- I bought a 2023 XL Hybrid and I needed it to do truck and commuter things. It does those things better than 98% of other trucks and commuter vehicles. It IS a #hack! At $22,000 it is more capable and less expensive than almost everything else!

Got my 2023 Maverick Hybrid XLT a week ago, averaging 45.6 mpg, still using the tank of gas the dealer gave me. Loving my truck , you are right it is the perfect truck , commuter ride, very comfortable, roomy enough and bonus is the bed. I waited forever for Ford to come back with something like the Sport Trac which I still have since 2001 and it is still running strong as my former daily driver until this week. Now that truck will be regulated to nothing but trash truck or sold, just hard to say goodbye to a truck you have had since 2001. Enjoy your Maverick , I know I am loving mine. I got play pretties in mine like heated seats and steering wheel and pretty wheels and power front driver seat , cruise ect as I did opt for luxury package but still came in under 28k and that is less that I paid for my sport trac in 2001.

MCC Just Motors and Kilnntime I ordered mine September 16 and still have no build date. XLT hybrid luxury package, 360 co pilot, remote start. Hopefully I get a build date soon. Glad y'all like them. Can't wait to get it. Thanks

I have a Hybrid XLT in Atlas Blue and love it. I ordered in 2021 and waited 16 months, so got a 2023. I changed from Velocity Blue when it became unavailable for 2023. It's absolutely perfect for my needs.

Miles on my and still loving it!
I just saw a video recently that addressed the rattles. It is a pinch weld in the windshield pillar that needed a squirt of sealant. But, the windshield has to come out to fix it. The good news is that they crack easily, so the next time you need to change the windshield, have the rattle fixed. I am still waiting for the XLT Hybrid I ordered 10-9-2021.
Yeah totally 1 of the 2 areas I hear a rattle from, the other is the tft display.
You can purchase a rear seat canvas protector that is a hammock for your dog. A good brand to look into is the " Solvit" brang.

I agree with you. I've had my 2022 hybrid XL for over a year and have 18,000 miles on it. Unless I'm pulling a trailer or it's real cold I consistently get 40+mpg (calculated at fill, not dash reading). The only reason I have a full-size truck is to pull a large trailer once a month. I have same 2023 truck on order, but added XLT. So far all I got was three 45-day updates making excuses for supply chain issues and thanking me for waiting.
Thanks for the comments and watch. Yeah, the Hybrid carries a lot but not a huge tower…hence 90-98% of “truck stuff” lol. It sound like you a and are building a fleet :D!
Actually the plan is to sell or trade the 22 when/if the 23 comes in so no fleet. I liked your vid as you didn't just show features as many do and you kept it short. If I had the ability I'd make one myself and show my improvised plywood bedliner and tie-down rails I made from a discarded boat.

Nice! What color/level did you get?
I got the xl 2.0 gas engine last year with the hard drop in bed liner. One thing I wish they would have done is cut out the cubby and electrical panels. I installed a switch panel and ended up having to do it all my self but man it's a pain. I also can't install a rail or more tie downs for the same reason don't know where to make a hole due to the bed liner
I had the same thoughts as I put my bedliner in..Am I going to regret not pre cutting holes. I hope not. Lol

Dude, congrats on the truck - it looks sweet! I'm glad it's doing everything you need it to do... but the one thing it WON'T do, is prevent my kids from kicking the back of my seat while driving... hence why I have a half-ton, LOL!
What's the payload capacity [via the door jamb sticker]??? What's your actual gas mileage?

@@MCCJustMotos See, your floor mats weigh 11lbs. The payload figures on web sites are always wrong - the door jamb has a calculated payload for your specific truck [and 99.9999999% of truck owners do NOT know this].
FWIW, my loaded-up RAM has a payload of just 1,320lbs. Sad times for me.
That MPG is fantastic - I get... about a third of that :(

Still waiting on my 2023 Maverick XLT 2.0Eco AWD FX4 4K Tow. It won’t get amazing mpgs like your hybrid, but it will be my first truck!

@@MCCJustMotos Also wish it even had option for fog lights. There is so much space on the bumper even next to the tow hooks. Really no reason for the cliff front end either if you open hood and measure the space from the hood to the engine almost a foot of clearance that could be set for more aerodynamics and better range then what it already gets.

I am having issues with my 22 hybrid Maverick, on cold mornings a loud rattle in the transmission area.. also shuddering when going from engine shutting off and running on the battery.. only 4,000 miles on it

It should, I fit my pan America in with a few inches left, but I’ll see if I can measure.
@@MCCJustMotos ok, will look at a Maverick soon, And possibly try to order one in the base trim, with the hybrid type engine and transmission, It would be nice if a Street Bob would fit, maybe with the tailgate down, or mount the bike on a platform 4 by 8 sheet of plywood? Will check. Sounds like Mavericks are hard to actually buy or order.

Depends on what you want. The interior I actually like better on the XL. The only thing I really liked on the XLT is the wheels. I just bought additional wheels.
The maverick is just proving people wrong left and right. It'll be ugly they said, no, it's actually quite nice looking. It won't be super fuel efficient. Well no, it comes standard in hybrid trim. It won't be capable. Well it can actually haul more in the bed than many fullsize trucks. It won't be reliable. Well, those powers are both very durable, especially the hybrid. It just keeps shutting down the critics.
100% I just did a 150 mile trip 48.2 mpg calculated!
No towing during break in !!

Hey…I can’t answer your with 100% clarity. I’ll explain in more detail in my next video, but something crazy happened. Basically Ford customer service called me and they gave me my private transition offer and certificate number. The following week when I went to the dealer it had disappeared and nobody knows what happened even though they can see that they gave it to me in the notes. I have not seen the money yet I think some people are working on it.
@@MCCJustMotos Man, that sucks. My dealer has been less than helpful. Heck, I told them about the offer. I had to call Ford customer service to get it sent. Luckily, I printed mine, afraid of just what's happening to you. Good choice of color & power train. Hope things get worked out for you.

How can consumer reports say its the most reliable truck out there??? It's only been out 4 a year reliable means over several years??? Anyway I love Mty maverick and awesome truck

I have a 2022 velocity blue xlt hybrid .I think to call a vehicle dependable, it should at least be out on the market for about 5 years for consumer reports to say after just a year that it's very dependable carriers no weight with me! How can they know? what I can tell you is I love my maverick hybrid great mpg looks great rides + drives great but ONLY time will tell if it is dependable! I hope I think it will be! Predictive analytics, the first model year of the mavericks have been quite reliable. Many of the components like the hybrid 2.5 have been around for 15 years with an excellent durability track record.

@@KB-bh9hp No way am I getting that lucky. I practically had to threaten the manager at our Ford Dealership just to get price protection, so they don't try and charge a $6k markup upon arrival.
@@Apoplectic_Spock Of you live in and near Utah, the dealership chain we dealt with was great. Larry H. Miller, very well known and respected chain of dealerships. Recommend doing business with them, they aren't putting a markup on customer orders.
