Yes. True, but I crumble with hate and sadness when the weak and young or good are treated in despicable ways. I cannot shield my emotions, as I cannot ignore the suffering of the innocent. Damn the wicked.

You are damning them because you dont have an understanding of others. Nobody is like you. This human life is a freedom, people live according to personal experiences. The next step is to develop compassion. Some of us are simply helpless.
I struggle with the same, the writing of Marcus Aurelius and his path to stoicism help me in a way nothing else does. For empathetic people like us stoicism helps ease the pain that is inflicted on us when we empathize with the suffering of others. Hope this helps lady

Anger is not a disease. Anger is not to be cured . It’s to be felt, to be conscious of it. Why are you angry Thomas? What is the history of your trauma?
In two words: rejection and betrayal. At a young age. That’s all that’s needed really.

Use your strength of anger to be the person you want to be today, and chop away at the parts of yourself that hurt you. Empower yourself and try to cultivate a sense of love at the same time.
Lastly, dont let them trick you into doing harm. The others will tempt your anger, but you will lose if you let them. As this video says, go your own way.
I understand, I’m a bit of both. I’ve grown up bullied and picked on from countless of people. I’ve also sabotaged my own self with my decisions I’ve made. It’s a very very very hard process

My thoughts since years. If other people have the ability to make you angry you give them the freedom to control you.
I have been disappointed but everybody except my parents even my brother who I hold very close to my heart has disappointed me. All my "friends" did that. I had an awakening experience about ten years ago. I gave my best self and most people stepped all over me. Sometimes trough the day i feel a bit resentful and yes I am awake, yes I had an spiritual experience that taught me so much and cured my conflict but Even though I know what i have to do, this feeling is raw and is it like an open wound... I hope i can go back to that enlightened state in this situation, Life is about me but I care too. Wish me luck in this healing journey. Even though we achieve the enlightenment state and we learned the lessons that LIGHT in other dimensions gives us we still human. Peace and good healing to all of you here.

It should be titled how to NOT be human and supress your humanity/anger. Anger is normal and human. Misleading as ever to tell someone to NOT be angry. Anger is primal and is what helps us manage our boudaries with others.Sadhnotsosmart
I don't think that's the point. He never said NOT to be angry, necessarily. Making the CHOICE to be angry isn't an unvalid one. Anger can be very productive but I've noticed when I allow other people to make me angry and direct my anger at them, its rarely very productive. If I choose not to let people make me angry and experience that anger by choice I can direct toward resolving things in more meaningful ways than say fighting with people on the internets, which is something I waste a lot of time and energy doing.
At least that's how I choose to interpret this idea.
@@MinuteArtSchool-xg6cnYeah, if I didnt pick my battles, I'd get mad at everyone for every little thing. The only times its okay to be angry, is if someone crosses your boundaries after you already expressed what your boundaries were to them.
Our anger usually comes from two things. Boundaries being crossed, OR some kind of anger your are projecting onto someone based off trauma or past experiences. One comes from within and the other comes from external sources. Plus, anger is considered to be a secondary emotion. Usually we are feeling something else and we express it through anger because its easy to get angry. When we are allowed to be angry, it still must be expressed in a way that doesn't attack someone else but still able to speak our mind gracefully. First we have to think, is it really someone who did me wrong, or is it me projecting onto someone? What triggered it and what am I actually feeling besides anger? Betrayal? Fear? Sadness?

I like this but then I will feel emotionally detached from what’s happening. I think I might have misunderstood something. I don’t think he’s saying not to care just to not let people affect you. However I want my family or friends to affect me because I love them. I want to be real with them. I think I’m too emotional to do something like this.

That would be ideal but I still run into anger issues especially now that I’m in my pre-menopause years and had a bad toxic relationship. Emotional freedom technique is the best thing I use.
