This is incredible! My one small gripe with mgs v was the lack of real weapons. MGS is known for its realism with firearms and I'm so glad to see this!

Impressive work, Boss! Not only did you make the guns real (and thus consistent with the other Metal Gear games) you even included a few fan favourites like the custom M1911 and the SOCOM! This has given me an incentive to reinstall MGSV.
Damn , this is absolutely beautiful! It was wierd how MGSV had kitbashed unrealistic weapons when previous titles had accurate and real weapons (aside from the MGS4 Bizon having AKS-74u front sights)
But at the same time it never made sense for the MGS saga to have real guns with such outdated tech in a world filled with mechas and super weapons lol

apparently Kojima and his team ran out money to pay the names and for the appearanes i learned somewhere that he wanted to modify the guns to reinforce the anti-war theme of MGSV
It's like a wound deep in my soul has been healed seeing all these in game. The different camos doing stuff like folding the stock on the SPAS-12 is pretty neat too
Jim, you are a *HERO* for making this mod. What is particularly eye-grabbing about this is that you not only replaced the guns with IRL versions, but you gave VARIETY to them too. Been wanting to film some videos with MGSV, but the key thing holding back getting started was waiting the arrival of this mod. With this preview, the wait is worth it. Thank you for giving MGSV something that it needed to help it fit in better with the other chapters of Metal Gear.
Just watched through the whole video. Every gun model used to replace the original is exactly what I would have chose. Perfect fit for the time period and accessories are modeled wonderfully. Thank you for all your hard work.
Love everything but the water pistol. In game it's realistic enough that in the dark or at first glance, it seems like a real gun so you can hold up guards. Having it look like a super soaker is a little much lol Incredibly well done all around

This could become the greatest mod for mgsv! The effort and time just to get here might be huge and it's still not done! 😮 The grade 5 Wu S replacment should've had the Inf silencer too.
My only complaint is some of these are anachronistic to the time period but it's so well done as a mod that I can live with it. For instance instead of a G36 I would've used an HK33/53. Also I'm sad there isn't an option for a Colt 723/727, I think it would look really cool in this thing especially if it was modeled after the ones you see in Black Hawk Down but with a period correct optic and light
I really like the Damocles mod and its ability to hot-swap rifle scopes. And this, by the way☝, happened before it appeared in BF2042. True, there is also a change in silencers and types of bullets. But for BF2 this is not so important, although I think it is a matter of modders’ interest to introduce such an opportunity into the game. Perhaps I didn’t follow, and in your mod there seems to be an option to put a silencer on a weapon, if I’m not mistaken. By the way, your mod also has hot-swappable sights and it’s done much more beautifully than in the Damocles mod, for which I can’t help but praise you.👋
Beautiful mod. Love all these firearms. Only thing I noticed was in the description the L1A1 is 7.62x51, not 7.62x39. But for gameplay reasons it makes no difference.
I can’t wait for the zeta port, I’m having issues where the stoner and the 0 credit guns aren’t showing up and I’m really excited for when I can use the mgs guns with yours
Dude, this is fucking nuts. I am humbled by how impressive this mod is. My only really minor gripe with it is that you should have used the M-47 Dragon instead of the FGM-148 Javelin for the portable ATGM role.
How this hasn’t been done years ago I don’t think I’ll ever know amazing job! There’s a few anachronisms, but I’m pretty sure other mgs games have those issues as well. There is one mistake I’ve noticed though. For the FAL type rifles, you have it say they’re 7.62x39(standard ak47, akm cartridge), when actually they’re 7.62x51 nato. Other than that I’m very happy to see this released! Excellent work!
Any way or anyone know how to remove the AR-50a1 from mod pack thats the SERVAL AMR-7 I wanna use this one instead it has a bigger mag. AR-50a1 is a one shot.
I don’t think I’ve ever been so hyped for a mod before! Quick kind of odd question, will the Soviet NPC’s be equipped with AK-74’s with muzzle brakes or without muzzle brakes like the tier 1 AK-74 here?
They look absolutely amazing. Glad to see all the hard work seems to have paid off. I've put off replaying MGSV until this releases. Might seem trivial but to me the lack of real weapon models and names bothers me so much. Will definitely find time to replay the game when this comes out
