the characters, the set-up of the iconic cast of characters is phenomenal with the introduction of Jon Arbuckle, and Odie with Garfield as the main "protagonist" with other wacky characters like Binky The Clown, Nermal, etc. as well as the introduction to Orson and his Farm Animal Friends the fearful Wade, the chill Bo, the temper-active Lanolin, the two funny characters Booker and Sheldon, and the playful mischevious prankster Roy Rooster.
Another introduction to the series, is musical segments that play as sort of "life-lessons" in the cartoon as cindication was pushing for more educational type cartoons which was actually a genius move, it was like combining a plethora of genres from playful joy types to exsetiencial-dread types. Many of the song cues throughout the show we're a personal favorite of mines the one I most connect with is "Cartoons are Terrific" as I was starting to rewatch the show whenever I was by myself, and I liked the sort of world that the characters lived in, even a technique I took from the series was using my Imagination.
Whenever Orson was reading a book or something was wrong with the weather, he would always use his imagination as an escape from the monotonus world of reality, for example; in the episode Winter Wonderland, he uses his imagination to dream up a Summertime environment as an escape from the Winter that was plaguing the farmside. When it was a cold rainy night for me, I was shivering cold until I kept murmuring to myself at Coney Island Beach on a hot summer day, with the heat beaming down onto the sand with the water waves crashing onto the shore, which actually helped me relieve the cold temperatures of the night.
The TL;DR of this is that I personally suggest anyone who is totally unfamiliar with the cartoon to give it a watch on Tubi TV and watch it from start to finish, and even support Garfield esc communitys online such as the channel @HiddenAcres which has compiled clips of U.S. Acres Segments and the beauty of hilarious episodes, scenes and quotes as well as Garfield ones that can make even a man laugh.
Sting all enemies to death, suzumebachi
The mighty B looks like a cartoon version of Sue Heck from the middle.
Personally I think Mabel from gravity falls fits that description more
you should make a video about wayside school, such an underground masterpiece
You can see the SpongeBob parallels. The show was created by the people who made SpongeBob at the time. I just remember that from the commercial for the show in 2008.
I still remember when this show first came out🥲 Can you please do a video about Naked Brothers band? It seems like everyone forgot that show or it's never talked about in these nostalgic childhood tv videos/channels. I was obsessed.
I remember watching mighty B as a kid and felt such a strong connection to bessie. I grew up kind of a weird but very devoted and extroverted kid, so it was nice to see a character that felt like me get to be a main character of such a fun show
I really liked mighty b as a kid and still do now
Sleeper hit show honestly.
Favorite episode has to be when bessie goes god mode beating sone merd at a video game and starts levitating and produces a shockwave blast across the room
I use to love watching Mighty B! I believe I would watch it everyday. One day, I didn't see the show air for a while and I was confused. I think I told one of my parents about it and told me that they may have stopped making episodes. I was pretty sad about it for a few days but I watched other Nickelodeon shows like Back at the Barnyard and Fairly Odd Parents 😊
so crazy i randomly rewatched this show the other night
I loved this show. It was under-rated
Another show that was cancelled because it was consistently viewed by the wrong demographic.
I got the two whole seasons on DVD many years ago XD
I LOVE this show. Please review the whole series! :)
6:58 Happens more frequently in the second season.
I noticed that Ben and Rodney’s designs are references to Cubert and Dwight from Futurama.
Aww I loved The Mighty B growing up! No one ever talks about it!!
I loved this show SO MUCH
I didnt watch Mighty B in years its still good bro
I still to this day sing pretty pretty princess because of this show
I remember this show watching on NickToons when I was little I think it was reruns back in 2014
More mighty b breakdowns!!!
I’d like the mighty b! Is it awesome How long is Cartoon Network boomerang and SpongeBob Ben 10 and [adult swim🤩👍👍👍👍👍
The zucchini and Portia’s birthday party episodes were the best
