In keeping with the custom of the day women were still dressing up to go out. Bear in mind the park is in Southern California. Between the heat from the sun, the still 'wet' asphalt and the heat from under the asphalt below women were, getting 'stuck' in the asphalt and had to either abandon their shoes or do their best to pry their heels out of the pavement as best they could, so they could wear some sort of shoes to go home in.
Why not finish the construction of the park before even thinking about opening it? Yes you cant help the counterfeit tickets, but everything else? On Disney

One of which of the many reasons are to introduce the said subject while they're still at it, otherwise noone would care even if they were finished. Speaking of finishing the build, it's hard to finish a WHOLE park. If anything, They had to introduce it to trusted public figures immediately so the public in general will be pretty much aware of the place already. Its like "easier said than done". Firstly, there is a thing called inflation. $1 in the 50’s was worth a lot more back then when people were earning say $10 a week. In addition to this, the ticket was only to give you entry to the park. You had to pay for each ride on top of this which were different prices depending on how the ride was graded. Today the ticket includes rides and you don’t have to pay extra for them. People complaining that it’s too expensive to go, well no it isn’t. The parks attract thousands upon thousands of people a day. Attendance is not low at all. Just because you personally can’t afford to go doesn’t mean it’s overpriced, you just can’t afford it. Companies don’t need to drop prices just because some people can’t afford it, because plenty of people are still willing to pay. Yes it’s disappointing if you can’t afford it but they need to make profits in order to continue expanding. I would rather pay more to visit a park that will be improving everytime I go, than to go to a park falling into disrepair and overrun with too many tourists.

Yes it’s disappointing if you can’t afford it but they need to make profits in order to continue expanding. I would rather pay more to visit a park that will be improving everytime I go, than to go to a park falling into disrepair and overrun with too many tourists.
