You always make us feel like we’re on your firearms journey with you 👍 My experience with the P320/M17 I like the way it looks and feels, shoots comfortably even with the bore axis, accurate and easy to use trigger I also see them malfunction just a bit more than some competitors Happy to have one in my collection but didn’t replace the Glock for me
Nice overview! I have a P320/M18 that is becoming my favorite full-size pistol. Two differences I am aware of between the civ versions and the real-deal GI pistols are the recoil spring (apparently the military spring is tuned for hot military ammo, whereas the civ springs are for lighter loads) and the optic interface--intended for a specific military-only unit. The P320 was originally designed without a safety, so it was a bit of a squeeze to get one in, to meet the requirement I've never noticed spring noise, nor the loaded-chamber indicator while shooting. While my pistol uses the same 17rd grip module as your M17, you can get a 15rd compact grip from Sig for well under a hundred dollars, for an extra bit of compactness. AND there are tons of other upgrades and options to be able to get different configurations and 'feels' without buying new pistols!
@@jamesshoots I have one on mine, and it feels great! In black, it also gives the pistol a nice two-tone look. The Sig SKU is 8901479. NOTE, there are a ton of grip options on the Sig website, not to mention other makers, so take your time and make sure your selection is exactly what you want.
You can find M18 slides or P320 slides of the same size from $250-$300 and should be even more comfortable. Love my M17, for carry I just needed a slightly smaller slide.
I don't like Sig and am a Glock shill for sure but i'll still hit like because i love the way you film your videos. Great work bro! Love the added Sony Sigma shots!
Great video I always enjoy watching your channel. Personally the only 2 guns I could ever trust my life too is Glock or HK I just have much more faith in qc and long term durability. Full size ccw is the best choice glad you promote that. My edc is a LEO trade in G22 .40 cuz im poor but I’ve found being a smaller athletic dude actually makes concealing full-size guns easier. With a belt and shirt that’s just a little loose most pistol disappear. Smaller dudes got the advantage is carrying bigger pistols
Thanks brother! Been wanting to try about a G22. Don’t think I’ve ever shot .40 and that needs to change. Tbh as much as I love the Sig, I tend to think there’s a reason you always hear about “Glock Killers” and such each time a new CCW type pistol comes out
Ever since the firing/safety issues idk if I’ll personally would ever carry this pistol and it’s funny cuz before that started going on I was really wanting a p320 in .40
@@jamesshoots in my novice hands I feel I’ve noticed the M17 has less felt recoil but the M18 is snappier and quicker to get the sights back on target if that makes sense lol
Im issued a 320. I do not like it much, It shoot and is reliable. Otherwise I don't see the benefit over a Glock 17. I hate the iron sight POI with the Sig. And mags are pricey. Otherwise its a modern striker gun like the rest
I actually just signed my transfer paperwork yesterday for an M17. It definitely doesn’t feel as nice in the hand as the 1911 I have, but I’m giving it a shot. Definitely gonna be my SHTF gun.
Haha I know what you mean. The 1911 feels much sturdier, but that’s not to say that the M17 feels cheap. There’s definitely a difference with those polymer frames!
@@jamesshoots I agree. Just picked up my M17 yesterday. It feels good, but it’s just different. The I have the Tisas night stalker single stack in 9mm. That’s how I found you channel, the Tisas review. It feels solid and is fun to shoot. The sig is more practical and is definitely my SHTF gun. Just need more mags, cause I got it used and only have a 21 round and 30 round mag. The Tisas feels better, but the sig is just as cool, just different.
You got lucky with the good mags too with the round witness holes in the rear of the magazine instead of the trash holes in the side of the magazine body. Definitely try out a Wilson grip or the X Series grips.
I own a sig sauer m18 with almost 11,000 rounds through it. I had mine for over 3 years now and u have experienced no issues what so ever. Reliable, accurate and a beautiful pistol
Yeah it would be stupid to have a safety on a gun that’s already had issues in the past with having its trigger go off without being pulled, that would be really stupid to have a way to prevent that from happening!!!
@@Gojeto346Sig lost its case this week actually a court found the company liable for the gun going off, The Gun world is about to go nuts on Sig all over again.
Is it really your EDC? You carry it to the grocery store? To the autoparts store? You bend and squat and stoop with it? Load the kids into and out of the car with it? I call shenanigans. People that claim they conceal full size guns don't live average lives.
I’ve been a Landscaper for 11 years and carry a G19 with a TLR-1HL appendix usually about 12 hours a day six days a week, I mow my entire route with it, Mulch with it and plow snow with it on. If you can’t carry a “full size” all day put down the fork or get a REAL holster and belt.

Thanks man! Yeah I like the M17 so far, but I guess there’s a reason that Glock is always the benchmark!

I owned one for a week and got rid of it. It just felt cheap to me compared to my Glocks. Maybe if it had a metal frame I’d like it more.
Changing out grip modules to one that fits you better is really easy and one of the main features of the p320 series
Check some of the xcarry grip modules. I hated the gen 1 grips and made the change and it felt like an entire new gun
