I'm a retired Army infantryman. I've been practicing Pencak Silat since I got out and saw that he did a collaboration with Neeves knives for a new karambit. Just waiting on mine, I have two other of his knives and they are really high quality and just love the sheaths.
Check out TOPs C.U.T. 4.0, karambit style, with a nice hunk of needle nose drop point, coated in their patented DLC, no printing in scout carry or waist. Best knife I have ever owned. Does everything well, process deer, Bushcraft, fish filet, slicing veggies etc. etc. Nice kydex sheath, has TOPs ruggedness and quality. Designed by Josh Swannagen, karambit fight instructor
I have an FMF ordered. Cannot wait. I’ll be picking up the next batch of the Gideon. Love the name- just perfect Tim Kell and CW are wonderful people as well as a truly amazing and innovated craftsman. Outstanding!
Proud owner of the Gideon V1 and guys I have to tell you that if you haven’t checked out one of Tim’s knives you’re missing out! The craftsmanship is second to none. Huge thanks to Jason and Tim for making these available to us mortals.
Quick observation: I’ve followed your channel for some time now. From firearms, to knives to tactics your instruction and depth of knowledge is amazing. Your knowledge transfer is welcomed.
These are some nice knives. I own the TCQ, Nighthawk, and bought the Nightshade for my wife to wear. I wish I could justify buying more right now. Aside from the knives, Tim is an honorable business owner. With the first knife I purchased he contacted me and told me he wasn't happy with the quality of the blades he received for the blade I wanted. He offered me an immediate refund or the option to buy a different knife. I bought a different knife. The fact he risked losing a sale to maintain the integrity of his product and brand says a lot about him. I will always look to TKell first when I'm in the market for a knife.
I prefer the Mercenary most. I like the longer blade. I EDC 2 folders. The Cold Steel Vaquero Grande 6" serrated in my right pocket and the Cold Steel Rajah ll 6" in my left. You can open them with one hand and despite their large size they are definitely concealable in jeans. And my multi tool on my belt in case I need to open a box or something trivial. I also keep a 12" Kukri in my pack in case things get really crazy. And my gun at my left ribs, 10mm S&W 2.0 with 4 mags. Stay safe. ❤
I like the looks of the Gideon and the guardian a lot, and the bushman looks great too! I’m not much for neck knives, but that neck knife does look pretty sweet. Thanks for the video!
I'm looking forward to seeing your collaboration with TKELL on your field knife! I love the Gideon 3 so, the field knife will be something to see for sure. Thanks for your videos! Great real world tips for us in our new America we're forced to deal with. God Bless! ❤
Recent subsciber and i love your knives. Ive been wanting to pick one up since i first seen one. The V3 is just wicked. Looking for an edc fixed for self defense. Carrying a firearm isnt really an option with the places i have to go throughout the day so ive gotta find something. Im a 42 year old new father and ive recently had an experience that made me rethink the world in which we unfortunately live. We live on a fixed budget due to a recent accident my wife unfortunately had but as soon as i can im gonna grab a V3 if i can. Keep up the work. Your designs have most definitely saved a few from the godless that have overrun our country. Prayers and God bless
Again and again, Mr. Frogman Tactical delivers exceptional videos, a Hero, a Gentleman a VIRTUOSO in any survival subjects. Thanks a lot for delivering critical safety info. GOD bless you and your loved ones, satay safe.
Love everything about the gideon and nightstalker knives EXCEPT the ring. I just can’t get around it. Any chance that TKELL will offer those blades without the ring?
Nice knife set there. Will admit my edc is a cheap cold steel Luzon. It's at least quick open with pocket clip, I have zero expectation of it not being damaged if put to hard use.
The Gideon 3 is a perfect for defense with the Persian stile blade. It would have incredible cutting power with a reverse grip , pushing a slicing through. With many possibilities of technique in placement of the pull back after the slice through. Fantastic design!
these seem awesome but the price mark is rough on the family vet, I have purchased very high-quality of blades for under 100 bucks. I found a company based out of Cali, not going to give those details here of those knives not trying to deflect from this video and step all over his pitch. BTW I am not associated with this other company in anyway just a customer with a great review
Fixed blade karambit pattern EDC blades are my thing; as such, I’ve had my eye on T.Kell for awhile now. But your collab on Gideon 3 tips the scales. Getting a preorder in today on the next drop. “The Lord told Gideon, “With these 300 men I will rescue you and give you victory over the Midianites. Send all the others home.”” Judges 7:7 NLT
Really short knifes for me. Specially if fixed blades. For that side i prefer a Folder with a strong lock like triad lock or axis lock (SOG, Benchmade) . The first one its kind of a copy of the model 155 neck knife, from Black Jack Knifes, 154cm steel , convex edge,. Got one.
To make crystal from the get go, I know absolutely nothing about combat knives. Therefore, please excuse me if this question is ludicrous. In the video you did not comment on the knives' weight or balance. Do those have any bearing on performance?
why do so few knives advertised as EDC/tactical etc not have hand stops? i personally wouldnt want to try to stab seriously without one. Is it an absolutely necessity, no but its more functional. Just something small to prevent hand slide like the SOG Pentagon FX/covert they dont have anything protruding but its enough to stop your hand and also its a great design overall for a good price.
Are these knives for sale? I am a Nam vet from late 67 to all of 68. I was an M60 gunner and carried and modified bayonet tied to my leg. I love a good blade and always ready to look and buy new ones.
Wow. Beautiful set. Do the V2 half serrated with a Tanto blade and I'll buy one. The Guardian is an absolute work of pure art. Outstanding work gentlemen.
I really don’t understand why so many people frown upon tanto blade shapes for EDC. For actual functional and hard use by people who really use their knives for anything, the tanto is the most versatile it almost every capacity. Tip strength, ability to scrape and chisel, able to reasonably pry if you need to, flat grind functionality and hollow grind cutting ability, and so on. So for guys who actually carry a fixed blade in a tactical use situation where the knife is actually used as a tool and not babied, it’s just superior. Fireman, police, military etc would really benefit from a tanto. Increased ability to slip locks with less of a chance of snapping the tip, popping out window screens, puncturing stiff material, scraping material etc.
Jason just like you show there with guns on pegboards, what’s your thoughts on them? I see people on IG showing their holdup displays etc but doesn’t seem secure for a burglary not too mention fire etc
Ed Calderon turned me onto a whole diffrent dimension of "knife fighting" and/or "get off me" equipment... Look him up Btw I do like this video thank you for your time awesome knives!!
@frogmantactical I train in kali/escrima. In your opinion based on those types of movements which knife would you recommend? I was thinking the raider.
Hmm. I am thinking long and hard on these blades. Your description of each one is helpful. Still, they are not exactly what I envision as a "ladies" blade. I am small and have small hands. I want a cutting and piercing blade for edc. Maybe I should contact them directly with a design. I don't know if it would even be cost effective as I don't know how many women carry blades anymore.
I just read you are a brother in Christ and I immediately sub’d! Great content as well and I want to definitely check out the knife guy. God Bless, Rick

One of the best knife videos I’ve seen in a while. I would love to hear you and Kyle Lamb talk knives. Enjoy you v3. Carry it daily.

A little rust is called petina. 😊 plus if you gotta cut a bad guy you might as well throw in a little tettnis.
Tkell knives are perfection. I will one day purchase one. Hard part is choosing which one since there are so many perfect options!
The Hawk, Combatant, and the Bushman are AWESOME looking blades, that will find their way into my collection....and into rotation.
Great video. I have the Nightstalker, Nightguard, and the Bushman. Wicked blades! The Mercenary is next on the list.
