You can still knock out quiet with the supply drop you just have to do it twice and mark her first before doing both times
To keep quiet from moving around while your waiting for supply drop to land on her, just keep bobbing your head up and down so she she fires at you and misses. She wont change her position because she knows your still there. Just Got all objective boxes ticked off lastnight.
Pro tip: don't waste your suppressor on a bird.

I always wondered what sort of chaos ensued at Mother Base after you extract a fully running tank via wormhole, and it just appears with everyone in it still readying the cannon prepared to light the base up.

Actual pro tip: Fulton extracting soldiers with D-dog doesn't take GMP and you can fulton infinite soldiers (it hasn't been patched in 2021)
I think that was the intention, but it is pretty broken.
Another actual pro-tip: deploy with the cheapest setting for D-Walker; change its equipment without losing any GMP.

I'm surprised that you didn't mention setting sleep gas mine traps. Turn off the power to an outpost, then put a sleep gas mine in front of the switch. Someone will always be sent to check on it, and it stealthily takes care of one guard and ensures the power stays off without sending the base into alert like if you destroyed it.

Better to turn it off wait for the guard nab him then turn it on wait a few seconds then turn It off again and repeat.
Turn off the power, put him to sleep, then take it out to ensure it stays off with no alerts

One I found immensely useful during a subsistence mission was to neutralize a riot suit solider, put them on my shoulders, and use them as a near unbreakable shield while I ran from sakra e village

I was doing C2W subsistence and i CQC'd a guard who had a Killer Bee and i carried it out of the camp then i shot the communications room from far away with it then with a short run i made it out of the hot zone and got a juicy S

The last one though with the helicopter it should be made known that not just any sniper rifle will work, only the higher tier rifles have the penetration power to punch through and hit the pilot inside as the glass is very bullet resistant and only rifles like Anti-Material rifles can pack the necessary kick to punch through otherwise bullets will just bounce right off.
I found that out first hand when I alerted a chopper for the first time, the first thing that came to mind was sniping the pilot but despite repeated dead on shots on the pilot my bullets just could not get through.

+edepot Back near the beginning of the game with the first few rifles that were available at that time, no matter what I did my bullets would not penetrate the cockpit. I have read posts about people using lower tier rifles but having to fire several shots at the cockpit before the glass would finally break, making the pilot exposed to attack.
Aim for the faces of the top pilot. Also, aim from the front, not the sides. I may make another video showing all the possibilities, but for now, the video shows exactly where to aim that worked. You should get a "Headshot" message when successful.
+edepot I think he's right cause I've also gotten fatal accurate shots and nothing with the earlier snipers. I haven't used a higher tier rifle yet tho.

I'm a little late to the party, but once you unlock silencers for the weapon type (say, snipers, as an example), you get a suppressor for the M2000 first, you can customize your tranq sniper to get a suppressor long before you'd normally unlock.
Even later for the party. You can do that for shotguns too. Mine stun shotgun has a silencer from the DMG version hehe
Tip#26 use the delivery box system to fast travel between outposts(equip cardboard box and stand on those yellow platforms you see at major outposts and hold X

The method of the supply drop for Quiet still works but it requires a little more finesse and caution. The trick to it is that once the supply drop has been requested, you have to periodically peek out from cover, so that she has a visual on you. As soon as she has sight of you, go back to cover. She prioritizes her visual on you over what's going on above her. Keep doing that until the supply drop lands. Do that twice and you're good to go.

I never knew about the water pistol disabling the comms equipment! I always hated going loud with grenades or c4
Water Pistol is borderline overpowered. It fries any electrical equipment, puts out fires (both from threats or as lights), creates a sound to distract guards (doesn't leave a trace like magazines), stuns guards for a few seconds, holds up guards, stuns skulls, and even defeat The Man on Fire (takes 80 shots though, so good luck there). It's also permanently silent.
dont use water pistol, use the petrol bomb on comms equipment because the petrol bomb instantly destroys comms equipment.

Wolfskii no the molotov cocktail isn't noisy the guards don't hear anything from it never been caught using it to destroy comms equipment and even there generators too and the bigger power supply with the fence around them too knocks them out gotta throw it directly at the switch on the big power supplies with the locked doors though the little generators just throw it at the generator and it kills it

Use in game item
Don't forget that you can knock out guards in vehicles (trucks and jeeps) with weapons. Shoot out the back tire (don't do the front with an AMR sniper, because the engine will blow up lol), and the guards inside will soon swerve and crash, knocking them out! Then you Fulton a vehicle and 2-3 guards in one go. Don't know if this works for armored vehicles...

ferrari justice it doesn't work on the replay, hard version of that mission. on the first one-mission 11 if memory serves correctly, it works fine.

Pro-tip 26 :Don't eat Miller's burger
Chemical burguer? Code talker says its perfect, just not very likely to look at
Minor tip/trick but it's worth mentioning. You can dive up and down stairs. Extremely useful if in a rush to go up stairs because if you dive up, you will actually make it all the way up on most sets of stairs. If you get good at timing, you can even use this on spiral stairs to make very good time. Useful on FOBs and such. Not sure if there's less exposure doing this versus running up the stairs but I would expect so.
You can throw as many guards as you want in the back of a truck and extract them with 1 Fulton. Just make sure you place the Fulton at a side where they won’t slip out of the truck (usually the back of the truck)

I had the opposite problem, fucking mortors hit me a good 9/10 times in some way or another, they would hit me, my horse, my dog and Quiet, they would get fucked up and I wouldn’t have any backup

You could actually still do the quiet supply drop thing you just have to distract her while it's falling down on her. So you could get behind cover call in the supply drop and when it's close just tap the aim button rapidly so that quiet is aiming/taking shots at you and it will still work.

For chopper fights if you are using the 12.7mm sniper rifles. If you are having a hard time hitting the pilot you can also aim for the engines on either side. I was curious one day and shot at the engine and it took one shot with the Brennan and it spun out.
I'll have to try that since shooting the pilot counts as a kill funny enough.

A somewhat cool thing is that in that mission with the kids with diamonds, you can tranq or stun them and fulton them. Now you dont have to worry about the kids :)

no, not against red chopper
only against certain choppers. red choppers take somewhere along 4-6 shots if i remember correctly.
It takes 3-4 shots if you're shooting from the side, aim for the cockpit or the center of the rotor blades or you could aim at the tail if you're an elite sharpshooter but I don't recommend going for the tail unless the Gunship stops moving!

@@Leon_der_Luftige i belive any sniper with above medium penetration for the cockpit. Normal for the tais and rotor blade holder. Use a reflex pill if you are missing shots. Glad to know other people still play this game
A real pro tip is having D horse do the (defecate) option on a road and cars who drive on it slip out and all the drivers get dizzy and cannot fight back for a while so you can extract the car or just kill everybody it is a really effective thing to do in missions and side ops when a prisoner you need to extract is being transported, and also if the car is being escorted (by tanks or armored vehicles) the vehicle in front will slip out causing all the vehicles to stop, so while they are stopped you can extract all of them and they won’t even know what hit them

Pro Tip: Charge up the stun arm to max by holding down the button for 12 seconds. Then release nearby lights or equipment to use as a mini EMP that will also stun enemies. This can only be done with the fully upgraded one.

08:35 you didn't shoot the pilot, you can see the bullet spark on the top right of the chopper. The Brennan sniper rifle is just that strong of a rifle to take down the enemy chopper. Does more damage than the grade 2 Grom-11 and same amount as the grade 6 Killer Bee rocket launchers. Notice the shot you took at 08:12 and it already started smoking. I've tried to shoot the pilot myself, even when the chopper is stable enough for you to get a clear shot you can't.

You can throw enemies (must throw can't put at all) on back of the truck and fulton them.
I was using Fulton wormhole .
When I saw the "knock with bionic arm" tip I thought he was joking. But it turns out you *can* knock with your prosthetic. Such an epic pro victory royal tip
Man, MGSV never ceases to amaze me.
Tip number 1.
Use magazines to make soldiers look the other way, then throw another opposite to where they weren't looking further away.
They'll look and walk longer exactly where you wanted them to. They'll try to look for the noise with more caution.
If you throw it in front of them. They'll just flash the light exactly where you threw the mag and not move.
You can also hit the top of tents or the second floor to make them investigate the inside or on the second floor next to their hearing proximity.
You can also attract multiple enemies and separate the bunch if there's enough space with another mag.
You can still knock out quiet with a supply box. July 2019

Gun down the ceiling xd I tried it with grenade launchers, then rocket launchers, then fucking D Walker, both minigun and rockets 😂 finally tried with a mortar. I have never had D-Dog fuck up any situation, not sure how you're playing the game. Both Quiet and D-Dog has pros and cons. With D-Dog its basically impossible to get caught, but with Quiet its basically impossible to get killed.

All tricks I mostly learn by myself hehe ( still, some are good one )
Tip for Quiet in Extreme modes, trow many decoy ( the more the better ) in different places, mostly place she cant aim well ( I used the Active Decoy dunno if it's work with 'normal' decoys ) it's will confuse Quiet and she will change of places like jump between two places for get a good position for aim the decoy but since they are many she's kind of confuse and don't know what to aim, because that she will can't take position and hold her sniper gun, in this situation you can move without fear to get shot and like that I finish her with sleeping gas ( since she usually jump from two places I watch where she leave and come back and I prepare a sleeping grenade and throw it just before she come back, bam! all the objectives, S rank. Learn where she can move too and put some sleeping mines in different spots when she's confused by the decoys work too.

The thing with the supply drops on quiet is not patched
that trick will only work on the normal difficulty. well, to make it work on the extreme one, pop your head just before the supply drops on her head.

Pro tip: Don't make Quiet silent tranquilize the enemies with helmets,she shoots the helmet and they become aware of her presence...
Another good one is; using a tranq. Dart to distract guards. Especially useful against grouped enemies.

Pro tip 27: helicopters don't see you lying down even with his light cannon on you he doesn't notice you so you can go unnoticed by the helicopter

Top tip: To play mgsv5 you must turn your console on.
The real pro tips are:
1.- Shift while pressing left or right, aiming and prone to prone-roll
2.- Aim or use binoculars to center the character
I found out by accident that you can stun enemies by inflating decoy. Just toss it near guard and pop it. Awesome against guys wearing riot armor.

The item drop is even in the strategy guide as the fastest way to take her out. Shouldn't be patched, but you have to have her distracted. I think her first spot is a no go either.

You need to get more or less lv. 70 of d-dog and a plan that is founded in the mission of the white mamba; Then go to the developing, put it and wait like 18 minutes and TARAAAA!!! Now your dog can fulton everything!!!

Actually helpful protip: Finding the legendary gunsmith will let you customize any guy out of anything.
Talking snipers with grenade launchers, rifles with LMG magazines, and suppressors that fit anything
1 you could shoot the guards in the back of the head rather then dropping an entire supply drop on them, less costly and just as effective
2 dropping supply drops on quite was NOT patched, or it isnt now
But can you shoot a guard in the back or side of the head if they have a helmet?

Dunno if anyone has mentioned this, but if you throw a decoy between two guards having a conversation, then activate it, it will knock both guards out.

Does that 'Shoot the gunship pilot' trick works with ANY sniper rifle? I don't think so... because I shoot one in the canopy with Grade-3 M2000-D rifle, in mission 'Hellbound' yesterday, the bullet just bounced off then the entire base went on combat alert.
That LRS-46 you were using has extra-high penetration ratio, so this is not actually a tip for those who played this game for the first time, that haven't developed LRS-46 yet.
