That homemade valve spring compressor reminded me of a story my grandpa told me about when he was working at a chevy dealership in the 60s as a mechanic (he was 19 and one of the only mechanics that would work on Corvettes). He designed a tool that he used to take apart and put together steering columns. I can't remember how he told me it worked but it made doing any job steering column related take about half as long. But he told be he never saw a tool like it until 1-2 years later when the guy he bought parts from had one, and the parts guy said it just came out.

Usually don't comment on any videos but just want to say, The Volvo S60R is what got me watching your channel as I own a 05 in Ti Grey with the nordkap interior just like the one you owned.
But main reason for the comment is just saying Champion plugs are actually OEM for Chrysler products. They typically don't like other plugs either. Usually in my experience other brands seem to wear out faster on them. But love the videos man!

Should have shims underneath all those valve springs. Aluminum heads require some kind of hardened steel shim in between the soft aluminum of the head and the hard valve spring

Finally an update on Satan! Miss that car.
I cracked open my dads 250 thousand mile 350 Chevy suburban motor and to my surprise there was still crosshatching. And it had never been opened up by my knowledge and has ran out of oil multiple times but the bore wasn’t bad.
Can’t wait to see both cars finished! Especially that sexy blue beast😍

So i did some research and i was able to find some info on the viper and apparently it was owned by someone in Plano,TX in 2013 before being sold to the guy in Oklahoma

if you get satan re dyno tuned it won’t be too bad on throttle tip in. but again flashing and data logs just can’t replace what a tuner can hear/feel. Good luck!!

Champion plugs are OE for Dodge, Chrysler, and Jeep
And arp2000 rod bolts are stock for gen3 vipers... this motor is stock
Those iridium plugs I found out will call off faster meaning they won't get as got rather than stock ones those will last longer and won't fall as bad
