THANKS FOR WATCHING! We hope you LOVED all this HUNGARIAN street food in Budapest! Stay tuned for our next episode in FLORENCE ITALY! instagram.com/chopsticktravel & facebook.com/chopsticktravel
Yes, you're doing a European series, that's cool! Hungarian foods looks amazing and here's one thing you guys, if you're in Hungary, you must try the Langos ( The Hungarian Fried Bread), everyone try it when I watched the other videos. Good job!
I love Gulash, palinka and kurtos so much! Beautiful country, amazing capital and very nice and clever peoples. P.S: Sziget festival is the best! I'm romanian and i don't hate you! Respect and love from Bucharest-Romania! 🤗
I am Canadian-Hungarian, but I grew up in a total Hungarian household. Langos is one of my personal favourite. It really is more pan fried than deep fried. I find the best way to eat it is rubbed with garlic and dusted lightly with salt. Yum! It’s a staple in my house. And of course chicken paprikas with nokedli, stuffed peppers and cabbage rolls. And then the desserts! Szarbo is the best. But let us not forget polacinta. Hope you enjoyed. Watching your video made me incredibly hungry and nostalgic.
On the fisherman's bastion. In medieval times the citiy's guilds also provided garrison and every guild had a designated section of the wall they were responsible for. And the fisherman's guild was responsible to cover that area back then. That's why it's named fisherman's bastion.
Going to gelert baths and feasting on beer and goulash afterwards is probably one of the top 15 best experiences I've had in life. Budapest is amazing. Love the people, the langos and history experienced while I was there. I must mention that Százéves Étterem (oldest restaurant in Budapest) and varosliget in hero square were responsible for cooking up some of the most memorable feast I enjoyed during my time there. That city is so much fun tho. Great food everywhere, the list is truly endless.
Since my first visit to Budapest 1981 when I was 6 years old, I really love Hungarian food! I remember my first meeting with my grandmother. She brought chocolate boxes as gifts for me and my 16 years old Hungarian cousin. We were eating breakfast when she came and I was "rude" (not used to eat chocolate as breakfast and she thought I was like my cousin who ate chocolate for breakfast, lunch and dinner) and said I wanted to eat more salami, gyulai kolbasz, white fresh paprika with the tasty Hungarian farmer's bread and save the chocolate for the evening! Imagine the faces of the rest :)
Cabbage rolls are the epitome of comfort food in my world. I've never seen one as big as the one you ate, but it looked amazing. Love seeing you both in Europe. Don't complain about all the tourists when you're one yourself!
I`m glad you liked the things you tried. Hungarians make wonderful food, and that`s why I snagged a cookbook before leaving! And you`re right about kremes pastry - wow!
I left Hungary 26 years ago (1994). I miss it especially the food and yes the palinka lol. Some of the food I can cook like the cabbage rolls and csirke paprikas. So good...

It is a beautiful city ! We have been there twice and spent 10 days total . Love every minute of the stay! Don't miss the tour of the parliament, the ride on the Danube at night, the mathis church, the palace tour , the fishermen's bastion, the central marker, gerbaud cafe and the secret archaeological site under the Hilton hotel in the buda side!
Really glad you made a video like this! Already more than a year i left my country and miss some vibes. This video was warm my heart. Good to see you had a fun time there. My fav is the cabbige roll so far. Thx
My grand-father was born & raised in Hungary, just north of Budapest in Tronyos-Placa! I've eaten 😋ALOT of Hungarian food needless to say! I love this video the best!! Thank you!! 😘😊💞
@@AllAmericanGuy01 I always drinking milk while eating cereal. Btw goulash (gulyás) is a spicy, hot, heavy, meaty, potato soup (or stew or something in between them). Good Evening....I lived in Budapest for 5 years and it is indeed a wonderful city....the way I eat a Langos is to fold it like a fried calzone! That way you lose nothing from the filling....and just dig in....and it is indeed wonderful after a drunken night out!!! Nice video..many memories...
Heard that the Christmas markets in Budapest have the widest variety of foods sold compared to other markets in the region. And the markets are now open till just before Christmas!
