Burton as well Fear Factory has been my favorite band since I first heard them in the 90s.
Type O Negative, Fear Factory, and G/Z/R were all on the 1995 Mortal Kombat soundtrack, which still remains one of my all time favorite soundtracks.
Two of my all time favorite bands, TON, and FF! Ill never stop listening to them. RIP Peter!

I read in a post that Burton is going to cover Rammstein's Du Hast along with other famous musicians in an album called Tribute To Rammstein. Being a crazy Rammstein and Fear Factory fan, If this is true, I can't wait to hear that album, it's going to be super badass.
I was fortunate enough to see Type O Negative live only one time. Absolutely incredible experience seeing them in person. Kind of a strange story when we went....I think it was in 1999 or 2000 some band mate friends of mine got some tickets to Type O at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel in Vegas. It was on like a Tuesday night, which sucked, everyone had to work the next day, etc. So we show up there, and I shit you not, there was only a small hand full of people that showed up to that show. We were literally right up front, right in front of Pete. You don't realize how massive that dude was until you saw him in person. So awesome.
It was 1995. Type O Negative at their best back then.
I was there, 15 years old. It wasn’t exactly 200k people but 125k is equally impressive. Young as I was, have been in front few rows for most of the day. The general atmosphere surrounding Type O’s show was out of this world. Even the bit of rain near the end of the show didn’t bother anyone, it was so fitting
the wonderful thing is that burton is just the nicest bloody guy ever. only spoken online with him and even then he's just been a delight to deal with.
FINALLY!!! Two of my favorite bands and I always wondered if their paths crossed being that they were on the same label. I asked Dino on Twitter if he had any stories, but never got a reply. Awesome
First time I saw TON live was 1997 at the Cleveland Agora in Cleveland, Ohio. I won backstage passes from a local alt. rock station and me & my best friend went. I was 18 years old and intimidated as hell by Peter Steele, but him & Johnny, Kenny & Josh were really the greatest guys! Very humble and personable. They made sure that every fan backstage didn’t go ignored. Peter talked to me & my friend for a good 10 minutes, which was a lot considering all the people he had to greet and speak with. This is one of the best memories of life aside from getting married & watching my children grow.
I never got to see them live but I did fall in love with them while on acid. My high school friend and guitarist in my band back then used to always try showing them to me and I did like a few riffs but I just didn't really get it. Beginning of 2000, I was 17. Dropped some acid and the house I went to had a CD changer rotating a few discs. Bloody Kisses was in the mix and Christian Woman got me. Jesus Christ Looks Like Me sent me into the cosmos and everything looked green. Been a huge fan ever since. Fear Factory Obsolete has been a favorite album of mine since those days too.
I was at that Dynamo festival, shit was chaotically awesome.

been there too, 1997....Guess it was the last one on the airport. Type O were amazing, so were Exodus with Baloff, Fear Factory, Sentenced, Machine Head, Korn, Tiamat (trippy af), Amorphis, Entombed, Testament.... Hell, that was an awesome festival with an awesome billing. Great memory 🤘
Edit: What Bell mentions was 95, so I wasn't there. Type O played 97 again as headliner.

I saw Type O twice. First time in 07' 2nd time in 09" both in Detroit. I just recently realized that 09' show was the very last. Can only find the 07' stub.
I went to see FF on their 2016 Demanufacture anniversary tour. I got VIP tickets and was talking to Burton before the show, he spotted that I was wearing a Type O long sleeve under my shirt immediately and asked about it. So cool back in the day that most of the great bands were on RR and so they all knew each other.
Fans of both bands for 30 years now… Θ and ㅋF. Seen both in concert over and over again.
Kinda distressing to see Burton’s health ain’t too good here. 😢
