As a white woman who has dated many different races (I lived in Vancouver in my 20s), I find Asian men just as attractive as any other race. The problem I encountered is most of the East Asian men I dated would belittle my work, and the South Asian men were way too focused on designer brands. And most white guys didn’t want a relationship, just hook ups. There’s problems in all cultures. I moved away and found my current husband within a year. That may be more of a Vancouver culture problem though 😅

The thing I (65 years old) came across with men from Asia (include Chinese, Russian, Indian, the others I haven’t met) is they want submissive, stay at home, traditional, women. Sorry, but women have been in the work force since the First World War. Divorce rates are now 50% and women are left having to care for themselves and usually their children on their own. So they can’t afford to never work and to stay at home as they will likely get divorced and it is near impossible to find a job in your mid twenties or later without current job experience. That can’t be me. Not all but many black, white, and Hispanics know it takes both partners working to care for a family and don’t expect women to quit working after marriage. Also I prefer men under 6’, working steady(not necessary at 6 figures, and I’m running from anything over 7”.
I think an interesting case study to look at would be BTS and the outlook following their decision to enter into mandatory military service. Normally, boy bands in Korea stop being culturally relevant once the members exit this mandatory 18 month period. This is because of how the industry works and the high volume of bands and competition. But since BTS blew up around the world(particularly in America and Europe), their extreme demand in these areas made it so that Hybe/Big Hit Entertainment(the company that oversees BTS actually assured the public that the group was to remain together post military service. That something which to my knowledge has NEVER BEEN DONE before(I.e an Asian boy band held solely together by predominantly young western female interest(50% are female, and average age is 23, and according to Reddit, 51.2 is white non Hispanic) in their product, image and likeness)

Especially in portraying more “diverse looks” as the Hero/Hottie (instead of just being a side chharacter)…. And in doing so “normalizing” a wide range of hotness. Try and make a survey with a shirtless Gong Yoo or Henry Golding and I doubt you’ll get a high rejection rate among the single ladies - regardless of “ethnic preference”😂

I have read that Asian immigrant women do prefer to date interracially and that immigrant Asian men do have a harder time getting partners compared to other men. The thing I (65 years old) came across with men from Asia (include Chinese, Russian, Indian, the others I haven’t met) is they want submissive, stay at home, traditional, women. Sorry, but women have been in the work force since the First World War. Divorce rates are now 50% and women are left having to care for themselves and usually their children on their own. So they can’t afford to never work and to stay at home as they will likely get divorced and it is near impossible to find a job in your mid twenties or later without current job experience. That can’t be me. Not all but many black, white, and Hispanics know it takes both partners working to care for a family and don’t expect women to quit working after marriage. Also I prefer men under 6’, working steady(not necessary at 6 figures, and I’m running from anything over 7”.
I think an interesting case study to look at would be BTS and the outlook following their decision to enter into mandatory military service. Normally, boy bands in Korea stop being culturally relevant once the members exit this mandatory 18 month period. This is because of how the industry works and the high volume of bands and competition. But since BTS blew up around the world(particularly in America and Europe), their extreme demand in these areas made it so that Hybe/Big Hit Entertainment(the company that oversees BTS actually assured the public that the group was to remain together post military service. That something which to my knowledge has NEVER BEEN DONE before(I.e an Asian boy band held solely together by predominantly young western female interest(50% are female, and average age is 23, and according to Reddit, 51.2 is white non Hispanic) in their product, image and likeness)

It seems like the guy who made this is just projecting his insecurities. Maybe he's had some bad dating experiences in the past and came to the wrong conclusion that no one wants to date Asian men (or him).
But I think this dude is living under a rock because there are tons of women who want to date Asian men. I see it online and see couples irl. Where was he during the big K-pop wave in the late 2010s or in watching Asian drama popularity? All those young girls and women wanted a piece of the pie. I'm aware that a majority were chasing a fantasy of a man, however. But it did solidify Asian men as a great candidate in the dating pool and get many people interested in the different Asian cultures as a whole.

I have read that Asian immigrant women do prefer to date interracially and that immigrant Asian men do have a harder time getting partners compared to other men. I’ve also noticed that that is changing and Asian men just need confidence. This honestly goes for all people though. Shame is the biggest turn off and it *always* shows. And for real, admitting that you’re ashamed or embarrassed about some aspects of yourself just reverses it. Owning yourself, your preferences, hobbies, interests, background, etc, showing what excites you, makes you laugh, talking about what you spend your time on, will draw the people you are similar to or would like to know more about that stuff to you. It’s always your inner struggles that drag you down, not your appearance. If you only want a partner for what they do for you and to show other people that you have one then you’re probably not gotta one that makes you happy. How you think of people shows up in how you treat them and THAT is why incels and nice guys don’t get gfs

I've actually been watching his channel for a few days now, and i kinda feel bad for him.
