Difficult to line up, but I agree. I did boxing first, then karate, then went to wing chun, so knew basic styles. Wing chun is short style, where boxing has long range, hooks, and upper cuts for inside fighting. Boxing is the quickest to learn and be good at fighting, but I liked wing chun the best, and learned fight ending techniques not in the forms of Wing Chun from Felix Leung in Adelaide in the 1980's. The key advantage in wing chun IMO is sticking, grabbing and grappling, and most teachers don't show this or know this well enough. The Wing Chun movies never show grappling, because the fight would be over in a few seconds. On so many levels, punching the head is not a wise idea in any fight as it could kill.
Do u think that will work against a real pro boxer. The answer is no no no. U cannot get that rotation and lay your hands on a fast boxers arm. Come on Tony. Get real.
Most Chunners don’t understand this concept at all. Thank you sir.
I've been practicing Wing Chun for quite a while. You're explanation that example are excellent.
Relaxed hands.. great stuff.. so many vids show WC practitioners with rigid stiff hands and fingers like a karate nukite
Nother great point. Why is this not tought any where else.
Nice description
Great WC but still almost impossible to pull off against real boxeing
Ask any boxer to face vingrove thomas....most just turn and run away

That's like saying boxers are not good at fighting because the just punch a bag.
