I never want to stop fasting, it has changed my life. Maybe 20/4 won’t be my forever lifestyle but some form of fasting will be.
🙏🏽thank you for teaching us how to fast correctly. 👋🏽 Anita, my partner in fasting!

Been doing 18/6 sense gaining 10 lbs. Lost the 10lbs in 2-3 months but best thing was I lost all the belly fat that I had before I gained the 10lbs. So true healing fr inside out.

I’ve been doing 20/4 since may. I’ve lost 23 lbs but the best part is my doctor said I no longer need to come in every six months, I was pre diabetic and he’s very pleased with my numbers now. I’m feeling wonderful and plan to stick with 20/4

Kristina, this is my number one concern as well. I’m assuming doing the 20/4 for an extended time was especially helpful. I’m curious if you also cut our carbs and sugars entirely as well?

@@bettylarson6514 I did but not all the way. I still allow myself a sugary snack a couple times a week, but I did cut way back. But I knew if I didn’t eat them once in awhile I would struggle.

This was my intro video do your work, and I’m thankful for it! It’s been 11 days now and I’ve intermittent fasted every day, plus or minus 20 hours. A couple times maybe a little bit less, and the other day 21 hours at least!
I don’t know whether I have lost weight, but I certainly haven’t gained any. I’m feeling amazingly well for fasting that long, I was one of those that thought wow, that’s a long time! But I started it and on the very first day I hardly noticed anything. Sister and I have been days where my stomach was growling a bit, but you know what? Nothing bad happened when I didn’t eat right away! :-)
I Love knowing that everybody’s body reacts differently and you can’t say what exactly will change and when. Perhaps a morning I’ll wake up and my joints will all feel really good when I move them! :-)

A Sept 22 graduate and fast 24 hours by eating lunch only at noon. I never thought that I would have been able to do this but I actually never feel hungry. I no longer feel pain in my body and I am sure that my glucose levels have decreased. Will confirm with my doctor next month.
Undoubtedly this is one if the best things that I have done for my health as I am aging.

Thank you for the enthusiastic presentations which are very motivational …after two years of living a 16:8 lifestyle , the extra initial focus needed to push to a 20:4 approach was greatly helped by listening to the well articulated presentations… and this is coming from (dare I say it) a man.
Many thanks, and I continue to fine tune my approach, enjoying the “challenge “ of the longer window at first, but encouraged by the noticeable increase in baseline energy.

I have been using the Intermittent Fasting routine for a while---even before it became so 'fashionable'. And for my body, it does work. Basically, if I am running around doing many errands, (busy busy) then the 16 Hour Fast will be what I use. But on those days that I am doing lightweight chores, then the 20 Hour Fast is what I'll use. So it does depend. And as far as losing weight, what I've noticed is that Intermittent Fasting will take the weight off, and NOT just water---the fat will come off eventually, though I must admit that I lose just ONE pound at a time and not a lot. But the weight that comes off, stays off. So for me, I am more concerned with Keeping The Weight OFF....I am not tremendously overweight and certainly not obese. And being over 50, it's important for me to keep it off. And also, I'm concerned w/ not getting Diabetes. My cholesterol Level is average--always has been. And my blood pressure is normal...However, heart disease runs in my family and thus, I want to keep my weight down

I have been in menopause since the age of 42 due to breast cancer. I became sedentary and gained a tremendous amount of weight in my middle. I look pregnant and am self concious. I had my cortisol checked 10 yrs ago but I think its back due to severe mental stress from my very toxic family. my life with my husband and and young adult children is great what if I feel hypogycemic??

    • @DyAnnParham
      @DyAnnParham  8 місяців тому

Fear of feeling something like a hypoglycemic feeling is what will keep you sick, stressed and uncomfortable! There are ways to get past that. You have to want to get better more that you are afraid of a feeling that might happen. Are you considering joining class with us in March?

If I am not fasting, the gout needs medications to make it gone (sometimes I could not walk) & with proper dieting.

68 years old and 16:8 is so easy, but no results (except not gaining any more). 18:6 is so hard for me. I don't understand why since it's only 2 hrs different. I would like to eventually get to 20:4 or even OMAD. But I don't seem able to make it 18 hrs. I'm a comfort simple carb eater. Also some reactive hypoglycemia.

I use “fasting + intermittent fasting” but another one that is about the same is called “zero”

I use the Zero app and I really like it. It has free and paid features. I find the free features are all I need.

I eat a big salad at the end of my feasting window around 6:30…it keeps me full all night.
