In Fallout: New Vegas, during the quest Come Fly With Me, you are given the choice of clearing out the ghouls or helping the Bright Brotherhood. If you stealth through the area entirely, not killing any of the feral ghouls, or brotherhood ghouls. The feral ghouls with join Jason and his ghoul followers in the launch bay at the end of the questline. Nice little detail I found during a stealth+melee playthrough. Part of my reasoning behind not killing the ferals was also from previous playthroughs where Jason's dialogue mentions that they are still part of his brotherhood even though they are feral, and he asks you not to harm them.
The Higgs Village fountain thing was my favorite. I love OWB, but my favorite part is the Gremlins reference with that tiny death claw. Wild Wasteland rules!
53:48 this is a Salute to Stockholm, the sniper located directly right above you when you enter Megaton. Sims is notifying him to watch the conversation between you. In-game wise, evil characters cannot leave the vault that way and will need to have done some kind of notoriety in the Wasteland to get that karma rating, so your name and looks would have spread word throughout the Capital. Lucas notices you and is pretty much telling Stockholm to be on the lookout and aim for your head at all times with a laser beam.
Don't know if it's already been mentioned in one of these videos, I don't recall hearing it but, the noodle selling robot in Fallout 4 is a voice cameo from the original creator of Resident Evil.
Also if you have The beret you get from Boone’s quest it clips through the elite riot helmet allowing you to wear both and get both of its benefits as for some reason the beret can be worn under the helmet.
I know one, once you end Dead Money, in the Dropbox in the abandoned BOS bunker, every 3 or so days it gives you 1000 chips for the vending machine, thus giving you nigh unlimited stims, weapon repair kits, etc.
Jamaica Plain in fallout 4 has quite a few unique junk items, mostly championship little league items, a derby toy car, league bowling ball and pin, all unique items that I don’t believe respawn, another good find for rare item collectors. Another “rare” item would be the big boy rocket launcher and it’s many weird properties, such as duplicating ammo for the striker variant and having a nerfed MIRV variant (only fires 2 blocks of six nukes, whereas the standard variant shoots 8 nukes per block.) The duplicate grognak comic would be an interesting topic to cover as well, as it appears they accidentally made 2 of the same comic in different locations. Finally, calmex, one of the rarest items in fallout 4, with no known guaranteed spawn locations, one of the only ways to get a crit outside of VATS (others include the max ranked iron fist perk and that might be it), as well as having a sneak attack multiplier, being uncraftable (it’s very rare to find chem variants like fury, jet fuel and ultra jet but they can simply be crafted), and having a spawn rate so low even experienced players wouldn’t know they exist unless they’re looking deep in the wiki for it.
Not sure if you've mentioned it in any of these videos, but in Fallout: New Vegas, im pretty sure there's only one instance where The Courier can say whatever you named your character to another NPC. Pretty sure it was at the NCR camp, just East of Novac. I always thought it was pretty cool to see the dialog option "The name's Jerkoff."
Also to the Followers of the Apocalypse member outside the Lucky 38. I believe with the barter speech check it's like, "Doctor [character's name] diagnoses a significantly low amount of caps!"
I’ve had a good laugh at that exact interaction a few times. The names Santa clause. The names Jesse Ventura from Predator. The list goes on and on. Lol
If I remember correctly there is more behind the note from S to E. I think there was also a hallow rock in one of the Morrowind dlcs with a similar note.
Man I've been waiting and I'm glad it came out before my wifi went out I just moved recently and you're videos have kept me entertained thank you for the lore and knowledge mr.mantis
Play 2 next. I’m stuck between recommending New Vegas or 3 after. Part of me says play NV last because it’s so much longer than 3 but 3 in itself is a great game and also enjoyable. I guess go in order of release. 2,3 NV
If you bring Deacon along when you retake the Castle he will have a unique bit of dialog if you chose firing line. Oh also if Deacon is following you when you agree to become the General of the MM he really likes it. In Diamond City if you kill Cook and then invite Paul to join you in the drug raid and then split the rewards with him he will move into the Taphouse and get a fancy new hat - and his wife is now hanging out with him :) If you havent met Garvey you can still talk to Abernathy like you know him and the Minute Men. In fact Deacon's 2nd coversation you can ask what he thinks of other groups and he says he likes what your doing with the Minute Men.
I loved that interaction with Benny when he's talking smack about his body guards and me not having anything, I was running an unarmed playground and just knocked his head off his body with brass knuckles it was incredibly satisfying
I haven’t even played Fallout since I was a kid, but I love learning about Fallout lore. It’s just such a brilliant game, they paid attention to everything and I love learning about the details that I missed!
Sometimes I forget that I’ve chosen to have 3 intelligence and then I’ll suddenly get a really stupid dialogue option and I’ll be like “oh yeah that’s right. This guy has mushy brain.”
at H&H tools head building near vegas you can get a key to grand yourself access to mr house cryopod when meeting him in the beginning of the game and can thus kill him.
Thanks for the video For the next one you might want to include a pretty obvious one. The town of primm based on the real life primm with the casino rollercoaster and the bonny and Clyde memorabilia along with the death car
This got covered a while back, and isn’t inaccessible, but does require some very fancy jumping to get to. It’s also hinted at if you enter Megaton as an evil character, the Sheriff will salute you, a signal to the sniper guard to keep an eye on you.
Technically, since we're talking about Fallout 3, we don't find those Giddy-Up Buttercups littering the wasteland... Before Mothership Zeta was released, there were only posters that referenced the toy horse. The actual 3-D model/item was introduced in said DLC, and only in a pristine variation, not like in Fallout 4, where you can find them (or their parts) in a state of decay

"What rare items do you collect in Fallout?" Ha, I collect everything. I had so much stuff in my novac home for which if I fast traveled there, my game would freeze. I ended up keeping at least two of every common item, taking it the Mojave Trading post where I got free repairs (bug I think), and went to gun runners to sell.
I just hade a lucid dream I was fire god lui kang and I hade a samurai sword and a rice hat and I could create fire out my hands and I hade a dragon dagger and I was fighting in a trailer i feel so good
It has just occurred to me that James was training the lone wanderer to defend himself as a child knowing full damn well he would be leaving one day and anticipated that the player may follow, that could actually explain why seemingly the lone wanderer had so many survival skills for the wasteland for being underground their entire life
I don't think James ever wanted his kid to follow him. He acts and sounds pretty surprised when you find him. And even says something along the lines of like he expected there to be some problems at the vault once he left but never what the overseer actually did.
@@aslychair3096 maybe anticipated wasn't the right word but I don't much see a reason to teach a kid to shoot (admittedly yes it is a bb gun) for 'self defence' in a vault, they don't tend to have massive populations so it's pretty likely if someone were to commit a crime, people would probably know, especially if it's an assault and given the overseers demeener he would likely be pretty tough, making it even less likely for crime and James knows this, he says the overseer is an overwhelming bully, and he did break for something as simple as a man opening the vault door so it's likely he was pretty messed up in the head already and he is quite two faced as evident in the party section of vault 101, I don't think James expected the player to follow through I wouldn't put it past him to have anticipated the possibility as small as it was, hes a smart man he would think of the possibilities and would likely anticipate that if you were to leave you would have to know basic survival skills to survive after all he did come from the wasteland so literally no one in the vault knows the wasteland like he does having experienced it first hand. I just want to say thank you T.k you helped me through out this tough year. Also I graduated thanks to your commentary carrying me through my virtual classes which fyi sucked 😂
The “skilled” trait in fnv is kind of useless. If you build high int and find enough skill books you can get every skill to 100 without it. “Built to destroy” or “small frame” are great alternatives.
Skilled can be glitched to give you a bonus to all skills twice. Take it once at the start and re select it again when leaving good springs. To say it’s useless is also an overstatement. The -10% xp is literally nothing with how many enemies and quests there are in the game, not to mention enemies respawn in certain locations.
@@burgerking5225 small frame gives you +1 agility but limbs cripple easier. So no it’s worse then intensive training and it makes hardcore limb break simulator.
@@pelinalseth small frame is a great perk, more crippled limbs means getting the tough guy perk faster, practically cancels out negatives, intense training isn’t bad, but if you have a dedicated build you’re seeking with little free perks to put into intense training small frame could be a great alternative to min/maxxing your build and getting extra agility points for perks that have a minimum AG requirement
Skilled can be stacked 3 times though, once in doc Mitchell’s, another time if reselected when leaving good springs, and a third time during OWB when respecking your character, it’s unintentional and considered a bug, but considering that it is in the final version of the game it can be incredibly overpowered giving +15 to each skill
Did you know you can pick pocket any of the NPC's with 1/1 armor and weapons? You will maxed out Pick Pocket and sneak. These include Elder's Robes, Any Overseer's robes.

Untrue. If you kill everyone in vault 101 that you can and make all evil decisions, it is enough to make that dialogue happen.
