    Charles your back again and you almost look Chinsse with that fancy uniform! Maybe you have some Chinsse blood since your NON stop with Bruce Lee videos! I really do NOT believe Bruce Lee did not need to know martial arts cause he was born super natural.. ALL he had to do was pick a target and go for it. As far as power he had to train for it. Thanks for ALL your past comments about me, you just FAiLED to say I am a genius! Ha ha ,just kidding! Too bad you left the state here, it would have been cool to meet you! As far as Wing Chun vs MMA there are many arguments about that . Donnie Yen and , Jackie Chan , jet li never entered tournaments like Bruce Lee! Most certainly they had amazing gifts 😍😎 that many do NOT have.. keep up the good work! That was fun to hear the SLAM / BANGING sounds in your video! May all good blessings 🙏 be with you! Angela Mao Ying and.the ones named above are the few still alive! Lastly, a Sifu told me that a drunk guy just might land a LUCKY punch! He did train with James Jimmy Lee and knew Bruce Lee because he worked out at Jimmy Lee s home when Bruce Lee was there!

    🤔
    First off you're standing way too close
    In fact, standing far too close to even throw anything that even resembles Lee's final backfist..
    Secondly, there are only THREE- moves made by Lee in their third interaction..
    1)Lee goes(fakes)low, then
    2)Lee comes up with a backfist that Wall checks by employing a cross body block, which
    3)Bruce, while still in contact with Bob's blocking arm, clears the blocked arm while simultaneously landing a backfist with the freed arm so much faster than before you can only clearly see the path, full extent and technique in slo-mo!
    I have no doubt you are well versed in your art. Which is why I cannot understand the need, or misunderstanding that led, to adding an extra backfist...
    I appreciate demonstrating that Lee was not employing a Pak Sao as some "experts" contend, lol
    For that, art and such infectious enthusiasm you get a definite like from me!
    ✌🏽

    • @CharlesDamianoBLC
      @CharlesDamianoBLC  2 роки тому +1

      K Dub thanks for the suggestions. I realized afterwards that I fed Tony the wrong hand on that second move and should have feed him my crossover hand which would have made it only three moves. (which would have matched Lee exactly) In the heat of the filming it did not occur to me until I was editing it and tried to make the best of it! Still looked pretty cool. And we had a great time! LOL Will redo it when we get together for another shoot! Glad you enjoyed and have a great weekend! Thanks again for commenting and subscribing to the channel! Be well my friend! What arts have you studied in the past and how and when were you first introduced to Bruce Lee? Thanks

      "I have no doubt you are well versed in your art. Which is why I cannot understand the need, or misunderstanding that led, to adding the blah, blah, blah, blah, blah..." WTF ??????
      It's 2 guys doing their best to explain a fight scene from a 49 year old movie. They're not trying to show folks how to resuscitate a dying person OR how to perform the Heimlich maneuver on a choking baby! It ain't that serious. Lighten up!
      Sounds like a character in a kung fu movie: "I have no doubt you are well versed in your art, ... BUT, you have offended my family and a shaolin temple, by adding an extra backfist to your Pak Sao sequence. For that, you must DIE!!!!"

      @@derekmitchell1738 I've watched and enjoyed many of their videos and will continue to do so.
      You do know UA-cam is a public forum, right?
      Their demonstration, my opinion of it and your opinion of my opinion comes with the territory.
      I respect your opinion despite the laughable irony of you telling me to "lighten up" when you're clearly in your feelings, LOL
      True it's not like they were demonstrating life saving techniques but it's also true I didn't attack them as if they were.
      Had I watched a video on How To Skip Rope Like Ali but the guy in the video didn't really understand what he was trying to explain.. I'd have something to say..

    Very instructive. Thanks for the breakdown of the hand movements.
    As for the kick, you will generate more power by pushing from the ground with the support leg and transfer that through the hip and avoid leaning your body mass away by throwing a hand towards the target. Lifting your knee as high as possible to reduce upward angle and add gravity to your body power and motion will also help.
    Also note that this is a push kick. A really damaging kick will not send your opponent flying. On the contrary, he will crumple to the ground with broken bones or ruptured organs; or at least intense pain, especially if you hit nerve centers. Moving back actually absorbs the impact. That's why a moving opponent is harder to hurt than a static one and thus, why fighters (among other things) don't stand still in a fight.
    Great vid. And you apply well the motto of my late Taekwon-Do master, J. André Blake : '' Be serious, but without taking yourself seriously.''

    Im watching Jim Kelly's intro credit. He's in denim red and he's on the junk looking tight at something. Now I got it. He was looking at Parson's bullying the crew worker on the junk just before he approached Lee asking, "Whats your style?". I remember Lee's and Roper's reaction shot but Kelly's was cut. Bad choice. It made perfect sense to keep it because it would have made Kelly's fight with Parsons personal and more emotionally invested for the audience. Thats almost as bad as the movie's poster having an image of Williams dead hanging on the chains. You know the black guy dies before you even saw the movie.

    If there one thing that most people do not understand it is trapping. This is what set Bruce apart upon his arrival in Seattle. Only to be almost discarded at the end as Bruce's abilities surpassed everyone else. Jesse Glover once said that Bruce could win any fight with his trapping alone. This combined with the 1" punch would stop most people in a couple of seconds.😁🐉☯

I have been a Bruce Lee fan since 1973 when my oldest brother became a fan before me from him taking Okinawan Karate when my father was stationed there at Kadena A.F.B. in 73. I was only 3 back then but really got interested in Bruce in 1979 When I first saw Game of Death here in the states as a teen. Yeah ever since then I have always loved Bruce Lee. Sifu...you got it REALLY CLOSE to what Sifu Lee did in the last movement...but you missed what he REALLY did...From 1973 to present..I've watched the full length movie a total of 1071x to date and "slow mo'd" that fight scene at least 300x...and your interpretation is VERY VERY CLOSE!! But you missed what actually happened (with all due respect). On the last move Bruce fainted downward to draw Bob W. down...BW met BL there with his right forearm...BL trapped BW's forearm there with BL's left hand (crossing over his own right forearm to do it)...BL then moves his own right hand up again towards BW's face again and because he has BW's right forearm trapped, BW is forced use his left hand to block BL's oncoming righthanded punch..which he does ..and at that very instant BL releases BW's right forearm and slides his own left-hand underneath and then onto BW's left elbow, and grabs the Gi at that spot and pulls BW's whole left arm down over top of BW's right arm (trapping both arms together) against BW's rightside and hip...more like BW's waist actually leaving BL's right-hand fist free to execute that last punch..😊😉😎👍....please replay it in super slow motion and take another look...then compare it to your demonstration...you'll see that I'm right.....This, however, in NO WAY negates your BRILLIANT and INSPIRING instruction.
    Were he here today Sifu Li Jun Fan would be SOOO proud of the work you're putting in..Thank you for your on going LABOR OF LOVE❤❤❤❤❤🔥🔥🔥🔥!!

      Darin you are correct. I noticed that as well after I began editing the film but it was too late to go back and reshoot so I left it the way it was. We did 4 moves on the final trap but in essence it was only 3 that Lee preformed! My feed to Sifu Tony at the time as wrong but he flowed with it...I should have block his back fist with my left hand instead of bring up my right. I missed that in the heat of filming. Next time we will re-enact the entire fight and correct that opening trap! Thanks again! We had a blast and it was great fun! Glad you enjoyed and have a great weekend my friend! 👌✌

    Another great and whats more , informative episode. Bruce really showcased his trapping so well here. Although there is trapping in other styles such as Eskrima (tapi-tapi) and even in Tai Chi but heavily disguised. Bruce obviously took it to another level. For starters O'hara is at a disadvantage as his rear hand is to far away to stop anything. The best way to really see this scene is on the Ahna Capri footage as it shows Bruce's real speed without interruption. Couple of things I noticed. As has been pointed out before, the pak sao in the trailer looks to be filmed from a lot closer angle. And immediately after Bruce's devastating side kick, it looks like he has a golf ball hidden in his sock. Fun show but very informative at the same time.👍😁🐉👍

    • @CharlesDamianoBLC
      @CharlesDamianoBLC  2 роки тому

      JW thanks brother! Bruce took his trapping to another level as you pointed out. And funny I just noticed the bulge in his sock for the first time. • @jwfloating-world
      @jwfloating-world 2 роки тому +1

      @@CharlesDamianoBLC Thank Charles. After watching both Bruce's actions and Tony's again slowed down, he is perfectly right that Bruce has used a Jit Sao as Bruce's hand is by his waist and not closer to Bob's body as he hits. We were all just looking at the finger (fist) and missing the heavenly glory (the technique). Bruce used so much power in his traps he seemed to be able to not just trap physically, but emotionally as well by disrupting (trapping) your energy. Also watch the second punch again and you'll notice his feet are off the ground. Terri Tom mentions this meaning Bruce's entire body weight is going into the punch. As Hector rightly said two excellent Martial Artists since Bob really sold getting hit. Good point about the protection in Bruce's sock. Pity he did not use it on his hand. You can see a plaster on his little finger the first night he is creeping around. Final point. Lee's character commits a real gaffe by looking at the ground when they bow, thus taking his eyes off his opponent. Then he does it again a few seconds later while looking at Han, giving O'hara the chance to grab his ankle. This is good in the fight if he had not head slapped his student for the same thing earlier. Really enjoyed this one as it fits in with the previous Chi Sao and 1" punch videos.😁🙏
