    Congrats for this very inspiring video. This kind of empowerment should be taught to everyone, with Tourette or any kind of adversity. The power to change your life is indeed in your own hand.

    My Grand Son has just been diagnosed genetically afflicted with Tourettes, missing a certain chromosone , he is exibiting "tics" and the Dr said in 9 mos it will get noticebly worst. I pray thanking God using good people like this to help calm the fear to have hope. Mr Elliot is there anything more I can or my family can do to help this beautiful boy, who recently scored a 110 on his IQ test.

    I started to experience some tics with my involuntary mouth movements around 2017. I somehow can overcome it by praying.

    So I feel like this was meant to provide hope but with no explanation of how he has gained control of his Tourette's it leaves me a bit frustrated as I'm going through medication changes to try to find a way to minimize my tics and in turn minimize my headaches from the constant barrage of tics.

      so sorry to hear. i have tourettes as well and have struggled day in and day out. You’ll find someone who appreciates you for you and not what you aren’t because you’re not your tics. All things happen for a reason

      Sorry to hear that. I have tourettes, first husband mocked me.... I'm at the point where I doubt I will find someone as much as I try to deal with my tourettes and have had to get used to my own company. It's tough but perseverance is the key

    While I love your message.. and have been an overall confide person... my tics are so uncontrollable and I try so hard to suppress fir many reasons-but a big one being that I've [unintentionally] hurt myself. . That the stress on my body builds up. I am desperate for peace in my mind and body...

    So how did you actually quit saying the verbal tics aloud how did you get rid of those? This would be really helpful to know if you can explain how you got them to stop.

      The tics can in some cases go away when you get older

    • @driftingmikey
      @driftingmikey 3 роки тому

      Yes, there's not way to "make them go away," but there are medications that can lesson symptoms, and they can fade away over time.

      No.. it’s not. Marc still promotes Keith Raniere and his NXIVM cult as the cure for his Tourette’s even after all of the crimes have come to light and Keith was sentenced to 120 years behind bars. All of these talks were part of Marc’s and Keith’s plans to recruit more people into the cult. I would highly consider taking this video down. He is a fraud. I also went to middle school & high school with Marc and his family so I know what he was like in the past. Please consider taking down this video.

    He did not show much footage of his tics or at what age he was. You can grow out of those tics in many cases. When he met keith for the very first time, were his tics as bad as it shows in this video? I
    I ask because we'd like to know if ‎NXIVM has any real merit? We don't want to throw the well-intentioned baby out with the scandalous bathwater, yeah?

    I absolutely don't believe that simply changing your perspective on how much bullying hurts will make it go away. It will hurt no matter what. That's like saying "sticks and bones don't break bones and words can never hurt me." I think the belief system is a great story, but cannot be equated to bullying. You are negating all the research and work people do to overcome issues with bullying. Your message degrades the impact of bullying issues.
